When i was sold the rabbits i was told they was both male, so how shocked was i when my mum noticed that erm Tinkerbell had given birth.
Sadly when i moved out my dad took them to the RSPCA to be rehomed as i was unable to have pets in my new pad.
Minty was named after "Minty" in Eastenders.
No idea why i said he was called Monty in the previous post. I think all this DISing is making me lose a few brain cells :lmao:

Puppies are amazing!! They grow SO fast though, its mad lol. Seems like just last year or something we got ours and they are both 8 now. It's so fun training them though, they are so lovely too. They really become part of the family, i love it. We've got an english springer spaniel (missy) and a samoyed (kyra), as well as the 5 rabbits LOL.

awwwwwwwwwwwwwww thats just made me want rabbits again!!
we used to have lop eared rabbits, and bred them!! baby bunnies are adorable
wud love a lionhead rabbit, have u got any pics???? we now just have a dog, and its the worst decision on animals i ever made (followed closely by having a hamster) as we got a westie, and hes psychotic - barks at everything (wind blows etc) will be getting his bits chopped off in an effort to see if it calms him down (dh said its wud calm HIM down if someone chopped his off..... yes, i did take note ;) :lmao: )
so want rabbits again................... espec as a friend of a friend had a lionhead free to a good home..... might enquire about it again lol

Our rabbit is called Thumper - very original I know. He was named by DS (then 10) who got him given to him when his other Rabbit died. That one was called Charlie after a pony he fell in love with on holiday in France.
We also have 2 Guinea Pigs called Patch and Pig - again they were given to us and named by previous owner.
DD got 4 goldfish for her birthday last November who she decided to call Mable, Lockey, Goldie and Treasure. Not sure where she got the name Mable from. Unfortunately Lockey has recently gone to live in the great underground pond via the toilet. Mable developped a habit of swimming upside down - which after doing some research turned out to be swim bladder disease the cure for which is a frozen pea!!!

I used to have a rabbit called Bumper, and we had a Guinea Pig called Gadget. Bumper had some, erm, mental health issues. We thought getting the guinea pig would give her something to mother.... She never took to it and used to try and beat her up!! I loved them both- Even though Bumper needed to be handled with a brush and gardening gloves... Gadget used to like getting a bath though, and was very cuddley!!

Rabbits are pretty good for small children and they rarely bite. However, my last rabbit did have mental health problems that made her aggressive.... This isn't very common though.
Why not get him something like a hamster? I have a Chinese Dwarf Hamster and they are really good for young children (They rarely bite, and if they do it is mainly out of fear or being startled) and they are really easy to take care of.... This is my little fella:
http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n243/Bolan_Babe/2008_0720Randoms0001.jpg
If you do go for a rabbit, I would recommend something small that he can handle. My last rabbit was huge and quite a handful for a young kid.
Another good option could be a Guinea Pig. They're somewhere between hamsters and rabbits, and they are very adorable. They make an endearing squeaking sound that always makes me smile!

Ahh what a cutey
I had a hamster, named Cantona (after the French footballer) who was a violent little bugger. Used to have to put gloves on and dangle your finger into the cage so that he would bite it, and then transfer him into the sink to keep him away from the cat (:lmao: ) and then the same on the way back in!!
A rabbit with mental health problems, that sounds funnier than it probably was!

I'll have to talk to the wifey about pets, she isn't really an animal person to be honest. She had a rabbit that was half wild and sounds much like your old rabbit insomuch as it would attack anything including the next door neighbours dog's! She was devastated when her Mum made her have the rabbit put down and has never had another pet since (well other than me  )
