Does any one know when the stores will bring out their Halloween Costumes? We are going to MNSSHP, and my boys need costumes before we go on September 16. I do not want to order off the internet because I am not sure of sizing.

At the TDS we will be putting out all our costumes as of Sunday. We do have a few out now but most will be out by Aug, 24 or 25th. As for boys costumes we don't have all of them in yet.

The Winners/HomeSense and Toys R Us at Vaughan Mills had lots of Halloween costume racks out already. Not sure if the Old Navy or Children's Place had them yet. If you give your closest location a call, I am sure they could tell you over the phone if they are in already. What does your son want to be for Halloween?

I will check out this location either this weekend or Monday. :thumbsup2 My 7 year old wants to be Indiana Jones, and my 5 year old wants to be an army man.

I got their pirate costumes for MNSSHP at this store last year.

Is a little store in Oakville that has costumes out. They will even order costumes for you if they don't have want you want.

We went over to the Oakland Mall area (approx 15 mins from Detroit) and they have a massive party store that was just starting to set up their costumes. All of us are going to be pirates for MNNSHP in October. :cool1:

My best secret even though I have no children is to find a costume you like and go too Good Will or Value Village and make your own. It is way cheaper then buying one of those pre-packaged costumes and much better quality. Last year I dressed up as an angel. I bought a long sleeved white satin nightgown that came to my ankles for about $6.00 the only extra thing I purchased was the wings/halo package. I believe that was about $15.00. The angel costume to buy was closer to $40.00 (If I remember correctly). I would go and look for camouflage and get some pictures of Indy and work with that. Good luck in your hunt!

I second Value Village. They have all their new Halloween costumes in... costumes, makeup, accessories, etc. I remember seeing new Indiana Jones hat + whip sets when I was there, as well as the hats on their own.
