Walk from BWI to MGM

How far is the walk from the BWI to MGM. How long will it take to walk in July?

Yipe! about 1 mile-very nice walk along canal that the friendship boats use.

It is a very nice walk. We almost always opted to walk when we stayed at the BWI or Yacht Club.

In the July heat, however, the walk could seem much longer;)

I remember the walk from the BoardWalk to the International Gateway at Epcot seemed at least five times as long in August as it did in January!

I've never done the walk in July....but like the other posters it is a pleasant stroll we do almost every trip to MGM...

We always walk back to the resort after a visit at MGM. People are pushing their way into the water boat when you can have a nice, QUIET, leisurely strole back to your hotel. We've done this on each trip that we've stayed at the Swan and Dolphin. Only took us around 12min or so.

I think 15 minutes is extremely aggressive, especially from the BWI. It's a about a mile from where the walkway begins by the BWV. The average person walks a mile in about 20 minutes. That's not assuming they are puching baby strollers or walking with youngsters.

Considering that there is another 3-5 minutes to get from an Inn room to the start of the walkway, I would think it's more along the lines of a 20 minute to half an hour walk for the average family.

Thanks I think we will try the walk. Our youngest is 8 and we have no stroller.

is the walk twice the distance of the walkway from cr to mk, or
longer??
