Okay. this is my fires trip report ever so bear with me while I try and do this right...lol
I will start out by introducing myself and my fiance to you. My name is Amy and my fiance's name is Steve. We met in 2003 and fell head over heals in love with each other right away. I had just gotten out of a very long term relationship and the closeness that I found with Steve scared me a little becaues I didn't want to jump into something so soon, so I broke it off with him. We stayed in touch with each other throughout the next few years and were both eventually stuck in relationships that we were very unhappy in. One night after finally breaking it off with *&@&$^%! (I won't say such tings in the presence of Disney) that I was with I recieved an instant message from Steve. We got to talking and I soon found out that he had just recently broke up with the girl that he was with as well. After talking for a while (and knowing that he was always "the one that I let get away") I asked him "If we had the chance to give it another shot, would you?" and he responded with "in a heartbeat." I suggested that we hang out sometime soon. At this point it was about 12 midnight and he drove an hour to see me that night (or morning I guess you would say). We stayed up for hours just tallking and having a great time. We instantaniously picked up right where we left off. I found out about a week later from his mother that the reason why he imed me that night is because when his mother asked him "Is there anyone that you were with that you wish you hadn't parted ways with?" his answer was "Amy" and she told him "well...go out and get her." Two months latere we were engaged to be married. A month after that he moved in with me and this coming August we are getting married and going on my dream honeymoon in Disney.
Steve has never been to Disney before. I have been there many times and am a fanatic. I have been dreaming of having my honeymoon in Disney ever since I was a little girl and I am so excited to be able to share the magic with him and see his face as he experiences it for the first time.
We are getting married in our hometown on August 8th and we will be flying out on the 9th to arrive in Disney. We will be staying for 9 days and 8 nights to arrive home on August 17th. My parents are paying for our honeymoon as part of our wedding present. I wanted to save them as much money as I possible could because I already feel like they are doing way too much (they are paying for the entire wedding as well). I decided that since we are booking the deluxe dining that I would book a value resort (All Star Movie) considering we will not be spending much time aside from sleeping in the hotel anyway. When I called to make the reservation the CM who was booking it for me informed me that Disney was offering to book us on a flex pass and upgrade us to a moderate resort (CBR) for the same price (actually a few hundred cheaper). Of course I jumped at this opportunity, especially because even though I would not mind a value resort I am used to staying in the Deluxe resorts of Villas with my family. I was also very excited that I now had the option of laying on a hammock with my honey and watching the fireworks from the beach. So now that I had the reservation all set I had the task ahead of me of figuring out where we wanted to eat. We have three counter or table service meals per day with the Deluxe dining plan. I want to get the most out of the plan, but decided that lunch and dinner at a table service would be more than enough. Having three sit down meals a day would waste too much time, not to mention I am probablyg oing to have a hard time eating two big meals let alone three. So I sat down with Steve and asked him what countries he was interestedin eatiing in and kind of left the rest up to myself...lol. Since he has never been and I know the world better I figured it would be easier for me to figure out places that I have always heard where good or places that I always wanted to try. So without much further ado....here is our itinerary including dining reservations:
Saturday August 9th: *Magic Kingdom
*Late lunch @ Tony's town square (5pm)
*Late dinner @ Whispering Canyon Cafe (9:40pm)...I
have been to the Whispering Canyon once before, but
I was very young and my hubby to be is a country boy
so I figured he would really enjoy this one.
Sunday August 10th: *Quick breakfast @CBR food court
*Epcot
*Lunch @ Biergarten in Germany @ 1pm (although I
have been here a few times, he is part German and I
I know that he would enjoy the traditional atmosphere
of this place.)
*Dinner @ San Angel Inn in Mexico @ 7pm (I have been
here once for my parents anniversary dinner when I
was very young, but who could pass up the romantic
ambiance at this place for a dinner on their honeymoon?
*We will probably be dining during Illuminations so we
may have to come back to see it another night. That
is definately something I never miss and a first timer
must see.
Monday August 11th: *Hollywood Studios (still have a hard time saying that)
* Although I don't get sick on rides I think we will grab
a small breakfast after TOT.
*Lunch @ 50's PTC @ 1pm (I don't remember
much aout this place because I went when I was 7
and this is the kind of thing that my hubby to be
would absolutely love.)
*Dinner @ Tappenyaki in Japan @7:45pm
Tuesday August 12th: *Small breakfast wherever we choose
*Check out Downtownd Disney Marketplace and DQ.
*Lunch @ Wolfgang puck @ 1pm
*Dinner @ Tutto Italia in Italy @ 7:30pm.
*PI for the night
Wednesday August 13th: *Donald's Safari Breakfast @9:20am
*Animal Kingdom
*Lunch OOP @ the Rainforest Cafe @1:15pm (this
isn't included in the dining plan and he has been
dying to eat at a RC.)
*Dinner @ California Grille @ 9:20pm (I am so
excited about this one. It is going to be so romantic
seeing wishes from the roof ...hell just seeing
wishes is going to be exciting in itself. I have also
heard nothing but amazing things about the grille.
Thursday August 14th: *Check out the Boardwalk while grabing some
breakfast.
*swim, shop, maybe check out some stuff that we
want to go back to, basically just take a day to
relax a little.
*Dinner @ Spirit of Aloha show @8pm
Friday August 15th: *Breakfast wherever
*Pick up our three day rental car and head over
to Universal Studios
*Lunch @ Nascar Sports Grille (against my will..lol)
*Dinner @ Hoop Dee Doo Musical Review @ 9:30pm
Saturday August 16th: *Breakfast wherever
*Universal IOA
*Lunch @ Mythos OOP
*Dinner @ Coral Reef @ 8:30pm
*Back to Universal to have a night out @ CW
Sunday August 17th: *Breakfast @ The Crystal Palace @ 8:05am
*Drop off the rental and spend some extra time in
MK.
*Grab some lunch somewhere. Maybe Beaches &
Cream because he really wants that kitchen sink,
but I am not so sure that I want him eating that
before we have to catch a plane if you catch what
I'm saying...lol.
*OUr flight leaves around 8 so we will have to get
the ME bus probably around 5 or so. Then it's home
we go
He doesn't understand why I made a schedule...lol. I try to explain to him that since it is his first time I want to make sure he gets to see everything (which I know is impossible, but I want to get as much in as we can). I guess he won't really understand until we get there. Well guys...Now it's time to say goodbye. I will be back in two and a half months with lots of pictures and lots to report. TTFN!!!

I would like to add some pictures of my fiance and I so you can put some faces to the names but I am not sure how. Is there someone who can help me? When I click "insert image" on the toolbar it tells me to type in a url. I don't have a url I just want to add them from what I have stored on my computer.

So today I got the mail and there was something from Disney. The envelop said "For Your Information." It was a letter expleaing to DF and I that during our stay at the Caribbean Beach, there will be construction on the main pool and that the other six pools will still be open. Construction on the new pool should be done by mid september. I already new this, because the Disney CM's are always so good about letting you knew exactly when is going on while you are on your trip:) The thing is that this letter had a picture of Mickey, Goofy and Donald in little construction outfits. It was sooooo cute:lmao: I love how thaey find ways to send a little Disney Magic your way, even when it is about construction :wizard: I can't wait for my disneymoon:bride: :lovestruc Only 38 more days!!!!

Getting that in the mail really lifted my spirits too! It just makes it so real that our honeymoon is coming up in 36 days:banana: I'm soooo excited!!!!!!!
My dad just paid for the rest of the package this morning..so now all I have to do it wait for this month to be over and then off to Disney to worship the ground Mickey walks on:worship:
Quick question....Can anyone tell me how to get pictures onto my posts when I do my trip report and for me to show you pictures of my DF and I???? Please help....I want to post some pics for you all to enjoy!!!!

I love Epcot!!! Aside from MK of course, it is my favorite park! Have you ever been to Disney the second week of August before? What are the crowds like? I heard that they die down around that time, but then I also heard that the Florida schools have started going back later than the used, which would be the reason the crowds dwindle a little bit.
Steve is my best friend, the love of my life, my match made in heaven, the male version of me and a my five year old child all wrapped into one so I am positive that he will fall in love with Disney just like me:banana:

I am absolutely planning on doing both of those things! This has been my dream since I was a little girl and I am going to live it out exactly as I always pictured. Did you get the ears and the pin when you went?

We got the pins but did not do the ears and I think the ears are important! We spent our VR trip with 30 family members so we are headed back Jul 31-Aug 5 for a short "honeymoon" and I think I will wear the bridal ears for that trip :lovestruc

Yeah, you absolutely should! Even though you were there when you actually got married, you should really take your alone trip and make it an official "honeymoon." I am sure you guys will really enjoy it. We will just be missing each other by four days. When you get back I would love to hear about how your trip went and what crowds were like at that time of year.

I can't wait to go to the Cali Grill. It is actually something I heard about on the Disboards and as soon as I read about it I knew I absolutely had to get a reservation there. I have heard nothing but amazing things. Do they keep your food hot if you wan tto go out to the observation deck? I think we will be in the middle of our meal at that point. My DF works seven days a week usually. He works for a moving company and summer is the busiest time. He got three days off this week (f,s,s), so we got out the bags and got to work considering we needed to figure some things out and it was our first and maybe our only chance (he is soooo tired when he gets home). We wanted to pack as much as we could in our tiny carryon suitcases (we have two mini suitcases that are big enough to carry on). Due to my master packing skills (I have been to Disney many times and know how to fit the most into a bag...lol) we fit all of my clothes and a few of his outfits into our two minicases. We will just put the rest of his clothes into our huge suitecase and our toiletries and stuff.
I packed little quart bags filled with travel size deoderant, shaving cream, shampoo conditioner etc. and put them in our backpack as well as some plastic bags incase we get wet at the parks and want to change into a spare set of shorts (wet shorts can be kind of uncomfortable). With the travel size toiletries and the clothes in our carry on we figure we are safe just in case something happens to our luggage, it won't put a huge damper on things and we can just wait until it is found. I have complete trust in the ME service, but you never know...the airline may misplace them. I doubt they will because we don't have a connecting flight.
Anyway....it may seem like I'm jumping the gun since we have three weeks left, but as I said, he never gets time off so I figured I would get some stuff out of the way while I could get some time to sort things out with him.
Now that I have all of this done I have nothing left to do but wait. It's going to be a long three weeks. I told DF that I wish there was a pill I could take that would just put me to sleep until I had to wake up to go to the airport...lol.
Good news though. Even though my DF has never been to the world I have been showing him videos (travel channel, modern marvels etc) and he is really excited. He found out that they have camping grounds and since he is a huge camping person he asked me if I would want to either rent an RV or bring our tent and camp at the WL next year for vacation. Now, as we all know...anyone that is on this site is not going to pass up a chance to visit Disney. I was singing his praises:worship: I knew there was a reason I loved him:rotfl2: Even better...today when we were at my aunts house for my cousins graduation party, we started discussing going on a family vacation with the entire extended family. We were goign through all the ideas (island, cruises, vegas etc.) when my aunt Mary stand up throughs her hand in the air and says "I GOT IT!!!!" Why don't we go to Disney for a few days and then go on the cruise a few days. Now, keep in mind I am a Disney FREAK, but I have never really thought that my extended family was that into it...so of course upon hearing this I almost had a heart attack:lmao: I have also never been on a Disney Cruise before and have been dying to go. What better way to experience it than on a vacation with the best family a girl could ever ask for.
So now here I am three weeks away from my dream Disney honeymoon. I haven't even gone yet and we already have two more trips in the works. I am beside myself. I just want to get up and do the happy dance:cool1:
Well...I thik I have ranted and raved enough for now. Thanks again for being here to share my excitment with me. The disboards really feel like a huge circle of good friends. It's just another part of the magic of Disney...bringing strangers together:flower3:

I realized I gave you all the background on how we met and who we are as a couple, but I never introduced you to who we are as individuals, which I am sure will become aparent when you see the pictures and video from the trip. Anyway...
Me - Amy. A complete Disney freak and getting more fanatical with every waking minute. I become completely obsessed with everything I decide I am going to do. I am a huge planner, neat freak and can be a bit neurotic. I freak out about the littlest things and then five mintues later I am fine. I know...I sound like a joy to be around right?:lmao: I promise...I really am a good time. Nothing means more to me than my family. I have an amazing group of close friends who I can count on through anything and an amazing soon to be husband who I can not wait to spend the rest of my life with. I tend to talk a lot...my DF always asks me if I breathe:rotfl2: I am really just a big goofball. I love to have fun and try my hardest not to take life too seriously. I am a para professional for autistic children in the NYC school district and am going to school to get my teaching degree in special education.
DF - Steve (or as our beloved nephew calls him...Poopy head):rotfl: He is just a big kid. He is constantly cracking jokes that he thinks are hillarious (sometimes they are...sometimes not so much..ha ha). He's always doing some silly dance or singing some silly song and doesn't stop until I notice him (see I told he was a big kid). He's just a big goofball in general and a big teddy bear. He's constantly coming up with new wacky inventions (some of which are actually quite good I must admit). Hopefully he will be able to make us a lot of money with one of them someday. He knows how to be serious when the time comes, but really is just concerned with having fun, laughing and never growing up. He has never been to Disney, but is very excited to go. He is currently working for a moving company in NYC, but strives to open his own business some day. He is a great person, with an amazing heart and can not wait to raise children with me. He will be perfect for this trip because it will be like bringing a five year old to Disney for the first time and the look on his face will make my trip even more exciting...not to mention the fact that he will officially be my husband!!!!!

I am soooooooo upset:sad2: I was really looking forward to leaving a legacy at Epcot...it is my favorite park and just seemed like a really awsome and romantic thing to do on our honeymoon. It would be great to show our kids..."This is from when mommy and daddy came here when they come married" but sadly, I just found out via the Epcot site that they are no longer selling legacy tiles. It really is not cool...I really wanted to do this...why would they get rid of that:confused3
On a happier note...while laying in bed last night before we went to sleep I asked Steve what park he thinks looks like he would really enjoy it the most. He said Epcot!!!! My response...."That's why we were meant to be together. I love you...goodnight"

Just for a laugh and to see what big goof balls we really are, I present to you....idiotic pictures we have taken for no reason.
This is Steve after I shot a suction cup dart of our nephews at his head (those are not our walls..I would never let my walls look like that. I am a net freak!)

Steve put a plastic bag over my head and then I put his hat on top of it. I call this one...."the plastic bag gangsta". If any of you watch project runway you will get the joke. Last week they had an assignment to make an outfit out of stuff found at a grocery store. One guy basically just took plastic bags and draped a woman in them. He said she looked great and was ready for a night out on the town. It was completely rediculous. Can't forget the outfit was complete with yellow rubber dish washing gloves...ha h aha ha ha. Needless to say he was kicked off the show. I hired him to design my wardrobe though..lol. (sorry for the mess in the background..we were unpacking from shopping and sorting through things for our trip)

Probably not very interesting, but for my own purposed I took pictures of all our preparations.

One of our many personalized maps (one for each park and one of the entire World) that I got from the Disney website. This is a very cool feature. If you have not done this you should. The only thing is that it says my current last name on it because that is what name the reservation is under. I couldn't put it under my married name because my id will not be changed until sometime after we get back.

I was so happy when I got this in the mail. It was one of the first things they sent when we booked and I thought it was soooo cute that it said "Welcome Honeymooners." It was the first visual sign that I am actually gong to have my dream come true of honeymooning with the love of my life in the happiest place on earth.

My very neatly planned out and organized list of breakfast/lunch/dinner ADR's. Hubby to be thinks I am nuts, but when the time comes to have a reservation number handy because they can't find it.....he will be thankful that I am so organized.

Our printed out Jetblue itinerary so I can scan it at the kiosk and avoid all the other junk.

Our printed out Alamo car rental reservation for Disney's Car Care Center. I was happy to know that Disney works with a car rental which is right on sight. They send a shuttle to come and pick you up, which is great. We are only renting the car for two days (15th and 16th) so that we can go to Universal and not have to depend on bus transportation or pay fifty dollars each way.

yeah, his ring is tungston...lol. How did you know that? When we got it was the first time I ever even heard of that.
Thanks for the compliments on my rings. I really love them.
We are going for 9 days/8 nights. Jetblue cost us about $750 all together. It was more to fly round trip so I found two different flights. We are flying out of a different airport than we are flying in to. It worked out to be much cheaper that way. They charge too much for a round trip for some reason. It's okay though cause we have someone to drive us and pick us up.

I only knew because I bought DH a new ring last year for Christmas and we were looking at Tungston. He just needed something more sturdy than the ring he got when we were 19 & 20. He didn't want me to spend a ton and he's so not flashy, so he actually picked out Stainless Steel. I know, can you believe it??? Me either, but it looks great, nice and heavy and very inexpensive. $100!.
Weird on your flights and I still think $750 for two people is insane, but I've never flown out of NY before either. I usually can get them out of Detroit for less than $200. Last Oct I found some for $150/pp rt! I know, don't hate.;) Anyway, it does make it easier if someone takes you to the airport, then you don't have to worry about parking and getting a shuttle to the terminal, blah blah blah. We've had nice friend's, like yours, take us too. I hope you guys have a great time and a wonderful wedding. Are you more exicited for your wedding or honeymoon? Or just ready to be married and excited for the honeymoon? Or different kind of excited for different events? Ya know??

Yeah, Tungston is a great choice for someone who needs something more sturdy and isn't flashy. That is exactly how my DF is. It's a really nice ring and I feel comfortable with him wearing it because in the job he works at it would be easy for another type of ring to bend and cut into his finger. Tungston doesn't move. It's very strong.
We paid about $200 per person per route so that's why it came out to be that price. The cost of flying is more expensive now because of the cost of fuel, so what are you gonna do? We have to make sacrifices for Disney:)
I am very excited about our wedding. More excited to be marrying the love of my life than the actual wedding itself. We are having a small wedding (about 100 people). We decided to just do our family and close friends (which basically consists of our bridesmaids/groomsmen and their dates). It's too expensive when you start inviting people you kind of know and your parents co workers and your cousins uncles cousin...lol. Plus I am the type of person who just wants to have something where everyone is having a good time. Nothing too fancy, but elegant. I think the wedding will be a lot of fun, but I guess I just seem more excited about the honeymoon because the wedding is one day and the honeymoon is 9...in Disney!!!...lol.

I agree with sacrafices for Disney. We flew to Mexico this summer and I was almost sold on the fact that I would be paying almost $400/ticket for 5 people. Thankfully Spirit ran a special one random Sunday morning and got tickets for $99 each way.
We had a small wedding too. I agree with the not inviting people who you kinda know. We spent very little on our wedding invitations because why spend a fortune on something that only you and your parents are going to keep. I'm just so happy that you found your mate for life.
Can't wait to hear more of your plans.

Yay!!!!! Disney books!!! I have been dying to get the Hidden Mickey book for so long. I really wanted to get the Passporter for 2008, but all the bookstores I went into had to order them. Due to the fact that we are leaving in two weeks I didn't want to order it at the risk of it not arriving in time...soooooo....I got "The Hassle-Free Walt Disney World Vacation" instead. I mean come on..you think I am walking out of there with nothing? lol.

:offtopic: I also got "sTori Telling" by Tori Spelling for the plane ride and poolside reading. I know a lot of people don't like her, but I love the girl. I love the show and the babies and her husband. Just so sweet. A lot of people have the misconception that she lead this life of luxury and no worries. She actually didn't. She was her daddies girl, but her mother really felt that she took away all the attention and she enveied her for that. She was really mean to her her whole life and when the father passed away she gavenothing to her daughter. Tori Spelling actually works really hard for her money. She isn't poor, but she isn't rich by any means. She owns a lot of her own businesses and she wrote a book, designs her own jewelry. I know I sound like an obsessed, crazed fan, but I really just feel bad for her. She gets such a bad rep.

Sorry it took me so long to respond. I was in Indianapolis for a couple of days. My kids are 17 and 15 (both soon to be in Sept) and 9 in a week. I just turned 37 last week and man do I feel old! When I say it out loud it sounds ridiculous that I will have an 18 yr old in a year and a Senior in H.S. in a year. Plus, bonus for me, I'm 3 years from being 40:eek:
Sorry to ramble. Congrats on getting the books that you did get. Don't you hate it when you're looking for a specific book and you can't find it? Hate that.

I am just really hoping that this is going to be just as magical as I have imagined it for so long. The fact that it is his first time is really going to add to the magic and the fact that I have been dreaming of this since I was a little girl. I know I can't expect anything from the CM's, but from what I heard they really go out of their way to make your honeymoon the most memorable time of your life.

I was finally able to book our Mythos reservation today. We are all set for 1pm on August 16th. I'm so happy because I thought I would never get a reservation after all the stuff I had to go through to get it.
First I was told that I could book 3 months out. So I called and the person I talked to told me that I can not book until 2 months out. I called again when we were two months away and the guy told me that I had to wait until 30 days before. So I called 30 days prior and they told me that since Mythos is very popular they don't book until the first of the month that you are planning on going. At this point I was worried and kind of aggrivated that I had to deal with so much (#&* just to get a reservation:mad: I was worried because I would not be able to call until 15 days before I would be there, which really doesn't give me much time at all. So I called as soon as they opened this morning and guess what.....yup.....more of a headache. I had the hardest time getting a hold of an actual person. They open at 9am and I got an answering machine alllll morning. Finally a guy called me back at 12pm (of course when I was in the shower):confused3 Luckily I was able to get through when I got out of the shower and I was able to book the time I wanted. Thank goodness! I have been dying to eat there since 2004 when my family and I went in to get a table and they told us that is is the only restaurant in IOA that requires a reservation. It's reallly popular and they rarely have walk in seats (except in the off season). Anyway....long story short....after a huge headache I am all set and very happy about it.

Oh, also....exciting news on our car rental! I find out about mousesavers.com (yeah I know...I should have know about this). We are only renting a car for the two days that we are going to Universal in order to avoid taxis and all that junk. I originally booked the smallest, cheapest economy size car that we could get but when I found out about mousesavers I went on and started trying out different codes. At first I was trying to see if the codes might make renting for the whole week worth while (not so much...over 400 for the week even with coupons:scared1:). I couldn't see spending so much money when we could just use mouse transport. So after finding out that I could get discounts due to the fact that we are costco members I got a great deal:woohoo: I was able to get a car three whole classes up from the economy, add Steve on as a driver for free and pay 20 dollars less then what I was paying before:cool1:
20 dollars doesnt seem like a lot of savings, but if I were to rent the car that we are getting with the upgrade and add Steve on without the discount I would be paying 150 dollars more than the original price.
I'm so excited!!!! This way...I don't have to be the only one that drives and my really tall really massive (not fat, just really huge) husband won't have to squeeze into a tiny little car!

I am going to keep my notes and handwritten trip report/daily journal in this notebook as well as our schedule and everything, this way I have a little honeymoon journal that I can keep forever:lovestruc

I was wondering if you cared to share where you made reservations to eat at...I have been looking over a few places for our honeymoon i think he would like.
This is what I am looking at:
Epcot: Nine Dragons (possibility) FI loves Chinese but pefers buffet so we may skip this one. FI also wants to try something from every country.
Animal Kingdom: Quick Service
Magic Kingdom: Tony's for an early lunch
Liberty Tree for dinner
Or should we try CRT?! My niece & I went for breakfast spring break & I didnt care for it.
Hollywood Studios: Undecided
I also want to book a dinner show for us. I have never been to one & FI hasnt either...Have you been to one or know any good reviews on one?!

I also didn't make to many breakfast reservations. I only made 2 character breakfasts. I decided that 2 table service meals a day is a lot of food already so breakfast can be counter service. We are on the dinning plan so we were able to make a lot of reservations. Not sure if you are on the dining plan or not.

We are eating at the following places. Keep in mind that we wanted to eat in every country as well, but it's really hard to do them all in one triip. We did manage to get quite a few of them in though. DF has never been so I tried to make reservations at the places taht I know he will like as well as a few places that are new to the both of us:
Tony's Town Square (I have never been there, but I love the Lady and The Tramp and thought it looked really cute. I heard the food is pretty good)
Whispering Canyon Cafe (I have been here with my family on a previous trip and I thought it was so much fun! It's vey loud though, so if you are looking for a quiet meal or if you don't like to be involved ininteractive dinners then I wouldn't reccomend it. My DF loves things like this so even though i have been here, I booked it so that he could experience it as well. I know he will just love it. The food is really good home style southern food)
Beirgarten (I have also been here, but DF is part German and we wanted to eat in a reestaurant in the countires that we are from. It's a reallly cute show here and it is buffet style,so your DF may like it. the food is pretty good here.)
San Angel Inn (I ate here once for my parents anniversary dinner. I was only 11 years old though. I know it is absolutey beautiful and they have a mariachi band singing at the tables. I don't remember if the food was great, but I think it was pretty good.)
50's Prime Time Cafe (I went here with my family when I was like 8 years old. I don't remember too much of it and I here that it is extremely fun and interactive. All the serving staff are supposed to be like your mother/father etc. They make you eat your veggies and all that. My DF would really enjoy this plac eand I will as well. I hear they have really great pot roast and meat loaf and stuff)
Teppanyaki (sp.?) (We love habbachi style food and the show they put on cooking for you is always great the place we go to around here. I can only imagine that Disney puts on a wonderful show. Japanese food has a lot of ginger in it, so if you don't like ginger then I wouldn't reccomend this place)
Wolfgang Puck (I am a huge fan of Wolfgang puck and am really excited about eating here. Not sure what the food is like but I am sure it is amazing)
Tutto Italia (This replaced the other Italian resturaunt that was in the Italy pavilion. We are both half Italian and love Italian food so wer are very excited about this one)
Donald's Saffari Breakfast at the Tusker House in Animal Kingdom (The characters come around in safari clothes during this breakfast. It is buffet style and seems like it would be really cute. This is buffet as far as I know)
Rainforest Cafe (this is a place I have been to quite a few times. We used to have one around here and the atmosphere is great. The food is pretty good. My DF went to a RC once and he has been dying to go again)
California Grill (This place is supposed to be amazing. The food is supposed to be absolutely excellent. We made our reservation around the time of wishes because they let you go out on the rooftop to watch the fireworks. It is supposed to be romantic and amazing. They pipe the music in as well. This is a little over a hundred dollars a person. If you are willing to pay that or are on the dining plan I would highly reccomend this place)
Spirit Of Aloha Polynesian Luau dinner show (I have never been to this one, but have always wanted to go. I have heard the food is decent and that they serve a drink called a Lapu Lapu that is a must have. It comes in a pineapple and I am looking forward to ordering one)
Hoop Dee Doo Review (I have been to this dinner show when I was younger. It is so much fun and the food is pretty good too)
Coral Reef (This is a good place to go for a more romantic meal if you like seafood. It is a big aquarium and if you arrange to sit by the tank you can have a diver come up to the glass and hold up a signwith a message for your sweetie.)
Crystal Palace Character Breakfast (We are doing this for the character experience. I had a character dinner here once with my family and it was really cute. This one is a buffet style meal as well so your DF may enjoy this)
Liberty Tree Tavern (I here the food is good here and I believe the characters come around in colonial typle clothing, which is pretty cute. This is a menu meal and not buffett likemost character dining)
I hope I was able to help you out

When I went for Spring Break I ate at Whispering Canyon..It was ok but not a favorite. We also ate at Sci-Fi and I liked that place. Fi does like seafood but what I saw on the menu I was unsure if he would like. I know we are gonna go to Hoop Dee Doo. Are you guys on the dining plan? We are but I am thinking we will pay oop for Tonys for lunch and use 2 credits for Hoop Dee Doo to save us a little. I think you still get cat. 1 or 2 seats which is fine with us. I had heard if you eat at CRT you get free toasting flutes if its your honeymoon...Duno how true that is though?~

Yeah, we are on the Deluxe Dining plan. We get 3 table service or counter service meals and 2 snacks per day/per person. Since we are going to Universal studios for two days and we are eating at the Rainforest cafe one day (which is not part of the dining plan because it isn't owned by disney) it works out with the meals that cost us two credits. I believe you do get the flutes at CRT, but perks like that are something that you can hope for and not really expect. I hope you guys do get them though. I was going to make a reservation there, but decided not to. I think we wil next trip.
I am so excited...I'm getting married in three days and going to Disney in 4 days!!!!!!
I can't wait to share our trip with you and to be here for your planning and trip:goodvibes

Hey all...thanks for the well wishes. Everything was absolutey perfect. We had an amazing time in Disney. I have a ton of pictures and stories to tell. We just got back two nights ago and although I am dying to write my trip report I am trying to get a bunch of stuff done at the moment. We are in the middle on putting two new cars on the road and basically just recovering. As you all know..Disney is terrific, but lack of sleep catches up to you when you get home. I should start writing at some point tomorrow or the next day. Can't wait to share with you all.

So after all the planing and waiting my trip finally came and it ended so quick, but I had the time of my life:thumbsup2 If you haven't already read it, there is a link to my pre trip report in my signature. For those of you who have been following my planning...here it goes.
We got married in a justice of the piece on August 8, 2008 (we didn't even think about it being 8-8-08 but you wouldn't believe all the other just married couples in Disney that got married on the same date for good luck). We just wen out to dinner with our family and stuff. We may be doing a big ol' celebration next year, but this year we just didn't have the money. It was very small and intimate, but it was awsome. We have an amazing family and we were just glad to have them there with us.
DAY 1: My prince get his first look at the castle
We planned on going to bed at like 8pm the night before due to the fact that we had to be up at 3:30am and out the door by 5am. My DH is a mover in NYC and he had been having a pretty slow work week, so it was looking pretty good. Wouldn't you know that he ended up working until 9pm that night when the whole week he had been getting home at 5pm:confused: Oh well:confused3 We ended up going to bed at 10, so it wasn't that bad.
at 3:30am I shot out of bed and jumped into the shower. I was soooo excited:yay: Since he had worked such a long day the day before I let him sleep an extra half hour while I got ready, then I woke him up at 4am. We had plenty of time to get ready considering everything was all packed (including our park bag and emergency clothes incase the magical express didn't get our bags to our room on time, or our luggage got lost). All we had to do was get ready, pack the things that we were using that moring and we were done. We rang my Uncles bell at 5am (He lives in the upstairs apartment in our two family home) and we were on our way to the airport.
We got to the airport, through security, bought some magazines and breakfast and were at the gate by 6:30.
Here is a picture of my DH sitting at the gate and a picture of our plane, which was already there when we arrived.
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon001.jpg
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon002.jpg
We didn't have to wait very long. They started boarding us at 7am and we were off to Orland exactly on time.
We arrived at MCO about a half hour ahead of schedule and made our way over on the tram to find the Magical Express Counter. I had my magical express info in my hand so a CM (who was in a wheelchair) noticed and was saying "excuse me, excuse me" I noticed he was a CM and turned around to listen to what he had to say, but DH kept pulling me away. The CM pointed us in the right direction. I then turned to Steve and gave him a look like, "What were you pulling me away for." He said he is so used to being in NYC that he just assumed a guy in a wheelchair that was trying to get our attention was begging for money:rotfl2: I know...that's horrible, but if you are a New Yorker you will see the humor in it. Since he was a Disney virgin he had no idea what a CM uniform looked like. He felt reallly awful afterwards, as he should but it was still funny.
So we found our way to the ME, checked in and walked the red carpet to get on line for the CBR ME bus. WE didn't have to wait long at all. Actually I thing the bus was already there if I recall correctly. We got on the bus and we were off to CBR.
Here we are all excited for our Disneymoon. I couldn't stop smiling for hours.
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon003.jpg
Steve took this picture while we were on the bus. He said the billboard looked like it was on top of the bus.
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon005.jpg
I nearly jumped out of my seat when I saw this sign
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon007.jpg
We were finally there:banana:
We checked in at the customs house and they gave us all of our information and our Just Married buttons. We were assigned to Jamaica room #4330 (which for those of you who have never stayed at the CBR is building #43 room #30). Although we had a room number, it was not ready yet, which we already expected so we checked our bags for storage and hopped on a bus to MK:woohoo:
Here is my baby with his pin on (well at least his shirt)

Before going over to main Street we stopped in at Le Chapau to get my ears. Steve has a big head and those hats are really small so I had to pack safety pins to pin his on to his baseball cap. Since I could not bring pins on the plane, we had to wait until we got our luggage to buy his hat. Lady's if your man has a head even remotely big, bring pins or it wont fit.
Steve stopped to have his picture taken with Goofy. What a perfect pair
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon008.jpg
I actually got tears in my eyes when we saw this. My dream had finally come true. I had the perfect husband and I was in the most magical place in the world.
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon010.jpg
We stopped to have our first photopass picture taken, and I had the guy take one with my camera as well. (I will post photopass pictures when I get the CD)
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon009.jpg
The park was already really crowded since it was already the middle of the day so we decided just to walk around and go on the rides that didn't have crazy lines. We had gotten up really early and were tired anyway so we figured we would just go back to magic kingdom on our last day (we never did end up going back, but more on that later)
We rode on Small World first. I told him it's kind of corny, but it's a right of passage and he agreed.
Here are some pictures of us waiting on line and one of us in the boat (it came out blurry due to the no flash rule, but lookskind of cool)

After small world we headed over to Phillharmagic, which I had never seen before so it was new to me as well.
I loved the cute signs in the waiting area
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon015.jpg
And of course we had to get a picture in our fashionable glasses
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon016.jpg
I really enjoyed the show and so did Steve. The only problem was that I am deathly allergic to cinnamon. Even the smell of it makes my throat close, so when they wafted out the smell of apple pie I had to hold my breath for a minute or so:rotfl: No big deal though.
We had only eatin a bagel at 6am and didn't have our late lunch reservation till 5pm (we anticipated a much later arrival at the parks) so we stopped to get the much talked about Dole Whip Float to hold us over. I have been to Disney so many times and never heard of this:scared1: I know....what is wrong with me? but thanks to you guys I tried a lot of new things this trip that I had never heard of before. It was delicious and I was kicking myself in the head for never knowing of their existence.
Of course I had Steve take a picture of me and my first ever Dole Whip Float.
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon018.jpg
We headed off to Adventure land to check out the line for Pirates and took a silly picture of hubby on the way
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon019.jpg
Pirates had a pretty short line so we hopped on. I really enjoyed the new updates. I think they added the perfect amount without taking away from the fact that the ride is a classic and should not be changed too much.
Here is Steve trying to steal some of the precious gems
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon020.jpg
I would make a terrible pirate, I look too inocent

We headed over to tomorrowland
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon025.jpg
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon026.jpg
Steve had been dying to ride Carossel of Progress since he loved the way I had described it. It is one of my favorite things and after we rode he ended up hating it. He thought it was so boring. I had to keep nudging him becuase he was falling asleep. I woulnd't mind so much except when he falls asleep he immediately snores and it is LOUD..ha ha. I didn't think the people trying to enjoy the ride would really appreciate that. I guess it's one of those rides that you either love or hate.
At that point it was about time to start heading back toward Main Street for our 5pm reservation at Tony's Town Square. We got some really great shots of the castle while we walked over the bridge.
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon027.jpg
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon028.jpg
We arrived at Tony's and were seated right away. They even decorated the table for our honemoon...so cute.
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon030.jpg
Here is Steve excited about getting a chance to eat
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon034.jpg
and now for my first food review. I'm such a dork. I have been so excited about reviewing the food because I got to use the cuisine setting on my camera and the colors in the food were so vibrant..it took great pictures:rotfl2:
We were on the deluxe dining plan so we each got an appitizer, entre and dessert. (keep in mind that even though this was a very late lunch for us, it was the dinner menu)
For my appitizer I got the Tomato and Mozzarella Salad. I am half Italian and half Irish (but my parents always say I am NOT Irish and my sister is NOT Italian..lol. So basically I am 100% Italian) so I am very big on Italian food and this is one of my favorite things to get whenever I have the option. This was phanomenal!!! It was soooooo fresh. The bread was just normal bread and I really didn't touch it, but the tomatos, cheese and basil were to die for.
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon032.jpg
Steve got the Calamari. He said it was good. I had a taste of it and it was just normal Calamari. There was really nothing special about it. The description on the menu said "tossed with olive relish and drizzled with caper aioli " but my DH hates olives so he pushed it to the side. Little did I know until he had eaten it all (I thought he had ordered it without). The olive relish was really good so I would imagine it may have made the Calamari a bit more unique if I had tried it with it on.
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon033.jpg
For my entree I had something which I forget the name of and it is not on the Allears.net menu so I am not sure what it was called. I was gnnochi with broccoli, roasted red peppers, artichoke hearts and feta cheese. It was amazing! I absolutely loved it!
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon035.jpg
Steve had NY Strip Steak (port wine sauce, baked romano cheese potatoes and broccolini). He said it was pretty good, not the best steak he has ever had, but definately very tastey.
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon036.jpg
Dessert for me was very limited. Most things on the menu were made with cinnamon. Our waitress was amazing. She was the sweetest thing in the entire world (she looked like London Tipton from The suite Life of Zack and Cody). Anyway...she told the chef of my allergy and he came out and talked to me personally. It was just really nice to know that they care that much in Disney:goodvibes So I could basically only have ice cream, spumoni (which is a form of ice cream), gelato (italina ice cream) or sorbet (basically ice cream)...lol. I wasn't really in the mood for any of that so I was going to skip it, then the offered fruit. I LOVE FRUIT!!! and it was really fresh! Yummers
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon037.jpg
Steve had the Ice Cream bomb (chocolate and vanilla ice cream covered in rich chocolate sauce). He said it was good, but not something to rave about.
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon038.jpg
After lunch we were feeling kind of grungy and a little too tired to walk around the park much longer so we decided to head back to the resort to check out our room for the first time, unpack our things and shower before our late dinner reservation at Whispering Canyon Cafe.
On the way out I took this adorable picture of Steve. He was so excited to see his first Palm tree. This man has been all over, but never seen a palm tree. Hew was too funny. He thought they looked fake.
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon039.jpg
Speaking of trees, does anyone have a clue what kind of tree this is? I know it's weird to take a picture of a tree, but I have never seen a fuzzy tree before:rotfl2:
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon040.jpg
We arrived at our room and found our luggage waiting for us. Gotta love the magic of Disney:wizard: I have to admit I was a little sceptical of checking my bags in New York and leaving it up to someone else to get off the plane and deliver to my hotel room, but it was so carefree and great. it saved so much time. We unpacked, freshened up and head out to catch a bus to connect to the Wilderness lodge.
Steve is a real outdoorsy country boy and I knew he would love the Wilderness lodge. I had not been there in quite a while so I was surprised at how much I fell in love with it as well. We have decided that we are definately going to stay there some day (when we can afford a Deluxe Resort).
This is a picture of Steve really excited about the lobby, but it came out too dark to see the background:mad:
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon041.jpg
Steve was really excited about Whispering Canyon because I told him about the ketchup thing and how they bring you huge drinks and huge straws if you drink too quickly or too much. He lives for that stuff so he planned on pullin gout all the stops. It was a bit dissappointing though because as nice as our waitress was, she really didn't play into it too much. She brought him out a really big straw, but just kind of gave it to him without making a fuss and as muc water as he drank, she didn't even bring a huge glass. I think it had to do with the fact that we were one of the last tables of the night so they were all just trying to get everyone out so the could go home. I will know next time to make a reservation during lunch rush or something.
Steve looking at the menu with anticipation of the antics to come (or not)
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon042.jpg
Anyway...we ordered the skillet. It was okay, but you go there for the entertainment and not the food so I didn't expect it to be fabulous or anyting. Steve really wanted the cheese and sausage plate, but appitizer was already part of the skillet so our waitress gave him a free appitizer anyway...so sweet.
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon044.jpg
I took this picture of Steve with is big straw and this waiter jumped into the picture...I love this!
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon043.jpg
We didn't end up eating dessert there because we were pretty full from having two meals so close to each other and we were exausted by that time. We took our dessert to go. Our sweet waitress gave us a piece of apple pie for free due to us being on our honeymoon. I got the Kahlua flavored Chocolate Cake (chocolate mousse filling and fudge icing) and Steve ordered the S'more Cheesecake ( New York style cheesecake on a graham cracker crust topped with chocolate ganache and marshmallows).
We headed back to our room snuggled up next to each other on the bed with out desserts and watched some t.v. before passing out.
I didn't take a picture of our dessert because it didn't travel too well, but they were both very good.
On a side note...it's amazing how many strangers you end up meeting and talking to just because they are nice enough to congratulate you on your marraige. I guess I'm not used to people being so nice...I am from NY..:rotfl2:
Up next:You don't realize how big EPCOT really is until you bring someone who has never been and try to show them everything in one day:scared1:

Thanks! Yeah...he really loves silly things like that. It is too bad that we had such a late dinner and they didn't really play into it that much. There is always next time though.

Ha ha...yeah. Our first day it rained for about an hour when we got there, but then it cleared up. We actually left Florida right before Orlando started getting hit with really bad weather from the hurricane. We lucked out though..aside from the first day and a little shower another day we had beautiful weather...hardly any rain at all and the temps were only in the mid 80's to low 90's, which is amazing for Orlando in August.

Hi there! I came over from Punkin's (Dawn) TR. I read your PTR and am caught up on your TR. I am a teacher in GA. We already started back (I went back 8/4, the kids started back 8/11) but we are out before Memorial Day. Anyway, great TR so far! Glad you found the man of your dreams (I'm still looking in my mid 30's) and that you got to go to Disney for your honeymoon!

Well, I am just one person, but in my opinion Tony's is great! It's really cute and the food is excellent. If you do decide to go order Italian food...lol. My husband ordered a steak and he said it was good, but not great...well duh, your in an Italian restaraunt. It's funny though, as my trip report continues you will see he ordered steak almost everywhere we went. Way to try new things:rotfl2:

Wow, you guys go back early. I heard that the schools in the South go back early though. I guess it's probably because it would be torture to keep the kids in school during the really hot months. It doesn't get hot here until mid June and only lasts a month. I teach as well...my kids go back to school in a couple of weeks. I am not sure of the actual date...what a teacher I am:rotfl2:

Oh yea I forgot to tell you about the fuzzy trees! You know how you can buy Peat Moss at the store for floral arrangments and things?! That is what that is that grows on the trees there. A lady told me when we went in April.

Oh, it is still hot here - usually upper 90's, though Fay brought lower 80's for a few days, which is nice - so I don't think that is the reason. June is actually milder than August, though none of them are mild in my opinion. We get a few short weeks for fall and spring and I try to get outside for those, b/c May - Sept you don't really want to be out much. Besides the heat and humidity, we have the smog...and it can be bad on allergies and asthma.
No, I really don't know the reasoning behind it. Back when I was in school we went back after Labor Day like everyone else, but like I said, I don't mind it b/c we are out before Memorial Day. It is nice to hit Disney right after Memorial Day b/c it is still tolerable as far as crowds. Though I am sure it is the same in August for you guys.

I'M HERE!!!!! I'm sorry....I got crazy busy. We are going camping this weekend and I was trying to get things ready and trying to get my darn video from our vacation to burn. I made it in windows movie maker and it gets up to a certain percentage and just stops. It is really aggrivating me because every other movie I have made on that program has burned without an issue and now the one that is most important to me that everyone is begging to see isn't working:mad: On top of that photobucket was giving me a hard time for a few days and I had no pictures to put on, but none the less...here I am and I am posting an update rigth now:banana:

Before I start, I just wanted to say...WE GOT OUR PRINTS TODAY!!!! I am soooo excited. This means I get to start scrapbooking. I got a bunch of cute scrapbooking stuff at "The wonderful world of memories" in downtown Disney and I got a really cute photo album. I am really excited to start working on all my projects. I also ordered our photopass C.D. the other day and ordered a mousepad with us kissingin front of the castle. I ordered it express delivery (because I am impatient..ha ha) so it should be here by tomorrow or the next day.
Just a note for anyone who is going to be going to the world soon and is planning on doing photopass. Photopass should be sending you an email about a month before you leave telling you that you could save 20 percent by pre ordering your C.D. When I got the email I went to the site to check it out and pressed order, but then I didn't actually process it (just had it in my shopping cart). I wanted to double check with Steve to see if he thought we should pre order it. We agreed to wait till after vacation because we wanted to make sure we liked the pictures first. When I went to order the C.D. I figured I would be paying full price, but since I put it in my shopping cart before vacationn I got the discounted rate:cool1: It only saves about 20 dollars, but hey...I ended up getting the C.D. and the mousepad for the same price as the c.d. would normally be, so if you are planning on getting the photopass C.D. or even if you aren't sure, just put it in your cart so you can get the discount rate. Also... they charge a little over 12 dollars for one print and they charge 120 for the whole C.D. so it is worth getting the C.D. if you like more than 5 or six pictures. They send you all the originals plus the ones that you add stuff onto...okay...now that I have talked in way too much detail....ha ha...on with the report.
Day 2....Epcot!
We woke up at around 6am to get an early start and get to Epcot for morning EMH. We decided that we would get breakfast there so that we could run over and get fast passes for Soarin' right away, as I have heard if you don't there is not a very good chance of getting to ride and I have never been on. We arrived at Epcot around 8:15 or so (only a few minutes behind schedule), stopped to take some pictures We bought pins with us today so that we could buy Steve his Mickey Groom Hat so we headed over to Mousegears and pined it on. I couldn't get it to go on straight (though Steve managed to get it straight by the fifth day or so) so it ended up tilted and we called him the pimp groom the whole time. He kept saying he was going to go out and get a huge piece of Mickey bling towear around his neck:rotfl2:

http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon045.jpg
....and we rushed over to Soarin' to grab fast passes. We got over to Soarin' around 8:30 and the fastpass return time was between 10:15 and 11:15. This worked out really well for us considering we hadn't eaten breakfast yet. We stayed in the land building and grabbed some quick breakfast at Seasons.
I took pictures (we both got the same thing), but it really was just your normal processes, fast food breakfast.
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon048.jpg
We headed to the check out counter and while we were checking out, we found out that we where allowed two drinks with our breakfast on the deluxe dining plan. This worked out great for the rest of the trip because we each got a chocolate milk or coffee and a bottle of water to save for later. Anyway...as I was walking back from grabbing our bottles of water I heard a little sweet voice from behind me..."excuse me miss"...I turned around and the cutest little old lady was peeking over the counter top of the bakery with her hand out over the top of the counter. I walked closer and realized she was handing me two chocolate chip cookies. She wanted to congratulate us on our wedding and was giving me a present. It was cutest, sweetest thing ever. You should have seen this lady. Too precious.
Here are our cookies (nothing too exciting, but I am one for detail)
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon049.jpg
After we ate breakfast it was around 9:30 so we figured we would just do "Living With the Land" to kill the time before our fast pass was ready. I took a bunch of really boring pictures of plants which I won't bore you guys with. I did however take a few that I will share.
Here we are on "Living with the land"

I have to admit that ride is kind of really boring, but it is a bit interesting in the way that they have their own way of growing things too.
After "LWTL" we headed over for our Fast Pass time on Soarin' This was the first time that I actually had to wait on a Fast Pass line. This ride is THAT popular. The wait wasn't long (only about 10 minutes) but I usually just walk right on when I do Fast Pass, so it just surprised me. When we were on line we met this mother and daughter. They were so sweet. The little girl (maybe like 12 or so) was so talkative. She just made friends with us instantaniously. She was so cute. She was tellingus about everythign they had done so far and how great Soarin' was and all this stuff. She ended up telling her mother that she thought we were really nice and she wanted to give their fastpasses to us (they had two more fastpasses that they weren't going to use). We gladly and graciously took them and went on to enjoy the ride. It was absolutely amazing! We enjoyed the ride so much. We wanted to use the fastpases again and request the front row, but the time had expired by about a half hour. We didn't know at the time that they would still take an expired Fast Pass, so we just went on with our day.

Although we really wanted to do "Mission Space" we decided against it. After hearing that a woman with high blood pressure had died from riding I really decided that it wasn't worth our lives. I had riden it once before (about 4 years ago), but i was much thinner then and my BP wasn't high. We had both just recently found out that our blood pressure was a bit high and since we don't have health insurance right now we couldn't get meds to take care of it.
So we headed over to "Test Track" instead. Here is Steve waiting on liine.
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon050-1.jpg
and here I am getting my crash test dummy measurments taken
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon051.jpg\
The line was maybe about 15 - 20 minutes long, but it went by pretty quickly. I really enjoy the line area on thi ride. It is really interesting how they show you the way they test everything on cars. Steve loves that kind of stuff so he was really into it as well. We really enjoyed this ride and were really happy to see that you were able to add the ride photo to your Photo Pass. I thought this was an excellent feature. I will post the photo when we get our C.D. It is actually pretty funny because Steve has this look on his face like he is just soooo thrilled (sarcasm intended). He tends to be very expressionless, even when he is having the time of his life so this made me laught histerically.
After the ride we enjoyed looking at the cars in the exit showcase area.

http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon052.jpg
Steve looooooves cars so we spent a considerable amount of time in the showcase. To give you an idea...we finished up at Soarin' around 11:15 and by the time we were done with the car showcase we had to start heading over to our 1:00 lunch reservation at the world showcase.
We stopped for a minute outside to get cooled down for a minute

http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon055.jpg
Then we started heading over to the World Showcase. We realized that there is a boat that takes you directly to Germany so we decided to stop in the store right before the boat dock. We had some time to kill considering we didn't have to walk the entire way. Steve ended up buying a Mickey BBQ Apron (he is a grill man...his grill is his baby), which I thought was soo adorable. I made him pose for a picture:rotfl2:
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon059.jpg
We also bought "Cooking With Mickey and the Disney Chefs." I still haven't made anything, but I am determined to make somethign next week.
I think I also bought a magnet and some post cards in this store. After we were done in the shop we headed over to the boatdock and were on our way to Germany in the World Showcase. I was really glad they had a boat straight to germany because I didn't want ot ruin the world showcase for him before he got a chance to enjoy it. I really feel that the first time you see it shouldn't just be a quick walk through.
Anyway. Here we are on the boatride.

When we got off the boat in Germany we still had about a half hour or so to kill so we decided to.....Start our drinking tour of course!!!!!
I chose a light beer
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon096.jpg
and Steve chose a dark lager (which he got through one glass of and then couldn't finish his second glass at lunch...aparently it's very heavy..I wouldn't know...I don't touch the stuff)
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon095.jpg
We stopped to have a nice gentleman take our picture for us (which ended up being one of the shots I am going to frame)
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon093.jpg
We still had a few minutes so we went in to check out one of the stores before lunch. While we were in there we bought our passport and Steve looked around for something. He is half German so he was loving Germany and had to buy something. If he loved it that much already I couldn't wait for him to check out "Beirgarten."
He ended up buying this shot and pint thing, which is now sitting on display in our kitchen.
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon001-1.jpg
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon002-1.jpg
While we were in the store this really cute little German girl came over and told me that I had a phone call. I picked up the phone to hear Mickey and Minnie calling to say congratulations! It was the cutest thing!
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon092.jpg
We headed in to "Beirgarten" for our lunch reservation.
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon097.jpg
We were seated by another adoarble little German girl and waited on by an even more adorable little German girl. I just love little German girls, can you tell? I just want to pinch their cheeks. We ordered another round of drinks (I mean come on..it's Oktoberfest and you have to have a drink for the drinking songs) and we went up to get some food before the show started. I didn't eat much due to the fact that I am not acustomed to eating so much in one day, but the food was really good. Steve looooooved his German food and we both really enjoyed the show.

Isn't he adorable...so proud to be in Germany
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon099.jpg
After lunch we decided to head over to France. We wanted to be able to go from one end of the World Showcase to the other and at that point we were smack dab in the middle. It was a pretty long walk, but the walk would have been longer to work our way from the middle to one side and then all the way over to the other side, into the middle again and back out of the park...lol.

oh...btw...sorry about the lack of food porn in Germany, but it was a buffet and not really anything to photograph.
So we arrived in France and I was just soooo excited at this point. Epcot is my favorite park and the World Showcase is just amazing!
We checked out some of the shops. We contemplated buying a nice bottle of wine to enjoy together that night, but didn't really want to carry it around all day and delivery of a bottle of wine to our room that wouldn't arrive till the next day seemed silly. The wine shop was really cut though. We stopped to paint a masterpiece....

http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon111.jpg
and then onto drink #2 (well, drink #3, but drink #2 as far as our world drinking tour went)
He got a lemon slushi, grey goose thing and I got a mango and rum slushie thing. They were both very very good. We sat down at a little table by the lagoon and enjoyed our drink, the view and our love for each other in such an amazing place.

http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon114.jpg
We checked out some more shops and got our passport signed by a really sweet girl.
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon110.jpg
We enjoyed a little bit of a show where a guy was stacking chairs and doing stunts on them...pretty cool, but they guy who was handing him the chiars just kept blowing a whistle (like instead of talking). We had to walk away because Steve said he was going to stick the whistle where the sun don't shine:rotfl2:
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon104.jpg
We stopped to check out the little library room (adorable). I loved it!!!!

It's amazing how there is always something new to see. This time aroundI really got to enjoy the world showcase. My family usually just kind of does a walkthrough. I really took my time this time around and I was loving it!
After we were done exploring France we headed over to Morocco.

http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon117.jpg
We headed outside to take a picture and move on to drink #3 in our world tour.
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon116.jpg
i didn't take any pictures of our drink here, but he had the sultan oasis and a had the bahibi. I thought his was horrid, but loved mine and he thought mine had an aftertaste of suntan lotion and loved his. When I asked how he knew what suntan lotion tasted like he informed me that he was a curious kid:lmao:

I love how Japan is basically just a huge store..ha ha. We enjoyed looking around. We really enjoy eating all sorts of Asian food and often order or make it at home so we purchased two really nice sets of chop sticks.

I tried on a pair of wooden Geta sandles, which I found out are actually used to track a persons location at any given time from their starting point. The back heal area has a displacment sensor on it. Anyway...not very comfy or easy to walk in.
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon132-1.jpg
We stopped for a little look in the tin toy factory and to get our passport signed.
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon134-1.jpg
i didn't get a picture of us getting the passport signed because the woman was kind of short with us and seemed very rude, but oh well, still got it signed.
We stopped for a picture of the pretty scenery on the bridge
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon135-1.jpg
We decided to skip our drink in Japan, not because we were done drinking..that would just be silly. We only saw sake and sake is something that would make both of us gag...yuck! No gagging allowed in Disney, only happy things, so we moved on to America, which we kind of just got our passport signed in and drank a beer. I didn't even get any pictures here. Quite Frankly I think the American Adventure is boring and he would fall asleep and embaress me with his snoring so we skipped over that. Basically, we just stopped at a pin stand and got some pins. We got a pin with our passport and steve decided he would like to add to it by getting pins and decoarting our backpack. We ended up buying three mickey head flags (Italy, Ireland and Germany), a Minnie and Mickey sitting in a diamond ring pin and a few others, wich we added to and lost as vacation went on. We did catch a glimpse of the "Summer Concert Series" but didn't sit down to enjoy it because time was running out until our dinner reservation in Mexico and we really wanted to enjoy the rest of the countries. So on we ventured to.....
Italy (home of my peoples)...I'm half Irish too, but I am the Italian daughter and my sister is the Irish one. My dad always says I am not Irish...ha ha ha. I don't look it at all and my sister doesn't look Italian at all. Steve is about a quarter Italian, half German and a quarter mutt...lol. We enjoyed our time in Italy and really took our time to look around.

We checked out the shops.
I loved the masks
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon141-1.jpg
and I just thought it was so funny that Italian Ritz basically were called Snackini's
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon140-1.jpg
After checking out the shops we moved on to drink #who the heck even knew at that point:rolleyes1
Steve and I went up the the little drink stand and we were deciding on what to get he said "I'm going to get something manly" He seemed to think all his drinks so far were too girly. He ended up getting a belini, which came in a champagne flute:rotfl2: I could not stop laughing. He proceeded to have me take a picture with him,his drink andhis friend the donkey to makehimself seem manly. Can you tell we were feeling a little tipsy?

We ended up back in Germany and got our passport signed really quick. We weren't able to get ti signed when we bought it because we had to run over to our lunch reservation and I still had to get the stickers set up. We were having so much fun in all the countried that we were surprised to see that i was already almost 7 and we had a dinner reservation at "San Angel Inn" in Mexico. We had to skip over Norway and China and go straight to Mexico. We missed Canada and United Kingdom that night as well, but figured we would just revisit Epcot and finish up the world showcase (which we never got to do unfortunately, but more on that later)
So we went over to Mexico and had a little time to spare. We checked out the Grande Fiesta Tour with Donald added. I thought it was really cute and so did he.

http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon146-1.jpg
We checked in for our reservation. The line just to check in was like 10 minutes long and they were turning away walk ins. we got a pager and checked out the market place were I bought a really pretty bracelet.
The marketplace is only so big though and the wait was soooooo long. We were waiting for like a half hour and we were just so tuckered out from such a long day.
I mean....look at us...this is a picture of us waiting...we were exausted
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon150.jpg
Just as Steve was about to go up and ask them how much longer it would be (we were seriously contemplating just grabbing something quick and enjoying the rest of the showcase before the fireworks) the pager went off.
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon149.jpg
We were seated and we ordered Margarittas
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon153.jpg
These things were STRONG!!!! I mean....Steve drank his all up, but I could hardly drink any of mine and it's a good thing. I was already feeling tipsy. He would have had to carry me out of there if I drank that whole thing. I mean...I am not skinny, but I am a tiny girl. It was way to strong for me to even sip.
I had heard some pretty bad things about this place, but it is really beautiful and I wanted to eat there for the atmosphere, not to mention I had not heard the bad reviews until right before our trip. I would have never been able to get a reservation in another country at that point. The reviews I had heard were from people eating lunch there though, so I was hoping dinner would be better.
For my appitizer I got duck meat taco's. I don't know what they called it, becuse it doesn't seem to be on the menu on allears.net but I thought it was absolutely amazing. Actually....I am glad it was because my dinner wasn't really good at all and the appitizer was big enough for me to eat as a dinner.
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon156.jpg
Steve had the Sope Tradicional (grilled soft corn shell filled with chicken and refried beans, covered with fresh green tomato sauce, fresh cheese and onions, served over a bed of lettuce ), which he said was pretty good.
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon157.jpg
For my entree I had the Plato Mexicano (Beef Tenderloin Tampiquena, chicken enchilada, and beef flauta, served with sour cream, black refried beans and Mexican rice) The meat was way over cooked (and I like my meat well done), the roll up thingy was just really dry and I didn't even try the enchilada)
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon158.jpg
Steve had the Puntas De Filete (Beef tenderloin tips sauteed with onions and chile poblano strips covered with roasted chile pasilla sauce, served with black refried beans and rice) He thought it was excellent.
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon159.jpg
We ended up skipping dessert even though it was part of our meal plan. Nothing really struck our interest and since we were seated so late we didn't want to miss Illuminations.
We ended up stopping over in the Norway Bakery and getting a School Bread to share when we settled in to watch some t.v. that night. I had heard amazing things and just had to try one. While we were there I saw this little cone role up thing with some typed of sugar on it and cream in the middle. I asked the guy what it was and he said "Oh, that's Frugenlugen Cone" I was like...."What's in it" so he goes "Frugenlugen Cream"...very descriptive...I know exactly what it is now!!!!:rotfl2: I am sure it wasn't called Frugenlugen, but that is what it sounded like...lol.
We went out in front of Norway and waited for the Illuminations show to start. Steve had originally said "hun, we are so tired, why don't we just go home and beat the crowds?" I told him "No way! You will regret it!" He was sooooo glad I made him stay. He loved Illuminations. I mean...who wouldn't? I think that was his first real taste of the amazing magic that you feel when you are in Disney.
After the show was over, we started our long trek on our very tired feet back to the front of the park. On the way out we bought a light up tinkerbell for the backpack and he got a light up necklace thing that he ended up putting around his Mickey Groom hat and calling it his flashedy doo da. This is the point in the vacation where he really started getting into it and acting like a five year old kid. I loved seeing him enjoy himself and just let himself go. It was probably the best part of my vacation. I love him so much. On our way out we saw this little old man on his scooter and his year of a million dreams ears on....our hearts melted and so began the photography of cute disney moments.
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon160.jpg
The bus stops were crazy crowded and since the CBR is so big there were probably about three or four bus loads ahead of us on line. We decided to find a taxi stand and just spend the twenty bucks. It would be saving us probably about two hours and we were so tired. On our way over to the taxi stand one of the CM's told us to go to the yellow cabs and not talk to the other guys waiting there becuase they were going to rip us off. So we ended up going the wrong way to the taxi stand and had to walk through a hord of these (paparatzi, which is what steve nicknamed them all vacation because they just sat there and heckled you and screamed at you to get in there cab) One of the guys caught steve and kept telling him he worked for the same company as the yellow cabs and that he would bring us back for ten dollars, no hidden fees. So I was just trying to keep walking, but steve was like "Ten dollars?, Thats it?" and the guy was like yeah yeah. So then the guy was like just go over there andI will come get you and then he goes, pretend you arent coming with me because this guy coming over here will get me in trouble if he knows I took you. I will get arrested.:scared1: We like..."Yeah, forget it dude!" Thank goodness though...I was trying to get away from him and Steve kept talking. They guy creepedme out and Steve should have known he woudl rip us off...I mean come on...we are New Yorkers!!! We deal with this stuff all the time.
We ended up getting in a good ol' yellow cab, paying our 20 dollars to a really cool jamaican guy who drove us back and finallly getting to our room for the night. When we got back we found a balloon with a card attached to it. It was a card from Minnie and MIckey congratulating us and the pictures was signed. Too cute.

http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/moonlitdreams82/DisneyHoneymoon165.jpg
We kicked off our shoes, took a shower, got changed into comfy clothes and plopped onto our bed to watch some t.v. and eat our school bread. It felt soooo good to relax and the school bread was delicious! It is filled with cream so we kept saying mmmmmmm Frugenlugen. It doesn't seem funny I guess, but if you were in the situation at the bakery I guess you would find it hillarious as well. That thing was huge! We only ate half of it between the two of it and put half inthe fridge for another night. I think we just about passed out as soon as our heads hit the pillow.
Up next....plunging to the ground in a wreckless elevator and speeding off to see aerosmith

Okay guys....I hope your still with me. I told you that was a long day. It was a great day though. I think it's the one that I remember most.
This may be my last update until Sunday night or Monday. For the next couple days I may be taking my cousin to doctors appointments. He got diagnosed with Cellulitus in his leg. This is something that can be very dangerous if it doesn't get treated correctly. It can go into his bloodstream and do a serious number on him. He got diagnosed at a hospital emergency room though and it is the same emergency room that fudged up with Steve. Steve got really sick with bronchitus and the flu and had a dangerously high fever, so we went over to the same emergency room my cousin went to. They told Steve that he had swollen lymphnodes and that it was worrysome because it might be cancer. They sent him to a ton of doctors and racked up our bills when they knew we didnt' have medical insurance to get all thes tests done. Come to find out from a doctor we booked privately that lymphnodes swell when you have the flu and it takes two to three weeks for them to go back to normal...so Steve was fine!!!!!!!! Imagine how pissed we were. Anyway...my mom told John (my cousin) that is the hospital that misdiagnosed Steve and that he should get a second opinion. Since he can't really walk, let alone drive and I am the only one that is off in the summer beside my grandmother (who, god bless her sould can not drive anymore even though she thinks she can) I am going to have to take him to the doctors apointments. Please keep him in your prayers.
Also, we are leaving Friday morning to go camping with some friends until Sunday morning and then heading fromthe campsite to Saratoga for the day and Monday we are moving my little sister into her new placein Brooklyn. And sometime between the doctors appointments and the getting the coolers cleaned and the apartment cleaned we have to find time to drive to Connecticut to borrow some camping supplies from Steves mother and stepfather and visit with them to shwo them pictures and video from vacation.
So yes....I am a pretty busy girl for the next many days, but I will try my hardest to get some sort of an update to you guys before then, even if it's only a partial day.

Yeah, he can be pretty silly. Thanks for the well wishes for my cousin. I have never been camping so it will be an experience for me. I am pretty prissy so we will see. I think I will really enjoy it though. My husband is a real outdoorsmen so I am not nervous because I know he knows what he is doing and I will be with my husband and one of my best friends and her boyfriend (who is now a good friend of ours), so I am pretty excited about it.
I'll let you know how it went when I get back (maybe a little off topic mini-TR)

We went to the WL for dinner at the WC when I was a little younger and we had a blast. While we were waiting for our table they still had a lot of goings on and stuff. I think we were just seated to late. Thats' okay though, next time I know to make an earlier reservation.
Very enjoyable trip report.

Hey guys. I just wanted to check in and let you all know that I did not drop off the face of the planet. I got back from camping and immediately started back at school. My kids this year are the lowest functioning, nonverbal and behavior problematic kids that we have in the autistic unit. They are not used to a new classroom and a new routine yet. Amoung the work it has been taking me during the day and the work that goes into setting up a classroom for the new school year I have been exhausted. Not to mention I have also had other things at home that needed to get taken care of after work...sooooooo.....I promise an update this weekend. I am even going to try and get the 3rd, 4th and maybe even fifth days all done to make up for my lack of update. Once again..soooo sorry. I have just been crazy busy getting into the swing of the new school year with my new kids.
