I would like to go to the boardwlk to the ESPN club after Illuminations. I think I could walk across. Is this very far? How would I get back to PO-FQ? Would I need to take different busses? I will have a car. Would it be better to drive to boardwalk, walk over to Epcot and then back to boardwalk. If I drive to boardwalk is there a parking lot close. Or would it just be better to bus to epcot, walk to boardwalk and bus back to port frq? thanks

You can walk over to BoardWalk from Epcot. You exit from the International Gateway (near United Kingdom) and walk takes less than 10 minutes leisurely pace (there is also a boat but that actually takes longer). As to parking, BoardWalk has two lots. The main lot has a guard gate and you cannot enter unless you are actually going to BW rather than Epcot although they tend to be a little more relaxed on that if you don't show up until evening as they assume you will be going to the BW then for evening events. The overflow lot across the street from the main lot is open to anyone. Thus, if you are going to Illuminations and then to ESPN, you might want to try that. Getting back to PO by bus is a pain in the butt. If MGM is still open, best is to take boat or walk over to MGM and catch your bus there. If it is not, then you will need to take bus to DD and then catch PO bus there. Other option if you don't take car is to get a cab from BW back to PO; lots of cabs are available there at night.

Thanks, I think we will drive and use excess lot if we have to. It sounds like that will be better than trying to get the bus back. thanks corvair

I believe you can alos valet park for $6. Come in real handy when you are tired at the end of a long day and NOT have to walk to the lot for your car!

A taxi to PO will run <$15.. Quick too!

I would absolutely drive to Boardwalk and park there in the 'regular' lot. You'll avoid the 'Epcot Exodus' and getting from resort to resort on a Disney bus is very slow, involving transfers. It could take hours. We did this two years ago and had an uneventful trip back. We solved this problem by booking Dolphin this Nov.

You didnt say how you were getting to Epcot for Illuminations. If you drive to Boardwalk for a snack or late breakfast (on the Boardwalk), then it is an easy walk over to Epcot for a day at the park, and another easy walk back to ESPN, and a shorter walk still to get back to your car.

Have fun at the ESPN club...
