Today I got a reservation confirmation for something I didn't book. It is addressed to me, but is set up like I made a reservation for someone else to stay one night at the Paradise Pier in Ca. It even has all their information. Has this ever happened to anyone else? I can't call till tomorrow. It doesn't show up online though. Very weird.

I am. I assume that they will just fix it. I don't understand how it happened though, because our names aren't even close to one another. It scares me to think that DVC is not checking the information that they should be.
Check online to see if the points were taken from your account. I've had this happen once and it was a simple mistake but I do know if it happening as an identity theft issue as well.

The points are still there, so I assume it was just some type of error. I will see tomorrow. Thanks

Maybe it's not the name but the membership number that is close (off by a digit or transposed digits)?

This exact thing didn't happen, but something along the same lines did. I once called MS about something and they said well you have X points left. I said no I have Y points left, and they said that was before you made the reservation for MR soandso. But I didn't make a reservation for Mr. soandso ... we went on like this for a few minutes. Ultimately it was fixed in a day, and I've had my account password protected ever since and nothing has happened since.
MS never admitted that they did something wrong or that they let someone access my account, but they never explained how it happened. It was weird.

I talked with them this morning. They said they have no record of it. I asked what was going to happen to her reservation and they said not to worry about it. That it wasn't my issue and if there was an error then they would deal with it. He was kind of short with me and basically said to not worry about it. Oh well, it is done now. Thanks.

I found out reservations were made and cancelled for the Grand Floridian but deducted from my account. The points were put into holding. It's really important to keep checking your account for problems and getting them fixed.
