To conquer the entire world on our thrones (ie, segways) at Epcot 9/26. Has anyone done this? Any advice? May I trade by helmet for a tiara? Please advise, thanks!

I'm thinking the tiara could be an issue in an accidental crash! :confused3

We did this during our February trip and it was the best part of the entire week. I'm taking my niece and nephew next year and plan on booking the tour for all of us.
You will love it!

I have not done it in Epcot. But I toured Burgos (Spain) on one. I was one of the highlights of our trip. So I say GO FOR IT!!

I've done it three times! ...and I'll probably do it again on my next trip! It's well worth it and a whole lot of fun! Enjoy!

We did it in April and the Segway tour was awesome. It was cool to see the cast members creating the magic in WS before the guests arrived. What a blast.

As for the tiara - not so much. Everyone was looking at us when we were on the segways anyway, so the sunglasses and helmets gave us a level of mysterious anonymity...

We just completed our second Segway tour at DLR this past Sunday and we're hoping that we can get in the one at Fort Wilderness this coming weekend. We've had a blast on them!

As far as I know, they don't let you rent one and go off on your own anywhere in WDW, but they do offer a couple of different "tour" options, including one at Epcot called "Around the World at Epcot" and one at Fort Wilderness. Here's the link to the Tour info page: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/tours.htm

The "Around the World at Epcot" tour includes an hour of instruction indoors, followed by an hour touring World Showcase. The tours are all in the morning, before World Showcase is open to the public. Everything I've read says that these tours are popular and can book up early, since there is a limit to the number of people in each group. I booked my tours for the end of October this weekend and was able to get the day I wanted, but some of the time slots were full so my choices were limited.

I have heard that there is also somewhere that you can try a Segway (without paying for tour) somewhere in Epcot, but I'm not sure where. I'm guessing Innoventions.

We were thinking of trying this next time. It looks like a lot of fun! Do you have to be coordinated to drive them? ;)

My wife and I did the Segway tour in May and really enjoyed it. Take a look at this thread. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1815854

We liked it so much we're giving our daughter and her partner the tour during our trip in January.
