My Points question

I have seen many threads about various web sites where you collect points and cash in for cash or gift cards, but not one about My Points. Is there anyone out there who uses this web site and have you ever cashed in for a card? I almost have enough points for the card I want and am wondering how long the processing takes.

I usually have my cards within 7-14 days but this last time it has been a bit of time. I ordered on 7/19 and it was not shipped until 8/20. This is the only time that this has happened so I think the GC may have been on back order.

I've been a member of MyPoints for years now. I've gotten many gift cards. The last one I requested took about 4 weeks for me to get it. Other times, I've gotten them in about 2 weeks.

I love My Points!!!!!! I've got a ton of points saved, I need to cash them in. :) I've used them for years and it usually takes 7-14 days to get the cards in the mail. :)

Yes, the ones I have received are just the same as the ones you buy in stores. Mine took about 3 1/2 weeks to get here.

Yep, they're regular gift cards. I, too, have been with them for years. I save my points up until the end of Oct or so and do just what you plan on...get gift cards that I can give as gifts and/or get them for stores that I can buy gifts from.

Yes, I love mypoints!! I have 2 email addresses and I have an account with each one. These make awesome Christmas gifts!! I try and save up the year and usually receive about $75-$100 in G.C.s.

You can get mypoints points through BzzAgent as well. I just received a gift card for Rainforest Cafe that I will be saving for my Dec. trip.

I love Mypoints! I've gotten a ton of gift cards through them (mostly because of the new BzzAgent connection).

I'm another mypoints lover. . .this summer's card took about 5 weeks to come (chili's) but usually it's about a week.

No Disney $$ from Mypoints but there are ways to take some of the $$ you'd usually spend and get gift cards to lower that spending. Creations rewards has Disney $$. I wish I knew what I wanted from Mypoints, let's just say I don't do well when there isn't a direct Disney cash out available--then it is a no brainer, but I just don't know!:rotfl:

I was wondering how long a GC would take to arrive.
I joined My points in Feb. and just had enough points for a $25 GC yesterday. I ordered it and was hoping it would arrive in 3 weeks but after reading some of the replies, not sure if that will be the case.

I've been using MyPoints for years. Most times the GCs come within 2 weeks, sometimes a little more and sometimes a little less. I do most of my Christmas shopping online and go through the MyPoints site to get even more points than just from reading emails. This year I'll be giving the GCs as gifts unless DH finds a new job before October 1.

I've also usually gotten my gift cards in two weeks or so. I usually cash out for Outback restaurant cards - we stay at a hotel in Manchester NH on the night before we fly to Disney and it is a tradition to eat at the Outback since we don't have on locally. I love My Points - its like free money.

Have you thought about using the Target or Walmart gcs for groceries and save what you would have spent on them for Disney?:earboy2:

My husband (and me by extension) have a mypoints account. We've also got the Mypoints visa through providian. We buy everything with the visa, and the points pile up quickly. At the end of the month, I pay off the balance.

Do the mypoints GC expire? If so how long is it typically? I would like to order some for our upcoming trip to disney but I do not want them to expire before we go.

If you click through on the MyPoints Reward Visa link on the site, it says it's still a Providian Card (I just clicked to check, and it brought me to www.providiancard.something)

Thank you for all the feedback. I appreciate the responses. We drive to Disney and stop overnight. I was planning to get a GC for the restaurant we will eat at for dinner and was wondering how far ahead I needed to request it. Thanks again.

I have cashed out at MyPoints many times. They used to arrive pretty quickly. But I redeemed points on Aug 3 for a Kohl's gift card and it still hasn't arrived. (Also redeemed Freeride tokens for a Walmart card on the same day, and that hasn't come yet either. :(

I just got my first gc from MyPoints. It took 2 and 1/2 weeks to arrive. At least a couple sites deliver as promised.
