Ok, this is so not fair! Am I the only one who is unfortunate to live in Colorado where there is no Southwest airlines. I am reading people getting fares for 98.00 on way!!! You can never get anything cheap out of this state. Please if there is anyone out there in Colorado that has gone to WDW & was able to fly there cheap let me know how. We have always gone to Disneyland in the past but are planning to go to WDW for the first time soon, but everytime I try to look for airfare the cheapest I can find for my whole family (there will be five of us) is 1300.00!!!! In the meantime I am trying to get my DH to move to Celebration so we won't have this problem in the future. Does anybody out there work for Disney or live in Celebration? I need to know how to work for them. I don't get enough Disney out here. Thanks

Well cristen,

you are not the only one having problems find decent airfare. Flying anythwere out of the midwest is not cheap. We especially have problems here at Msp airport with Northwest hogging the only direct flight to MCO. Charging primo prices for it, too.

You might post your airfare on the transportation board to get more answers.

I don't know anything about celebration, other than it's quite expensive to live there.$300 for the direct flight is about hwat you pay from Msp (or more).

I posted I think on Thursday that Travelocity is offering airfares that BEAT Southwest. We cancelled our southwest and went with American Airlines that cost us from SEATTLE to MCO 85.00 each way!!! Check them out and you might find a good deal!

As a Canadian we don't have very many options for cheap flights either, no Southwest for sure! Some of us closer to the border can fly out of the U.S. Some Canadians that live too far to drive crunch the numbers and stay at a hotel near the airport. Is this an option for you?

When I lived in Clearwater, FL I had several friends who worked for Disney in the "corp." atmosphere - many of them RAN (did not walk) as soon as they found other jobs. Hopefully the mindset of "the power suits" has changed by now but somehow I doubt it. I also work with someone whose brother works for Disney and lives in Celebration. His condo & the town are beautiful, but he has expressed disappointment about how transient (sp) the area is, I think it's like that in a lot of areas in Florida, so he & his wife are just about "Disney'd-out" after 5+ yrs. & are looking to get out. He enjoys working for Disney, but is also ready for a change. Just remember there's always "bad" with the "good" - good luck finding an affordable flight for you & your family.
