Apologies if this is a stupid question, but I'm going to need to use some electronical thingies when I'm at Disney - laptop, mobile phone charger, battery charger for my camcorder, etc.

Do I need a transformer and a plug adapter for these? Or just the adapter? Or something completely different?

Many thanks!

A standard 2 pin US apadptor will work fine.

Remember that the US voltage is 110/120 AC as oppposed to our 220 so it may take a little longer to charge your gadgets !

Most portable electrical items such as laptop, camcorder and mobile phone are multi voltage, but as has been said they need to show 100v - 230v or simialr range on the plug. Travel hairdryers often ahve a little switch to go between the two voltages on them. Other than that a two flat pin plug adaptor will be fine.

We've used travel adaptors before to enable us to charge up the laptop, camcorder and mobile phones. No probs with laptop or camcorder.

It can be slow and in our experience not all mobile phones like the change in current :confused3 (messed up the battery requiring anew one when we got home)
