Do you know of a good website for booking the hilton clearwater beach resort. We found a great price on Florida Travel and Tourist Bureau. As we have never booked over the internet before, we feel a bit unsure. Also when it says taxes and surcharges are not included does it make a very big difference to the total? Thanks Beady.

....... not sure if you'd get a good rate directly but if you go to their own web-page, a pop-up window appears and it says you can register to receive information on their special deals, take a look -

Hi

I recently used this site when booking a hotel in Clearwater, you search on line and get a quote and then pay over the phone. They were very efficient and had great prices (cheaper than all the internet sites I checked for our hotel which was the Belleview Biltmore) and the prices were in sterling and included all taxes etc.

Ex taxes means ex Florida Resort tax which is 4-5% and normally a resort surcharge for use of amenities which can be around $12 a day.

Online Florida - Meridien Travel (http://www.onlineflorida.co.uk/main.asp?action=accom)

Just click on the Gulf coast area of the map and fill in the details. Or just give them a ring.

Hope this helps.
