Bob you did just fine, but add the last thread just like the ones you can see on what you copied. Your the only one who can do it since you started it.
Then we're up and running again #6 needs to get done in less time than #5. and with double the banana count.
That is my challenge to all bananaheads:thumbsup2

Ok gang I am off to walk the pups, then I'll be back, actually it will probably be an hour or so, keep up all the great posting and bananas, we don't want to run short at the end again.
I wan't 35,000  by the end of #6 and we need to do it in 25 days to beat the last thread.
whose game for that challenge??

Here is my joke for today and to start off the new thread:thumbsup2
A cabbie picks up a nun. She gets into the cab, and the cab driver won't stop staring at her. She asks him why is he staring and he replies, "I have a question to ask you but I don't want to offend you.
She answers, 'My dear son, you cannot offend me. When you're as old as I am and have been a nun a long as I have, you get a chance to see and hear just about everything. I'm sure that there's nothing you could say or ask that I would find offensive."
"Well, I've always had a fantasy to have a nun kiss me."
She responds, "Well, let's see what we can do about that: #1, you have to be single and #2 you must be Catholic."
The cab driver is very excited and says, "Yes, I am single and I'm Catholic too!"
The nun says "OK, pull into the next alley."
He does and the nun fulfills his fantasy. But when they get back on the road, the cab driver starts crying. "My dear child, said the nun, why are you crying?"
"Forgive me sister, but I have sinned. I lied, I must confess, I'm married and I'm Jewish."
The nun says, "That's OK, my name is Kevin and I'm on my way to a Halloween party."

HOW DO YOU DECIDE WHOM TO MARRY?
You got to find somebody who likes the same stuff. Like, if you
like sports, she should like it that you like sports, and she
should keep the chips and dip coming.
* Alan, age 10
No person really decides before they grow up who they're going to
marry. God decides it all way before, and you get to find out
later who you're stuck with.
* Kirsten, age 10
WHAT IS THE RIGHT AGE TO GET MARRIED?
Twenty-three is the best age because you know the person FOREVER
by then.
* Camille, age 10
HOW CAN A STRANGER TELL IF TWO PEOPLE ARE MARRIED?
You might have to guess, based on whether they seem to be yelling
at the same kids.
* Derrick, age 8
WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR MOM AND DAD HAVE IN COMMON?
Both don't want any more kids.
* Lori, age 8
WHAT DO MOST PEOPLE DO ON A DATE?
Dates are for having fun, and people should use them to get to
know each other. Even boys have something to say if you listen
long enough.
* Lynnette, age 8
On the first date, they just tell each other lies, and that
usually gets them interested enough to go for a second date.
* Martin, age 10
WHEN IS IT OKAY TO KISS SOMEONE?
When they're rich.
* Pam, age 7
The law says you have to be eighteen, so I wouldn't want to mess
with that.
* Curt, age 9
The rule goes like this: If you kiss someone, then you should
marry them and have kids with them. It's the right thing to do.
* Howard, age 8
WHAT WOULD YOU DO ON A FIRST DATE THAT WAS TURNING SOUR?
I'd run home and play dead. The next day I would call all the
newspapers and make sure they wrote about me in all the dead
columns.
* Craig, age 9

One last joke for today
Two college students, Frank and Matt, are riding on a New York City subway when a beggar approaches them asking for spare change.
Frank adamantly rejects the man in disgust.
Matt, on the other hand, whips out his wallet, pulls out a couples of dollar bills and gladly hands them over to the beggar with a smile.
The beggar thanks him kindly and then continues on to the other passengers. Frank is outraged by his friend's act of generosity.
"What on earth did you do that for?" shouts Frank. "You know he's only going to use it on drugs or booze!!!"
Matt replies, "What...and we weren't?"

If so we always try to post lots and lots of them, since we are bananaheads. I count them and at our meet we see how many we have posted since the thread started.
We always try to get more than the year before.
It helps to kill time. sometimes when things are slow, someone will find a new one to post we havnt seen before or just a whole page of cool looking ones, or just our normal:banana: we have here.
it is a nanahead tradition .
If you want to help, just post bananas everytime you post.
i fyou dont like our  here, you can google
free banana icons and youw lwil find lots of them.
Perhaps someone could post an actual site for you to down load from,
Hope that answers your question,
Kathy

I have questions. What the heck is going on with the bananas? Please fill me in . If I can help let me know how.
What are the Twilight series books. I keep hearing about them everywhere but have no idea about them. I'm desperate for a new author to read.
Twilight series is written by Stephenie Meyer-it is in the young adult section-although it isn't hard to find in a book store because this latest book is the number one best seller. Twilight is the first book of the series.

[QUOTE=mom x4,grandma x4;27028203]Here is my joke for today and to start off the new thread:thumbsup2

DEAR ABBY ADMITTED SHE WAS AT A LOSS ...
TO ANSWER THE FOLLOWING!
Dear Abby,
A couple of women moved in across the hall from me. One is a
middle-aged gym teacher and the other is a social worker in her
mid twenties. These two women go everywhere together and I've
never seen a man go into or leave apartment. Do you think they
could be Lebanese?
Dear Abby,
What can I do about all the Sex, Nudity, Fowl Language and
Violence On My VCR?
Dear Abby,
I have a man I can't trust. He cheats so much, I'm not even
sure the baby I'm carrying is his.
Dear Abby,
I am a twenty-three year old liberated woman who has been on the
pill for two years. It's getting expensive and I think my
boyfriend should share half the cost, but I don't know him well
enough to discuss money with him.
Dear Abby,
I've suspected that my husband has been fooling around, and when
confronted with the evidence, he denied everything and said it
would never happen again.
Dear Abby,
Our son writes that he is taking Judo. Why would a boy who was
raised in a good Christian home turn against his own?
Dear Abby,
I joined the Navy to see the world. I've seen it. Now how do I
get out?
Dear Abby,
My forty year old son has been paying a psychiatrist $50.00 an
hour every week for two and a half years. He must be crazy.
Dear Abby,
I was married to Bill for three months and I didn't know he
drank until one night he came home sober.
Dear Abby,
My mother is mean and short tempered I think she is going
through mental pause.
Dear Abby,
You told some woman whose husband had lost all interest in sex
to send him to a doctor. Well, my husband lost all interest in
sex and he is a doctor. Now what do I do?
Remember these people can vote, which probably explains the
current situation in Washington , DC.

Just in case you need a laugh:
Remember it takes a college degree to fly a plane, but only a high school diploma to fix one. After every flight, UPS pilots fill out a form, called a 'gripe sheet,' which tells mechanics about problems with the aircraft. The mechanics correct the problems, document their repairs on the form, and then pilots review the gripe sheets before the next flight.
Never let it be said that ground crews, albeit they may lack a formal higher education, have ever lacked a sense of humor. Here are some actual maintenance complaints submitted by UPS ' pilots (marked with a P) and the solutions recorded (marked with an S) by maintenance engineers.
By the way, UPS is the only major airline that has never, ever, had an accident.
P: Left inside main tire almost needs replacement.
S: Almost replaced left inside main tire.
*
P: Test flight OK, except auto-land very rough.
S: Probably because auto-land is not installed on this aircraft.
*
P: Something loose in cockpit
S: Something tightened in cockpit
*
P: Dead bugs on windshield.
S: Live bugs on back-order.
*
P: Autopilot in altitude-hold mode has a 200 ft. per min. descent.
S: Cannot reproduce problem on ground.
*
P: Evidence of leak on right main landing gear.
S: Evidence removed.
*
P: DME volume unbelievably loud.
S: DME volume set to more believable level.
*
P: Friction locks cause throttle levers to stick.
S: That's what friction locks are for.
*
P: IFF inoperative in OFF mode.
S: IFF IS inoperative in OFF mode.
*
P: Suspected crack in windshield.
S: Suspect you're right.
*
P: Number 3 engine missing.
S: Engine found on right wing after brief search.
*
PS: Aircraft acting funny
S: Aircraft warned to straighten up, fly right and be serious.
*
P: Target radar hums.
S: Reprogrammed target radar with lyrics.
*
P: Mouse in cockpit.
S: Cat installed.
*
And the best one for last

something with a hammer.
S: Took hammer away from midget.

Stella awards are here!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's time again for the annual
'Stella Awards'! For those unfamiliar with these awards, they are
named after 81-year-old Stella Liebeck who spilled hot coffee on
herself and successfully sued the McDonald's in New Mexico where
she purchased the coffee. You remember, she took the lid off the
coffee and put it between her knees while she was driving. Who would
ever think one could get burned doing that, right?
That's right; these are awards for the most outlandish lawsuits and
verdicts in the U.S. You know, the kinds of cases that make you scratch
your head. So keep your head scratcher handy.
Here are the Stella's for the past year:
7TH PLACE:
Kathleen Robertson of Austin, Texas was awarded $80,000 by a jury of
her peers after breaking her ankle tripping over a toddler who was
running inside a furniture store. The store owners were understandably
surprised by the verdict, considering the running toddler was her own
son.
6TH PLACE:
Carl Truman, 19, of Los Angeles, California won $74,000 plus medical
expenses when his neighbor ran over his hand with a Honda Accord.
Truman apparently didn't notice there was someone at the wheel of the car when
he was trying to steal his neighbor's hub caps.
Go ahead, grab your head scratcher.
5TH PLACE:
Terrence Dickson, of Bristol, Pennsylvania, was leaving a house he had
just burglarized by way of the garage. Unfortunately for Dickson,
the automatic garage door opener malfunctioned and he could not get the
garage door to open. Worse, he couldn't reenter the house because
the door connecting the garage to the house locked when Dickson pulled
it shut. Forced to sit for eight, count 'em, EIGHT, days on a case of
Pepsi and a large bag of dry dog food, he sued the homeowner's
insurance company claiming undue mental Anguish. Amazingly, the jury said the
insurance company must pay Dickson $500,000 for his anguish. We
should all have this kind of anguish.
Keep scratching. There are more...
4TH PLACE:
Jerry Williams, of Little Rock, Arkansas, garnered 4th Place in the
Stella's when he was awarded $14,500 plus medical expenses after being
bitten on the butt by his next door neighbor's beagle - even though the
beagle was on a chain in its owner's fenced yard. Williams did not
get as much as he asked for because the jury believed the beagle might
have been provoked at the time of the butt bite because Williams had
climbed over the fence into the yard and repeatedly shot the dog with a
pellet gun.
Grrrrr ... Scratch, scratch.
3RD PLACE:
Third place goes to Amber Carson of Lancaster, Pennsylvania because a
jury ordered a Philadelphia restaurant to pay her $113, 500 after she
slipped on a spilled soft drink and broke her tailbone. The reason
the soft drink was on the floor: Ms. Carson had thrown it at her
boyfriend 30 seconds earlier during an argument. What ever happened to people
being responsible for their own actions?
Scratch, scratch, scratch. Hang in there; there are only two
more Stellas to go...
2ND PLACE:
Kara Walton, of Claymont, Delaware sued the owner of a night club in a
nearby city because she fell from the bathroom window to the floor,
knocking out her two front teeth. Even though Ms. Walton was trying
to sneak through the ladies room window to avoid paying the $3.50 cover
charge, the jury said the night club had to pay her $12,000....oh,
yeah, plus dental expenses. Go figure.
1ST PLACE:
(May I have a fanfare please?)
This year's runaway First Place Stella Award winner was
Mrs. Merv Grazinski, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, who purchased a new
32-foot Winnebago motor home. On her first trip home from an OU
football game, having driven onto the freeway, she set the cruise control
at 70 mph and calmly left the driver's seat to go to the back of the
Winnebago to make herself a sandwich. Not surprisingly, the motor
home left the freeway, crashed and over turned. Also not
surprisingly, Mrs. Grazinski sued Winnebago for not putting in the
owner's manual that she couldn't actually leave the driver's seat while the
cruise control was set. The Oklahoma jury awarded her, are you sitting
down, $1,750,000 PLUS a new motor home. Winnebago actually changed
their manuals as a result of this suit, just in case Mrs. Grazinski has
any relatives who might also buy a motor home.
Are we stupid...????

My personal favorite:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
Three women, two younger and one senior citizen were sitting naked in a sauna.
Suddenly there was a beeping sound. The young woman pressed her forearm and the beep stopped. The others looked at her questioningly. "That was my pager",she said. "I have a microchip under the skin of my arm".
A few minutes later, a phone rang. The second young woman lifted her palm to her ear. When she finished, she explained, "That was my cell phone. I have a microchip in my hand".
The older woman felt very low-tech. Not to be out done, she decided she had to do something just as impressive. She stepped out the sauna and went to the bathroom. She returned with a piece of toilet paper hanging from her rear end. The others raised their eyebrows and stared at her. The older woman finally smiled and said, "Well, will you look at that---I'M GETTING A FAX"!!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PECANS IN THE CEMETERY
On the outskirts of a small town, there was a big old pecan tree just
inside the cemetery fence. One day, two boys filled up a bucketful of
nuts and sat down by the tree, out of sight, and began dividing the
nuts.
"One for you, one for me. One for you, one for me," said one boy.
Several pecans dropped and rolled down toward the fence.
Another boy came riding along the road on his bicycle. As he passed, he
thought he heard voices from inside the cemetery. He slowed down to
investigate. Sure enough, he heard, "One for you, one for me. One for
you, one for me."
He just knew what it was. He jumped back on his bike and rode off.
Just around the bend, he met an old man with a cane, hobbling along.
"Come here quick," said the boy. "You won't believe what I heard!

Morning Nanas:banana:   Thanks for the prayers and pixiedust: for my FIL. We still are not sure what is going on.:confused3 They are now saying they don't think it was a heart attack. He is having a stress stest today. Hopefully we will know more later. Madison is sick today. She has a 101 fever. I am taking her to the Dr. She has been fighting this on and off for 2 weeks now. I thought it might be allergies, but now I am thinking sinus infection.
Kathy-Thanks for the laughs:lmao:
Terri-How is your dad today?

Hey all.
We are wrapping up our vacation over the next 2 days. We were planning to head to Disneyland today but Emily has had a bug the last couple of days. We took her to urgicare yesterday and she got antibiotics and her fever is down today but don't think she's ready for a trip to see the Mouse. So we'll just hit the beach for a bit today and then go to Disney tomorrow to wrap up our trip in a good way. Hope the crowds are not like they were before the cruise - where it was a weekend and packed to the gills.
Hope everyone is having a great day!

I cant wait for the boys to go to school Monday. I have so many things to work on for the cruise and cant do it with them here.
I remember booking it in Jan and thinking how long we had to wait. All of Spring, the whole Summer, all the holidays. Now summer ends this week for us and I'm getting ready to go through my fall decorations to see what I wasn't to do this year . Then its time to go. :cool1: :cool1:

She did call and say she got bumped to first class on the plane. She made them bring her the head of a pig and made the flight attendant play the fiddle for her.
Ok,....getting those dirty looks....back to work for me.

Satan and the Lord are down at the cemetery dividing up the souls."
The man said, "Beat it kid. Can't you see it's hard for me to walk?"
When the boy insisted though, the man hobbled slowly to the cemetery.
Standing by the fence, they heard, "One for you, one for me. One for

Hey Greg
We are at the St. Regis Monarch Bay in Dana Point (orange county). It's really one of the nicest places I have ever seen in the continental US and we have stayed at Ritz Carlton's and Four Seasons in many locales. We were always partial to the Ritz in Naples, FL but it has NOTHING on this place. The only downside is that it really does attract what I consider the wrong crowd - even though it is very kid friendly and there are tons of kids here, there are still a LOT of snotty, snooty folks who look down on those of us with kids. Just makes me want to let ours loose on them for a while. :rotfl:

The only downside is that it really does attract what I consider the wrong crowd - even though it is very kid friendly and there are tons of kids here, there are still a LOT of snotty, snooty folks who look down on those of us with kids. Just makes me want to let ours loose on them for a while. :rotfl:

We are at the St. Regis Monarch Bay in Dana Point (orange county). It's really one of the nicest places I have ever seen in the continental US and we have stayed at Ritz Carlton's and Four Seasons in many locales. Kathy's gone for the weekend, Christine. But I can you tell you that it's perfect! We went to the IFF every year for like 10 years. Been to the Halloween party once. (Only because it was extra money, when we already had annuals.) Just watch for the long weekend towards the end of October when alot of schools have teacher conferences and such. If you can, I'd do more towards the beginning of November. Slow, especially because Thanksgiving is coming up. We usually arrived 10/30 and stayed for a week + after that. Sorry, I get long winded when it comes to WDW!

Back from Disneyland. We had a pretty good time. Emily was a trooper. I think she actually started turning the corner to health while we were there. But it was PACKED just like Christine thought it might be.
After spending three days there b4 the cruise and then another day today, I have come to the conclusion that DL just can't hold a candle to WDW on so many levels. Lots of little things like the CMs attitude, the way they handle crowd control -- tonight we waited through three monorails to take it from tomorrowland to downtown disney - roughly the distance between the Poly and Contemporary. the one thing we DO really like is the closeness of downtown disney to the 2 parks and being able to walk from hotels like the GCH to either park. Not going to do a full trip report but will post some thoughts about our trip, including the cruise - more or less highlights and not-so-highlights.
Wendy- so glad to get your text that the interview went well!
Shell - glad you are home safe and sound.
Bob- hope you are doing well!
Terri - lots of prayers and pixie dust for your daddy.
Cheri, Christine, Kathy, Mutt, Greg and everyone else: hi!
Back home tomorrow - but it's time. We are way overdue to get home and get back to work, to back to school planning and everything else - good and bad- awaiting us. Gotta make some excursion decisions for Nov. and some dining decisions for Dec.
