TOT 2008-Who's going??

I did a search and couldn't find a TOT 2008 thread, so I thought I would start one. Just curious to see who is going and all that!

I made our reservations at CSR for that weekend! Up until the other day (after I made my ressies) I had no idea that CSR was where you pick up your packets!

Are there any GTG planned for the weekend?

I will be there with my DH and DD13, DS7 staying at CBR. I am running with my SIL and BIL who will be bringing their DD9 and DS7 (the boys are 2 days apart in B-days) staying at BWV.

Scott and I will be there, staying at BWV's, arriving the 24th, leaving Nov.1. This is Scott's birthday trip to WDW! Not to mention that we really like the Food and Wine Festival!

My DH and I will be there- staying at SSR the week before, still looking for a room for Fri and Sat night (cost too many DVC points for the weekend stay).

Just booked CSR for Friday & Saturday nights for $117 per night going through the WDW Groups line (listed on the ToT 13k site). Better than the AP rate. I'm glad I waited to book since packet pickup was moved to CSR. Made that an easy decision.

BrianD Did that rate include tax? I booked an AP rate of like 120ish. When I booked the AP rate, I was clueless about the fact that they had special rates for this race!

DH and I will be there. I'm doing event and we are staying at BW. We come in from cruise Saturday and have to get packet then get to the event. We won't be in the "World" too long, but it will be a nice ending to a great week.

There are preliminary plans to meet somewhere at MK during MNSSHP on the 24th. Maybe Cosmic Rays.

With tax it is $131.63 per night, but I was getting quoted $145.13 (includes tax) per night for the AP rate at CSR. The AP rates seem to be higher on Friday & Saturday nights than on the weekdays, so the group rate is about $14 cheaper at least at CSR.

I'll be staying at Caribbean Beach for 2 nights. This will be my first TOT race so I'm looking forward to it. :)

I'll be there! DSIL Steve, DD Erin, and DS Craig are doing the ToT with me. We are staying at Pop and will be at MNSSHP Friday night.

Everyone remember that the cut id only 16 min pace. They say that still on the website. You will be picked up and no medal. So watch out for the sweeps since they aren't giving you 2 1/2 hrs like last year.

I am trying to avoid doing real work at all costs so I made up a list of everyone going and resort ressies and added it to the original post. Let me know if I have messed anyone's name up since I am still kinda new around here.

Robert Thanks for the reminder about the pace! I have some lofty pace goals for myself for this race, I am hoping to be way ahead of the sweepers!

Brian Thanks for the rate info, I am going to try and book at that rate. Any money I can save on the room can be used for fun stuff! (Beer at EPCOT??)

Ok, So I am finally officially registering for the race. Tried to do it last week before the price went up, but active.com was all screwy.

Question, is the shirt a tech shirt or regular T-shirt? Anyone know??? Will make a huge difference in what size shirt I get.

Last year they where just normal T-Shirts, suppose to glow in the dark but I don't think mine did...I could be wrong however.

Can't wait, can't wait. Miss all you guys and can't wait for a fun filled week hanging with my peeps.

AMY, BTW, after the race some people are heading over to BWV to the quiet pool for some more celebrating, you are more then welcome to join in!!!!

Looked a bit further on the disney site. It says it is a tech shirt. I'll be safe and order an XL. If it ends up being a regular t-shirt, I can just use it as a night shirt.
