how far ahead do you book Xmas cruise?

I'm considering booking the 7 day for Xmas 2003. Should we have booked by now for cat4? Should I wait til our June 22 cruise to get the castaway discount. What did you think of cruising for Xmas-I imagine the ship is full. Thanks for any help. Beth

Good Luck!! We tried to book Cat. 4 last month for Feb. vacation next year, none to be had. BIL has 3 kids, needed a room for 5, could not get one. We ended up havig to split our group up differently (put his teenager in with his mother--not optimal, but it worked). School vacation weeks fill fast, esp. for the larger rooms! I hope it works out for you.

We booked the Magic for Christmas 2003 in August 2001 (28 months between booking and cruising). We requested Cat 1 or Cat 2, they were all gone and we got one of the last two Cat 3's. We were really surprised at how quickly things were filling up. I would check now to see if the CAT 4's are even available. But, one CAT 4 cabin may just be waiting with your name on it!! Good luck!!
