I hadn't seen that one yet, but I have seen some of that lady's stuff in the past. Her pages go for crazy amounts of money! They aren't really my "style", but I do think they are beautiful works of art. Keep watching, I bet they go for a LOT of money! Oh yeah, she usually takes down the pictures after the auction ends.

I can't even imagine paying that kind of money for just 2 pages.
Although if you add up all of the goodies we use and how much each cost. It would probaly add up to more than $200.
YIKES!!!:scared1:
Ah, I think it is more fun to do it yourself. Even if they aren't 'works of art'.

all of your pages ARE works of art... they just aren't worth a few hundred bucks!

Gorgeous, but the price tag is astronomical!

They are gorgeous if you just want to journal, but I think that photos would actually detract for the page.

Isn't this the same lady whose easter 2 pg LO went for over $750?

I think so...
I just think it's amazing that she can get that much for a few hours work. $$ investment can't be that high...
hmmm..

LOL I showed them to my DH and he said they were ugly LOL! They are lovely but I wouldn't want to put them in a scrap album and detract from my photos. No matter what your skill, photos are still the most important part of scrapbooking, along with journaling.

No, this is a different person. The chick with the $750 Easter layout is meggiebear.
The faces on the little girls in this one are darling but they aren't worth that much money. Also, I've said it about meggiebear's stuff and it applies to this one as well. The layouts are gorgeous but they are so ornate that they would completely overshadow any photos you put on them.
Your scrapbook pages should be about your pictures, not about what is embellishing them. :confused3

Exactly!!! The pictures/memories are what we are preserving..not the EMBELLISHMENTS!!!

WOW! WOW! WOW! It is amazing what people will spend their money on... when my DH was in school - he sold paper piecings on ebay and I was amazed that some of them went for $30 - but $200+ for a two page spread - that is 11 Disney videos or a 19" inch Tinkerbell TV with DVD player or 60 - 12 x 12 pages printed at Costco -
On the other hand - I guess kudos to the seller!!

I agree, it's beautiful art work, but I think the price is nuts for a scrapbook layout. It would make a great framed picture. But still don't think I would pay that much, but then again I don't have that kind of talent. My pages are much simpler.

Okay - I had to go look and the winner already spent over $1000 with her and with other people too...
Would I rather have a beautiful two page layout -or WOW - I can think of a ton of other things that I can buy with that amount of money!!!

I could create my dream scrapbooking space for the price of that layout, supplies included!! Then I could sit down and create my own layouts...

Yep, her layouts go for a lot. I see threads like this all the time on different SB boards. I think she has a little following of fans that buy her stuff. I can't imagine spending so much for a scrapbook page, but when I think about it as art, I can see it a little more. I'm sure people pay way more than that for paintings and sculptures that I'd never look twice at. I would never buy such a thing, but darn it, I wish I could come up with something like that to make and sell for thousands on ebay!! :thumbsup2

Heck, that pays 1/2 for my whole families 7 day park hopper/resort package..
So, heck NO I'll save for the World instead..
I have bigger priorities to accomplish!
That is just crazy.. but kudos to those who have that kind of money to burn!! I'll keep creating my little ol' personal, heartfelt pages!

Yeah, I just can't believe it. The winner spends $$$$ on premade pages.
I'm sure that the seller has a following, but has anyone seen a 2 page lay out go for that much before? Even with someone with a following? I'm afraid to show my DH, he'll be like "So just what are you waiting for?" :lmao: gotta love him, he thinks my stuff is just as good or better...
And I wonder about the one that lost...that bid was crazy high too....

Those pages are not worth that much money. I wish I knew someone who that kind of disposable income for pages. I'm sure they're well done and some might think they're beautiful but they're not my taste at all. And, the ornateness will overshadow any pictures that you put on those pages.
