I am kind of late in starting this but I am very bored at work and thought what the heck...better late than never!

**let's start from the beginning**

Once upon a time...a long long time ago back in 2002 into 2003...there was a girl named Mindy who absolutly loved Disney. She decided to go on a trip with her college room mate Andrea and Andrea's boyfriend Timmothy. They arrived in "the World" 2 days before New Year's Eve. They enjoyed the parks and spending time in their hotel. Mindy's birthday was on January 3rd so they decided to go out to Pleasure Island to celebrate her 20th birthday. When arriving at the turn style to show ID's for admission Andrea realized that she had left her ID back at the room. The 3 rushed back to All Star Sports and retrieved her ID. Once they went through the clubs and picked a spot to stay and celebrate for a while they all started dancing. Mindy noticed a handsom prince on the dance floor looking over at her. She would glace back every now and then and would catch his eye. The prince eventually made his way over to Mindy, Andrea and Tim. Mindy, thinking to herself that he was probably there to try and talk to Andrea, she moved aside knowing full well that Tim would not be happy. Much to Mindy's surprise the young man was there to dance with her. They danced for a few songs and the young man left. Mindy was confused and didn't know why he had left. The young man returned shortly after and found Mindy again. Much to their surprise Motion played a slow song. This gave them time to talk a little bit. He asked her her name and she told him. He replied with "Oh Mindy is my favorite name" *augh...what a line* She found out that his name was Mike and he lived in Florida and he was 24. He would come to Pleasure Island often with his friends. With that being the last song of the night they exchanged numbers and they were to meet again before Mindy was to return home.

The next day Mindy woke up excited to spend the day by herself becuase Andrea and Tim were going to a Blizzard Beach for the day. She decided that if she was going to meet up with Mike again that she would need a new outfit for he could not see her in the same clothes. Mindy decided to hop on the bus and go to Down Town Disney where she bought a new tank top and mickey sandals. When coming back from DTD Mindy called Mike to see what he was doing. He said that he was lounging around the house but he would be going to Pleasure Island again that night and suggested they meet up.

Andrea and Tim got back from their day at Blizzard Beach early that afternoon. Mindy brought up the idea of going back to PI for the evening so that she could meet up with Mike again. Neither of them were up to it so Mindy went to PI by herself.*I know I know thinking back on it now...it was really stupid and I cant believe that my bestfriend would let me go and meet a guy I had spoken to at a club alone* She got ready and headed for the busses by herself. Their plan was to met at 11 where they had met the night before on the Motion dance floor. The only transportation Mindy had was the Disney bus system. The bus came about 15 minutes late and she realized that she was not going to be there on time. Mindy called Mike to let him know that she was on her way and that he shouldn't leave. Mike could not hear his phone with the loud music playing from Motion. Mindy arrived 20 minutes late and Mike was still there waiting for her. She was so releaved! That night they danced and talked all night. Mike offered to give Mindy a ride back to her hotel and she agreed. *again ladies,...very stupid* Once back safely at the hotel Mike so graciously walked Mindy into the lobby where they sat in the food court and talked until 4am. They decided that they would meet up the next day for their first official date. They decided to meet at outside the train station at the Magic Kingdom. Mindy walked back to the room and Andrea woke up. Mindy told her about her great night and everything that Mike had told her. Just before Mindy turned out the light to go to bed she looked over at Andrea and said "Some day I am going to marry him".

The next morning, January 5th, the alarm went off bright and early and Mindy jumpped into the shower...she had a big day today. After making sure that she looked "neat and pretty" she jumpped on the bus and headed to the Magic Kingdom to meet her newly found prince. Mindy walked through the gates and took a seat at the front of the entrance way on the right hand side of the garden that looks like Mickey Mouse. She sat there and waited for her prince to show. He was 15 mintues late! She could not get mad at him since she had left him waiting the night before. Mindy finally grew tired of waiting and gave Mike a call. He was just getting off the monorail. He had waited for the ferry but realized that the Monorail would be faster and ended up having to wait. They walked through the tunnel and started walking down Main St. Through out the day they found out new and exciting things about eachother. Mike mentioned that he had family in Massachusettes and had just flown back from there the day that Mindy flew in from Maine both flying out of the same airport. They talked about family and that Mindy really was his favorite name. He actually came home from the hospital in a pink blanket with the name Mindy embroydered on it. *that must have been a shock for his mom to be taking a baby boy home* Mike and mindy had a wonderful time that day. They enjoyed the rides, food, conversations and laughs they shared. After their day at the Magic Kingdom they took the ferry back over to the TTS to find Mike's car. They jumpped on the tram and headed for the parking lot. Once they arrived back to All Star Sports they sat in Mike's car and talked for another 4 hours. They decided that they would keep intouch and see if they could make something work long distance. They agreed that they would speak on the phone and over the internet and would travel to visit eachother whenever they could. That night they shared their first kiss  and said their good byes since Mindy was leaving in the morning.

After, a trip to Maine on Valentine's day that same year and a trip to Florida that same April, Mike was on his way with a U-Haul on Mother's Day to live with Mindy in Maine. *I always joke and say that he was the best souvinEAR I've ever brought home* He moved into her parents house with her and they made trips to Disney whenever they could. They eventually moved out of Mindy's parents house after about a year into their very own place.

October 2007, Mike and Mindy decide to take their semi annual trip to Florida. They arrived and went straight to the hotel. Mike had promised Mindy that she would get to see Wishes since she never had before. Hand in Hand they walked through the park. Everytime they go they are reminded of their first offical date where all of their magic started. It was dark and Mike said that he had spoken to someone that had seen the show before and the best place to watch it would be on the train station becuase there wouldn't be many people. Unfortuanely they were wrong. Spectromagic had just ended and there were about 5 rows of people on the deck. :sad2: Mindy mentioned that it would be ok they could still see the fireworks from where they were standing. Mike stood behind her where with his arms around her while they watched the sky light up with beautiful colors. After the fireworks Mike did not want to rush off. He did not want to have to deal with the crowds of people trying to get on the monorail. Unfortunately Mindy was ready to go. She was warm, her back hurt and she was tired. Mike mentioned that maybe they should go and sit where they first met at the park for their first date and sit there while watching the people. As they were sitting there a group of teenagers sat across from them under the Mickey garden. They began kicking a ball that was coming close to them. Mindy begged Mike to start walking to the Monorail to head back to the room. Mike wanted to stay and wait out the crowd some more. He walked Mindy over to the opposite side of the Mickey Garden over by the trash can. He stood there for a moment and turned to her. He told her how much he loves her, how beautiful she is and how much she has changed his life for the better. He looked into her eyes and asked her to marry him. Mindy's eyes began to well with tears. He wispered to her that he knows she doesnt like a scene so he wasn't planning on getting down on one knee but he said that he would if she wanted him to. He pulled out the ring and she replied with a yes!:yay: After hugging for a really long time he gave her a sweet kiss and handed her his cell phone. She looked at him puzzled. He said that her father and step mother knew all about it and had been waiting for a call. They knew the fireworks were at 9 and that was when he was going to ask her. Mindy called her family with the exciting news. ALL of her parents were SO EXCITED! ;)

** now back to the present and REALITY**

Mike and I have decided that we are going to be married on Jauary 5th, 2009 our 6 year anniversary. We are getting married at the Wedding Pavillion at noon! This is the link to my gown, the sash will be Marine blue.

We will be having our wedding with about 45 people. Everyone will be staying at Pop which is our favorite hotel. We are going to be having a reception back in Maine with the rest of our family on January 10th which is the saturday we get home. We are trying to incorporate everything Disney that we can in our reception at home. Our cake will have frosting hidden mickey designs, we are having Disney themed tables, our cake will have a castle on the top, and our favors are custom made shot glasses that have blue glass on the bottom and say in blue Mike and Mindy on January 5th, 2009 with mickey and minnie in a heart. Here is a link :) http://www.discountmugs.com/designlab/viewcustomdesign.php?designid=NDk0NTQ3

We have made all of the flower bouquets already. I wanted Calla lillies. There is no way that on top of everything else we would be able to afford real ones at $8.00 a stem. So I went to Wal-mart to see what they had artificial. They had some that were extremely real looking. They were still $4 a piece and to need 200 of them would be way to much for us. I was able to find the wholesaler/manufacturer of the same flowers at Wal-mart and purchase them directly through them for $1.00 per stem!!!! We got all of our wedding flowers for $200.00. We have hand tied all of the bouquets with blue and white ribbons and have made the flowers for the center pieces match the bouquets.

We are going in November to meet with Maxine our wedding coordinator and spark up those annual passes!

I can not wait until I can marry my prince :)

**I'll update as we get more info**

I would love to post our pictures however I do not know how to do that...if you know how I would really appreciate it if you could shed some light on the situation :)

Congratulations!! I think there are a lot of maine brides on here...Good luck..can't wait to hear more.

I picked marine, navy and serene as our colors becuase I have a brother in the Marines and another in the Navy and I wanted to honor both of them and Ive asked them both to wear their blues in the wedding...now I am crossing my fingers that they will both be able to take leave for the wedding. One is getting shipped out January 7th and the other is still up in the air when he is going to Iraq and Afganistan...im keeping my fingers crossed :)

8/19/08 - I just realized you said MAINE and not MARINE...sorry!

Congrats!! Your dress is gorgeous. DD is engaged to a marine also, but the wedding isn't until 1/9/10. We're still in the just thinking about planning stages and i'm still hoping she'll pick a disney wedding. Anyway, Mindy5648, how did you find the wholesaler for the flowers. DD does want lots and lots of flowers and i'm doing them, but looking to do them on a budget. I've been getting white ones here and there on clearance, but it's hard to find the nice looking ones.

I actually just googled the name on the tag for the flowers. The wholesalers is Teter's I believe. If you know anyone with a retail license then you are good to go. The flowers look real and they are soo pretty. I am very pleased with them and their price :) I really hope your DD chooses a Disney wedding too. I love reading planning journals...hehehe :surfweb:

**Update**
So we had origionally planned to have 50 people. With the items that I have chosen through the wish book the wedding was going to cost no more than $12,000.00. Well we have had some people back out which is ok so it has dropped the price of the wedding to $1079.00 *which as I'm sure some of you know the minimum for an off season wedding is $10,000.00. My future MIL called and her sister, husband and 4 adult children are now not coming after they RSVP'd. We are now under the minimum by atleast $300.00 and we were also counting them into our room block :( That is atleast 9 room nights and 1 groomsman down :( I feel really bad for DF becuase most of his family is not going...there will be his brother, SIL, 2 nieces, mother 2 friends and his god mother. The rest are all of my family becuase my family is so large. Unfortauntely now he will be short a groomsman and we will have to pay for the room nights that they are not using if we dont get to our alotted 25 nights and we will have to pay to get up to our $10,000 minimum. :sad1: Anyone want to go to a wedding January 5th at noon at the WP...we've gotta pay for it anyway...someone might as well fill in  Does anyone have any advice on this situation?? :confused3

I'm so excited our shot glass favors are due to arrive tomorrow...I can not wait to see them :D

So I came up with this crazy idea...please let me know what you think....

I thought instead of having table numbers we identify specific tables a different way. I was thinking of using Disney Craft Punches in different shapes. Instead of table 1 they would be at table glass slipper. There would be a glass slipper punched in their seating card and a glass slipper on their table. What do you think? There are tons of Disney punches out there with different shapes and characters. I didnt know if it was to nerdy. :yay: :dance3:

I think that is a great idea.... :goodvibes I plan on doing something similar. I plan on using movie titles for our tables. The seating cards will have pic of movie and then a place for guests name and the then the table name underneath. Each table will have a table card with the movie name and I plan on adding thematic table decor( colored linens and movie related items), i.e. cinderella table would be light blue with glass slippers and maybe a coach centerpiece....here is my sample. The quote inside the tent card is a quote form the movie. Good luck with your plans!:goodvibes

That sucks about people backing out!!! I would put in the main forum of the weddings that you have room availalbe in your block. That way people just vacationing or going to a PS/Site visit can get some cheaper rates. At least they told you now instead of a month before!!

Absolutely love reading everyone's ideas. You said you might you disney punches for the tables, it made me think of something as I looked at your signature. Don't know how many tables you're having. But you could incorporate your "special wdw dates" with the tables. Just an idea.

Mindy - I'm just catching up on your journal. What a wonderfully romantic story of how you and Mike met! :lovestruc And I think it was fate that brought you together. It seems like he was destined for you, what with that blanket and all. Wouldn't it be amazing if his family still had that tucked away somewhere?
Your gown is gorgeous and the shades of blue surrounding you will be so pretty with your coloring. We are getting married (again) exactly one week after you. Hey, with all the extra money in your minimum spend due to cancellations, have you thought of a MK portrait session? If so, ask about whether the crane will still be near the castle for Christmas decoration removal. If so, you might want to consider other venues at the MK too, or maybe EPCOT.
Can't wait to hear more of your plans!

love your pj so far!
we made all silk flowers too! and they were all half off at hobby lobby so it didnt cost us much at all!

We assigned each guest a table.. then left the seat up to them!
I also used Disney Characters for table names instead of numbers. Then at each seat we had a different Disney Love quote instead of a name card. It worked out really good.

Thanks for all of the great ideas and advice ladies. I now have one for you...I have been in contact with my wedding planner Maxine. My mom and I have been kind of concerned with the amount of girls in the wedding if we will have a place big enough for all of us to get ready. Well Maxine said that we could rent a ball room for the morning at the GF. I just thought I would throw that idea out there incase it will help anyone else out

Well...I would love to have all of the little extra bells and whistles but we are having a reception at home as well and know that we can not go too over board. We are going to arrive in rental cars to the ceremony and take the rented bus to the dinner afterwords with our guests. We have made all of our flowers so we will only be ordering the corsages and boutinEARS through the florist. We have chosen to have our ceremony before 2 so that saves a bunch of money. We have the wedding pavilion so we do not have to have the extra cost for music. Our meal is at 2 I believe so we are going to serve the lunch menu at the Napa room which is less expensive than the dinner menu. If you want to look at my wish book PM me and I would be more than happy to give you my log in info. I just dont want to post it on here and have someone go in and play around with my stuff :wizard:

I ordered the invites for our Maine reception through LCIpaper.com on Sunday. They have a HUGE selection and if you order through them and use google check out you get $5 off your order. They are just blanks so we can customize them ourselves. I was able to get the invites, double lined envelopes with navy blue foil for the inside of the envelopes, reply cards and reply envelopes...100 for $91.00 and that included shipping...and I got them in 2 days! They just arrived...I havent even opened them yet. Anyone have any ideas for how to keep them elegant but disney. We are going to use the Disney font like we did in our wedding invites...I was thinking of maybe using the punches that I bought for the seating cards and maybe putting a mickey head in the corner or something. What do you think? I am open for ideas!

Are you basing your calculations exclusively on the Wish Book, or do you have a budget or BEO from your Wedding Planner? Because the prices in the Wish Book are almost all out of date, and many of the factors of the wedding are not accounted for.

Unless you have your BEO and your planner is telling you you're under the minimums, you don't have anything to worry about. :thumbsup2 (Plus, we can always help you think up things to spend money on if you need to :rotfl: )

What does BEO stand for? Thank you so much for the heads up. I have sent my planner an email asking about this. I have been basing everything on the Wish Book. I am freaking out now becuase we are on a tight budget. Hopefully everything will be settled today or tomorrow.:headache:

Hey Mindy!!!

I love the idea of punching little Mickey heads on the invites....a nice subtle disney hint!!! :thumbsup2

As you have been told already....don't worry about your BEO...if your coordinator hasn't told you your under budget, then your probably right at the min.....

Keep the planning coming!!!!

What does BEO stand for? Thank you so much for the heads up. I have sent my planner an email asking about this. I have been basing everything on the Wish Book.

It's the Banquet Event Order - a detailed breakdown of every single thing happening on your wedding day. It contains some prices, but there is an accompanying price list that totals up EVERYTHING for you. You don't get either of these until a few weeks after your planning session.

So you won't really know your actual costs until then, but your Wedding Consultant (the person who drew up your contract and sent it to you) can put together and Estimated Proposal that will give you a better picture of the costs.

Hope this helps! :goodvibes

Hey Mindy,

I just finished reading your PJ and I love so many things about your wedding - especially the dress! And I've been considering silk flowers (so I can keep my bouquet forever), and it was great to read how you did it.

I do think the Maine brides need to start a little gang - there seem to be so many of us!

Congrats and I can't wait to keep reading! :surfweb:

We have decided that instead of having just plain seating cards that we will have Mickey heads instead. *my bm and moh are going to kill me when they find out that we have to cut out 180 mickey heads :rotfl:* We have decided to use the punches to identify tables instead of numbers. I know the punch is off center this is just a rough draft :) We are also going to get clear address labels instead of writing on them that way we can use the Disney fonthttp://i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo197/mindy5648/seatcard.jpg
Here is a photo of our favor..we are going to fill little dark blue organza bags with M&Ms becuase *i know it is corny* we are Mike and Mindy and our last name will also start with an M :dance3:

Hi Minday, I just found your PJ and am really enjoying it. Our wedding is just a couple of weeks after yours!

I loved the story of the way you too met! How cool :lovestruc !

Everything looks great so far!

When I was trying on dresses, I tried on the one you are getting. We didn't end up choosing it, but it is a lovely dress, especially with the blue sash.

We are doing serene for my BM dresses, and it is such a nice color, and really does seem to look goos on everyone.

I also liked your story about why you are incorperating all of the different blues into your wedding.

Everything looks great so far, and you have some really fun ideas!

Can't wait to read more!

I'm from all the way up in Limestone, on the Canadian border - maybe 5 hrs north! Thanks much for the invite making session! I would love to confer with someone who knows what they're doing with this - because I don't! :)

I love the idea of the M & M's! I'm a M M myself or as I prefer to say M2 (M Squared). Rob's last name starts with L, so my new initials won't be anything as cool as what you and Mike both have! I can only think of ml as milliliter or something equally as geeky. :confused3

Too bad there isn't one of those die cuts that you can get with scrapbooking that would allow you to cut out the Mickey's. I don't think they go that big. (Sizzix I think it's called). Get some extra M&M's and use them as bribery for the cutting! ;)

**OPINIONS**
So I am trying to come up with the wording for just our at home reception. Our parents are both divorced and I am going on my 3rd dad so we really dont want to have this crazy list of parents on the invite. We also don't want it to sound like...hey you arent important enough to go to our wedding but I would like for you to come to our reception. ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECAITED!!!!!!!!!!!! :scared:

You are very welcome. I'm always happy to dip into my supply of dancing bananas for a good cause!

I am sorry to hear about your brother in the navy :sad1: No dancing bananas for that one, but I'll keep him in my thoughts for his safe return back next year.

And as for the DF... may I send you an electric cattle prod? I've used it on my own DF to much success! :rotfl: You will help me pick out invitations! <ZaP!>

In all seriousness how are you doing the tuxes? Are you getting fitted up here? If so, offer to take him out to lunch after the fitting. Or to a movie? Or anything else he would like. But if that doesn't work, I am willing to share the cattle prod!! (Just kidding about this BTW! :lmao: )

He is going to be fitted up here and we are going to pick it up in Orlando. That way we dont have to worry about bringing it down on the plane. My dress on the other hand will be smushed into the overhead compartments...lol. Thank you for the prayers for my bother Morgan in the Navy. I am very proud of him and will still pay tribute to him some how. Maybe have one of my Bridesmaides carry his picture down :) How funny would it be to get a cardboard cut out for pictures...hahahaha

Aww, too bad your brother can't come. You must be very proud of him, though! I'm sure you will be thinking of eachother on your special day! My DF hasn't bothered to do a tux fitting yet. He wants to "lose more weight" first...

We are actually thinking of just buying him a new suit instead. The tux we liked was terrifyingly expensive to rent!

Sorry I can't think of any good suggestions for incorperating your brother in your wedding. Everything I can think of would be more of a memorial type of thing, and you certaintly don't want to be sad about him!

It's kind of tongue-in-cheek funny, but I think it's a great idea! When DH and I were first planning on getting married before our Jan wedding, we were going to have a proxy wedding (I was in Iraq...he would marry "me" in a proxy ceremony in TX). I was going to get one of those cutouts as a surprise to him, so that "I" could be there.

Definitely something to think about!

Hey there Ladies!
I thought I would update my long lost PJ! I had my "surprise" bridal shower today. My mom, step mom, Mike's Mom,MOH and my bridesmaids pulled it off beautifully. I will have pictures tomorrow. I was completely dreading it becuase I hate having a big todo go on for me. I am more of the fly under the raidar kind of girl. It was a lot of fun though. I walked in *with Mike being dragged because he wanted to go in as much as I did* and there was all of our friends and family waiting for us! The mamosas were flowing and there was tons of food. Hannah my co-MOH boombarded me with a cinderella tiara and a bride to be sash. Everything was decorated in dark blue *our main wedding color* and with Cinderella decorations. My favorite part was the cake. My mother took a picture of me when I was little in a blue Cinderella Dress and Mike when he was little and put the castle in the background and made it into an edible picture and it had "Dreams really do come true" written on the top! It was amazing. We received soooo many wonderful gifts and a bunch of things from our honeymoon registry too!!! Anyway, it was sooo much fun and it was great to see everyone.

** I also got new shoes becuase DH is the same height at me...so I had to return my fancy heels. I now have these shoes! They are so comfortable and I decorated them with Mickey rhinestones :)

Well I went for my first dress fitting last night. It was a lot of fun! I was super surprised that my dress actually still fit....which for me is a good thing! I have probaby gained a not so good 15lbs since I purchased my dress. They have a lot of work a head of them. They have to hem the entire dress becuase of my new shoe choice, the halter has to be shortened/tightened and we figured out a bustle!! It took about an hour to find a bustle that my mom and MOH could decide on. My dress has a marine blue sash on it and it is apart of the train. I am also not a girly girl so the last thing I want are bows. The first bustle the seemstress showed us was an under bustle and tied the sash in a large bow. Lets just say I looked like Daisy Duck...i had a duck butt and a gi-normous bow to just draw attention to my butt...not exatly what I was going for. She then made an over bustle which was really pretty but she made the sash do some really weird things. FINALLY we made it so that there was a over bustle and the sash comes up to the waist line and falls on either side of the bustle. I LOVE it my MOH has the pictures. I will post the pictures as soon as she gets off her lazy butt and sends them to me :surfweb:

I want all of your honest opinions once I post the photos!!!

By the way...I leave for Disney on Sunday for our planning session on Monday and well...we might as well activate our APs and figure out something to do :rolleyes1 **Did someone say the last day of the F&W and a little bit of Damian Spenelli (from General Hospital) at Super Soap Weekend.

We arrived last night and went straight to Epcot. It was the last night of the Food and Wine Festival! Mike was dyeing for Perogies and Polish Sausage but by 7:30 when we got there Poland was out of food!!! I had Nachos from Mexico!!!

We arrived at our hotel around 11pm. We have never stayed off property before. We are staying at the Ramada Inn Mainegate West. We are very surprised for $40. per night and 2 miles away from the arch! The rooms are bigger than the value resort rooms and ALL have a mini fridge. We are going to beale to eat breakfast here at the hotel to save us another couple of bucks!
...Planning session details to come soon...FDH just got out of the shower...and guess who isnt dressed yet...oops!

Hey Mindy -

AVOID DAISY DUCK BUTT!! It isn't you, it's the dress isn't made for that type of bustle - go with the over bustle. Much better.

My second pronouncement that requires capitalization: LOVE THE CROCS! They came out even better than you described! I saw crocs.com were having a sale on those, and I'm thinking of picking up a few pairs for my fg and jr bm. You inspired me! YAY! :cool1:

Hope you and Mike are having a great time down there - it's been miserable and rainy up here. We had 2" of snow yesterday and I heard it is going to rain again downstate. Enjoy the sunshine! :goodvibes

And hopefully you can find some pierogis. I'm half Lithuanian (go to Poland and hook a left - you can't miss it!) and I love some good pierogis! <drool>

Ok enough drool - have fun!!
-Meg

PS - Oh yeah third pronouncement - the dress is beautiful!!! :thumbsup2

megkate...thank you so much for the compliments on my dress and I am super excited that you are going to with CROCS for your wedding party.

On Monday we woke up early, ater some bagels that we purchased the night before, took a shower, and eventually were sitting in Frank's parking lot. We sat waiting for Maxine and looked at the photo albums. They have had some beautiful brides. We sat with Maxine *whom I LOVE by the way* and discussed all of our little details. We met with Rose who is a doll and we decided not to have any big arrangements but instead we are going to have glass bowls with calla lillies swirled for the center pieces and we are just going to have rose pedals for the alter and we are going to have swag with dark blue ribbon and light blue bows. I can not wait to see it. While we were sitting with Maxine we saw the coach. Honestly, I was NOT in love with it. There was a bride and groom leaving the pavilion and they got into the coach and "galloped" off...I just didnt have that "OMG I NEED TO SIT IN THAT". After we gauked at her we went back into Franks and ate some cake! I dont know about anyone else but their raspberry filling with white chocolate filling and marble cake...holy moly that stuff if good. At one point I asked for a spoon...lol. Eventhough we aren't getting a cake we couldnt just let it go to waste...but instead it went to my waist..heheheh Maxine then went off to play around with our BEO for about 15 minutes or so. While she was in her office there was another bride that arrived for her ceremony...and you will never guess what her wedding dress looked like...well if you click back one page in my PJ you will see it. I was totally bummed becuase Mike saw it and of course with my reaction to seeing her he def. caught on :(

I did take pics of the pavilion before my "twins" wedding...i'll add those soon!

We'll kids i'm off to CiCi's. I really think they need to open one in the Southern Maine area!!! More to add later :)

Oh I'm sorry about Mike seeing the dress, but you know what - he hasn't seen it on you - and that will throw any memory of that "twin" right out the window when he does on your day. Don't let it bother you too much.

And yes we need a CiCi's!

I know you of all people would feel my pain on this one:
We went to the ESPN club on Thursday to watch the pats game. Here we are all dec'd out in our pats jersies and loving the game...I must admit...it was one h-e-double hockey sticks of a game but man did it stink having to hear J-E-T-S jets jets jets all the way from ESPN to the Boardwalk :(

The food was really good I would not recommend getting the dessert pretzel sticks...they come with a peanutbutter sauce that is great but the sticks them selves...actually tasted like sticks...blah

Not everyone can be as cool as us Patriots fans. :cheer2:  Yell back 1969 at them - the year the Jets last won the Super Bowl. hehehe...

I had tried to keep this a live trip report for while we were in florida but as you can tell it really didnt happen. By the time we would get back to the room I would just crash...I didn't have any energy this trip at all...probably because this is the first time I have ever experienced Disney as a girl with some REAL excess meat on her bones. Being from Maine I knew I would be swetty however I NEVER thought I would be such a mess the entire time. The weather was perfect the first few days hight 70s then the heat and humidity hit. It was high 80s and super sunny the entire time that we were there. They are actually experiencing a cold front of mid to high 60s right now...AUGH how sweet that would have been :) :yay:

Through out the week we made a few priority seating meals. We ate at Taipan edo in japan and at the San Angel Inn in Mexico. Both were amazing. We really didnt have enough food money set aside but they were both worth it. We had never eatten in japan before. Taipan Edo is where they actually cook your food at your table on a huge grill. The food was amazing and the cast memebers that were apart of the wait staff were amazing too. Everything was so triditional any time someone said something to us they would first say it in Japanese and then in English and it always ended with a bow. It was great! The San Angel Inn was amazing too. We had eatten there twice before but I dont remember the drinks ever being as good as they were this time :)

On our last night we went and saw Wishes. I recorded the whole thing. Mike proposed just after Wishes the last time we visited Disney(last October) so it has sentimental value to us. I also wanted to record it so that I could put in on my computer to project for everyone to watch at our At Home reception.

We received our floral quote today from Rose. It looks like everything we wanted is going to fit into our budget which is such a relief. I am not a frilly girl so I really didn't want a lot of floral but enough to still feel like a wedding...lol. We chose glass bowls for the center pieces on the tables at the Cali Grill. Rose was able to send me photos to get an idea. She did say that they will have more flowers in them but we defiantely like the blue pebbles on the bottom :)
http://i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo197/mindy5648/centerpiece-callalilliesswirled.jpg http://i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo197/mindy5648/centerpieces.jpg
We are having white calla lillies not yellow.

Also if you have been keeping up with my PJ you will have read about my two brothers who are proudly serving our country. Joshua is in the Marines and is stationed in Cali and Morgan who is in the Navy and is stationed in Virginia. Josh has been granted leave for the wedding and the at home reception, while Morgan is shipping out and will not be able to attend either. Well thanks for MegKate and her solution for everything!!! I WILL be having both of my brothers at my wedding. Josh will be live and in person and Morgan will be a foamcore cut out!! I finally received his picture last night!!!!
http://i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo197/mindy5648/Morgan.jpg

There is actually a website that was found *cudos again MegKate* that makes Hero Helpers. They make cut outs of Military personnel for families to help ease the pain of seperation. It is such a great idea. I will be able to have my brother at my wedding for less than $50...only 18 inches tall but he will be there. Besides that we can bring him into Disney for free and take him on rides...and take pictures with him...hehehehe

I just wanted to stop by and give a quick update...I'm gone on a business trip all next week so when I get back it is going to be CRUNCH time! We finally have my dress back from David's bridal...after the seamstress had to fix my dress 4 TIMES!!! She screwed up my bustle and sash so bad!! One of the fitting my MOH actually looked at me and told me not to "go Zilla" on the seamstress! I needed to have buttons placed on my dress so that the sash could attach and be placed just right. Well the buttons were all over the place! The whole situation was SO STRESSFULL! So..to top it all off 2 weeks ago I sent my wedding band away with my engagement ring "fused" together and resized to be larger. Well I picked them up yesterday and they were made smaller instead of larger. So now there is a chance that I might not have my rings for the wedding!!! AUGH Im so stressed!

OK my rant is over!! :)

The other night we finally got around to meeting with our DJ for our at home reception! She is great and was a local DJ on one of the radio stations in our area. She is young and has a great personality so I am sure she is really going to get our guests out of their chairs!

We picked out our songs:

the parents and bridal party will be walking into (my favorite band) New Kids On The Block's "Right Stuff"

Mike and I will be walking into the song that plays with the Boston Bruins score a goal...I dont even know the name of the song.

Our first dance is going to be to "All I need" by Bret Michaels (Mike is a huge Poision fan)

The song for my dad and I is "I loved her first" by Hartland

Mike's song with his mom is "song for Mama" by Boyz II Men

We are not doing a garter toss but we are doing a bouquet toss...for that song we are going to have "put a ring on it" by Beyonce

Speaking of rings. I just went and picked up my newly sized wedding and engagement ring that I had fused together so I dont have to send them away after the wedding. They fit great and are so pretty!

If I could get some of your help!!! I need to write the wording for the announcement of the memorial candle for during the ceremony...any suggestions?? I dont even know how to start that!

I also wanted to thank everyone who has continually helped me along with way with their posts of congrats, opinions and advise. With the wedding just 2 weeks away I probably wont post very much becuase there is a lot of last minute things that I still have to do. I just wanted to let all of you ladies know just how apreciative I am for everything  With out Disboards I honestly dont know how I would have done it. So we leave tomorrow night. As I type this I am running around trying to get everything packed! Does anyone know if you can bring a garment bag as a carryon? I hope so I refuse to check my dress...is that bad? My mom, MOH and I just had our manis and pedis done and I got my eyebrows done for the first time in my life...im pretty sure they are crooked but everyone assures me that they arent..lol. We also went and ordered the boutinEARS for the reception and the coursages! It is going to be over $200.00! A bit more than I had expected but that is ok! We should be getting some money back from disney so it should be ok. We over paid kind of on purpose...just in case! So ladies...I hope you all have a wonderful New Y-EARS! Next time you hear from me I will be married and a year older...so much going on ... AHHH!!!!! I CANT BELIEVE THAT I AM GETTING MARRIED IN LESS THAN A WEEK!

We put this saying in our program.

In Loving Memory
In honor of those who are no longer with us, we have placed a white candle at the left side of the alter.
Even though you are no longer with us, we know you are here in spirit and will live forever in our hearts.

Rev. Knox made a mention of it during the ceremony. I do not remember his exact words. If I can find them I will let you know.

Here is a photo of our Memorial Candle along with our alter and side floral bouquets.

Picture of everything together.
http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q136/lpizzuro123/b663e728.jpg

And here is a picture of our cake table. They brought the Memorial Candle over from the ceremony and placed it here (glass filled with white flowers and floating candle). I did not realize they were going to do this but I am so happy they did.

Here is some wording that came with our wedding kit.

As we celebrate this wedding today, we would like to pay tribute to the special memory of __________, the mother of _________. She is with us today in the hearts of those who knew her and loved her. The love that she gave continues to live on, especially in the love that _______ brings to this marriage. We light this candle to honor _______. (Couple should go together to like the candle).

As both my DH and my mom had passed away with did not want to specify one person. Rev Knox said something like about but just changed it around a bit.
