I thought I had this all figured out. We're booked on the March 15 4 night cruise. We were going then because we had planned to go with friends. Well, they've cancelled due to finances and we're left with the ability to go whenever we want. (we were going for their anniversary)

I want to try for a cheaper time. I was looking mid-late January. I usually sit around for hours playing with options and such, but we're moving out of state in 8 days and I don't have time. But I need to get this planned for my own sanity and because every day that passes is the chance for the cruise to be sold out.

Does anyone want to help me out? It will be just my husband and I, we're leaving the kids at home. :) My hubby turns 30 this December and it's our 10th anniversary next June, plus he just got a huge promotion, so it's really our celebration vacation. He's planning on taking 2 weeks of vacation and we want to stay onsite and do the parks a few days sans kids. I'm also thinking perhaps we'd check out Universal and perhaps Kennedy Space Center.

I'm not sure if it would be cheaper to do the land & sea that cruises Jan 25. That seems to be the cheapest 4 night around that time. We could come down earlier in the week, do Universal, then go to Disney and then the cruise. Perhaps then hit Kennedy if we wanted to before going home. We'll be driving from Michigan. I can't deal with the flying regulations and we can afford the time to spend just the 2 of us on the road.

So...land and sea, or book separately? Disney before or after the cruise if we book separately? We're not picky on the stateroom, we were planning a cat 11. We do want to get away from the value resorts this time, since we're not going to be with kids. ;) When I priced the land & sea, they didn't have any resorts left for the cat's 9-12, according to the website. So that would put us in a cat 7. Not necessary, but if it was close to the same price anyway it would be great.

Any advice?

We did a land & sea together in April 07. We had it priced together as we were meeting up with other family members. However, other DISers say it is cheeper to book seperatly. So I would check into that. Also, do the parks prior to the cruise. This way you can relax near the end without feeling rushed.
