Who will be there Sept 17-21st?

Just curious to see who all would be there from the DIS! Where are you staying and how crowded do you think it will be?

We will be at SSR for the first time!

DH and I will be there the 14th-19th. Staying at the VWL. We were there last year 2 weeks later and the crowds were not bad. Rest. might be busy but the parks were not. We won Dream Fastpasses at Magic Kingdom last year and didn't even use them because there were no waits for the rides. Have a great trip, maybe we will see you there. I will have a LMGH on my baggalini.

We were there last Sept. 14 - 21 and the crowds were much busier than we thought they were going to be. We still had a good time, but I had listened to all of the in September the parks are "dead" and "empty" posted and that is NOT was we found. The parks were neither dead nor empty. I would say the crowds were medium-ish, still better than summer and other busy holiday times. It was very hot though, so remember to drink plenty of water.

I'm sure ya'll will have a great time, just get to the parks early and use those Fastpasses.

well if it's any consolation, i just spoke to someone for dining and when she asked what i was looking for, i responded with 'a miracle' and she rattled off 3 or 4 restaurants, one of which was the one i was looking for.

granted there was only 1 table left for my party size out of a 3 day weekend, but I snagged it.

i've been to WDW in sept every year for the past few years. it's not the crowds that 'bug' me, it's the weather and the lovebugs.

We will be there from 9/12 -9/21... Went the same time the year before last during free dining and the crowds were really low... Never waited more than 15 minutes for a ride, in fact, walked right in to most of them... Longest we waited was for Turtle Talk with Crush... Was a bit humid, and the lovebugs were HORRIBLE!!! Hopefully will be similar crowd-wise to '06:banana:

We're also going to be staying at AKL from 9/16-9/24! We've been once in September....probably 6 years ago.....and back then it wasn't busy at all. Can hardly wait!!! :cool1:

Plus, all kids have just gone back to school, so won't have to worry about too many kids there.

Disney did not start offering the September Free Dining Promo until 2005, that's why the 2004 crowds were low. The September crowds seem to get a little bigger with every year that free dining is offered. Also, there will be many, many children in the parks. Thousands of people last year, just like us, took their children out of school for the free dining promo. The savings are just too big for some families to pass by. Especially, with the size family that we have. The crowds will still be very manageable and way below what summer and holiday levels are, but as I stated earlier in this thread, we found the crowds to be more medium-ish than low. Just get to the parks early and use those fastpasses.:thumbsup2 Hope everyone has a magical vacation!

I think Sept can be hit or miss. Last year the MK was horribly crowded on one day but the next was empty. That's why we get hoppers. But even on the most crowded days, it's nothing compared to when we went in March one year on spring break.

We were there at the same time last year, and we found that it was pretty hot and crowded! The average waits for us were about an hour, except for a few rides (It's a Small World). I know it is much busier now with the Free Dining!

DD17 and I as well as 2 ( non DIS) friends will be at the POP from the 15 - 20th. Our experience with the crowds has been positive. We've never really waited very long for any of the rides. I consider 20 minutes or less as not very long. IMO last year was the worse as far as the heat and humidity are concerned.

We'll be there Sept 19-29 :banana: Last year we were there Sept 8-16th and it was GREAT! The longest line was maybe 15 min. It was hot but the really low crowds are worth it.

We will be at CSR from the 17th-24th. I haven't been down in September since 2005 when they first offered free dining, so I have no idea what it is like now, but back then it was hot and empty!:woohoo:

We are doing dinner one night at the castle, Mickey's Halloween Party, and the Hoop De Doo revue.

We are scheduled to be at BWV from 9/14-9/21. We were to take my girlfriend's daughter and her husband who is in the Navy. He had his leave
approved and we were all anxiously awaiting our trip. This is their first trip
to the world.
On Friday son-in-law is told to pack and to have his affairs in order
they are being deployed on Tuesday for an undetermined amount of time.
We are devastated, yet extremely proud of his service. His immediate response was take my wife to the world and show her an extra good time.
I believe we can talk her into going and we will try with all our hearts
to show her the magic while her hubby protects our freedom.

I'm worried about intense heat and crowds, since it's not something I've had to deal with at The World before. We will be there the 12-21st. I am hoping that the crowds are not too bad. It will still be hot though. We just booked the dinner at Tomorrowland Terrace for the 14th for 7:30 with a Wishes fireworks that night at 8pm has anyone watched the fireworks from here. I thought that it would be nice to watch from there. Then EMH begin at 8pm that night. It will be our only chance to use EMH as we have a 3YO and will be staying up a few nights for the MNSSHP and we also want to see Illumination and Fantasmic. We do have a number of ADR at various places like Royal Table could only get dinner though. Also have Akershus, Crystal Palace, Tuskerhouse Breakfast, Ohana Character and the Luau. We are also trying to figure out the best day to go to WL whispering canyons. Might see some of you there. We will be the ones with the crazy hats. Oh wait this is Disney lots have crazy hats. :rotfl: Really we will be short Cinderella, Fiona and Knight for the MNSSHP. Of course we found out too late about the Free Dining but will keep my eye out next year for it.
