I've been calling and calling to book the tea party w/no success (we leave in 10 days!!!) How likely are no shows to the Tea Party? Can I hope to get my 2 dds in if I wait around on that day? I've been calling 3x a day for the past wk. Has anyone ever gotten into a ps res'd w/a cc because of a no-show???
Thanks for any shared experiences!!!!

I doubt that there would be many "no shows" since you have to give a credit card and they charge your credit card if you don't show up. But, I think you have to give a 48 hour notice to cancel, so when it gets down to the 48 hr point, call to see if any one cancelled. Even once your in Disney, call from your hotel.
Good Luck!!!

We also tried to make reservations 30 days in advance for our two dds but were unsuccessful. We were told that since people do have to reserve with a cc that cancellations do occur to avoid a fee. So we callled every day up until the day we left and had no luck. on the day of arrival when we checked in we decieded to try one more time.....bingo... two cancellations for the next day. The girls had a great time making cupcakes having pb&j tea sandwhiches while my wife and I had lunch alone!! at the cafe. Keep trying.

I would do as the others suggested and call every day right up to the day of the event. I had to cancel a few of my reservations over the Christmas/New Year's holidays because of changes in plans for my group vacation. I actually gave up two spots for all three of the GF's children's activities (tea party, pirates cruise, cooking class) since my niece & nephew decided not to attend. My daughter still attended, and believe me, she had a ball just like she always does and did not miss her two cousins one bit. Their loss, and (hopefully) two other children's gain. Good luck! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Thanks everyone - you've given me renewed hope! I've been calling everyday twice a day (feeling like a loon) but I will continue to do so!!!

I think many cancellations happen at the last minute. My dd just was not feeling well the day before her teaparty (fever and cough) and I knew her friend would not go without her so instead of risking the loss of all that money I cancelled just with 15 minutes of the deadline. I apologized profusely to the Reservationist because I felt so bad . But she said it happens all the time.
I also think there might be some cancellation the same morning for the same reason kids get very tired or sick, you just never know. Although two spots might be difficult.
