It all happened before I got home from work last night, but I did DVR it. Did ya know they lodged a protest? 1 100s of a sec?!? A M A Z I N G!!

I saw when he was tallking with Mark Sptiz. He is such a nice humble boy!! And I loved how when he won his mom just sunk down in the seat...

Hey all!!

Just got home and had a fabulous time meeting up with Mickeyteacher and her family!!! Such well-behaved kids.. now ask about my youngest.. ERRR! No, he wasn't that bad but he thinks he should be able to run w/ the big boys! The kids all seemed to have a good time... We saw a bit of the museum but there was still more to see but the kids were having so much fun w/ the interactive, hands-on stuff that you don't want to pull them away! WE even got to see a movie in the planetarium related to Star Wars. how are planet could resemble places in the Star Wars movies.. It was cool...

They were headed back south to go to the wedding in the cornfields of Indiana!! Hope they had a good time!!! :)

i'm so glad to hear that you had a good time nancy. it must be nice to put a face with the name. is this the 1st time you met her? it's funny how people never look like what you think they will look like. does that make any sense at all??? i'd love to be going to wdw to meet everyone at the breakfast. maybe next time.

well i did nothing on my list today! and proud of it!

we went mini golfing. did i mention that ds has absolutely NO athletic ability!!!!! NONE! but we had fun and that's all that matters.
then we went school shopping. we did the backpack, lunchbox, thermos.....
and the clothes. it's a good thing i only have one! holy cow did i spend some money. i had to kick dh and ds out of the store when it was time to pay, because dh would just roll his eyes. and i did not feel like seeing it! what?:confused3 he has to be the best dressed kid in Rhode Island, doesn't he???:confused3 he looks so much better when he is dressed right. i can't stand to see him look sloppy. it drives me nutty! and t-shirts and underwear. boy they don't give that stuff away. i might take it back and get a bigger size. some of it looks too small. maybe i'm in denial about how old he is and what size to buy!!!???;)

It was so nice to put a name to a face!! Yes, this was the first time we met. We were suppose to meet @ the beach @ the POLY in June to watch Wishes...but DD got a severe migraine... which I think was related to what was yet to come in her young life..because her aunt showed about almost a month later! Darn uninvited guests!!! (especially for a teenage!)

lisa did you find your sneakers???????

What? Lisa lost her sneakers... doesn't she need those for disney?? Sneakers, Sneakers, where are you! Hey, Did you check the closet?? It's so funny..because we put my DD's shoes in her closet and she will panic because she can't find her shoes! I guess if you don't trip over them, they are in the wrong place! :confused3 :rotfl2:

ETA: I've meant to tell you twice.. I'm so glad you all had a wonderful time this week on vacation and spending time w/ Little Man!!!

Yep, it cost a small fortune to dress the kids!! I don't even take DH any more... He likes to go but you would think I stuck it to him when we pay! Hello, I budget for this.. why do you think I say we are broke when we aren't!

I have a tendency to always buy my kids' clothes a size bigger so they last a bit longer..but today I have noticed that I really just have to have them try them on..because one brand a small is too little... another brand it's just right, and yet another brand it looks like a small dress!! Good thing you don't have a teenage DD that thinks tight is good.. Hello, you do have to sit down in those pants and they are suppose to stay together.. Now, if SusieQ's parents don't mind her pants splitting once a week than so be it.. but the money tree in my back yard is bare! :headache:

As soon as I get SusieQ's info, I'll be forwarding it to many.. I'm sure all of us could use a seed from that tree to start our own trees!!!! Mine has been bare for years!!!

They have them in the Alameda Gardens in Gibraltar. Unfortunately, it wasn't in bloom while we were there.

I think we could all use those. I took my Cricut to a friend's house for "show&tell" today and when we were talking about price she was like, "how can you afford that!" When each of her three girls came in the room, I said, "Well, I don't have that, or that, or THAT." :rotfl:

Both her and her mom agreed that it wouldn't seem so much without having rugrats.

Good news, though, I think I have her hooked on the bug, so at some point I will sell her my little bug for cheaper than she can get it new, and I will upgrade to the Big Bug. :woohoo:

We also had such a good time yesterday meeting up with PN and her family. The kids had such a good time playing and interacting with all the fun science stuff. PN's children are a delight. It was so much fun to see PN's DD helping my DD with the computer stuff. She even chased her into many exhibits. Thanks for helping out so much!
The movies was cool- DS was impressed that there might be those places for real. I hope all the boys (even the big boys) enjoyed the movie as much as DH and DS did.
The boys tried really hard to stop the plain from flooding in one exhibit- It was fun to see them working together to pile the rocks high so that the flow of water was stoped and the town could be saved.
Now, I know when I get ready to meet someone for the first time, I worry that they might be as nice in person as they are on-line, but let me tell you PN is just as nice. She was so patient when I called to let her know that we would be late because of traffic/ misjudging time it would take to move all the kids around.
PN, I hope next time you get down south, you will let me show you the same hospitality that you showed us yesterday. Thanks for a fun day.
The weddign was fun last night- not what I was use to, but fun! We where in the middle of several corn fields in the backyard of the brides parents. They have an incredible backyard with a pnd, fountains and lots of land. They had a large white tent for everyone to sit under for dinner and dancing. DH and I had a lot of fun dancing the night away under the stars. The kids had a great time dancing and running around with all the other kids barefoot.
