Alrighty, here goes my first ever trip report! YAY! :banana: :banana:

We're sad to have left Disney, but I'm excited to write this. Honestly, call me crazy, but it wasn't that bad to leave. :confused3 We pushed ourselves so much, and it's so hot, and we really feel like we did everything we wanted to (that we could afford).

I took well over 1000 pictures, and I like pictures much more than reading a bunch of writing, but I'll include both to make every one happy! :thumbsup2

Basically, we drove to Detroit on the 6th and went to the zoo. We flew out of Detroit to Fort Lauderdale on the 7th. Then the 7th-10th we were in Boynton.

We had conjoined rooms with my Nana and Pop-pop. We were in 2330 and they were in 2331. For the sake of those who don't know the meaning of the room numbers, it's this:

2-3-30
2 is the building
3 is the floor
30 is the room number on that floor

So, we were on the back side of the wing on the lake side of the jukebox building, basically.

He LOVED it. He was so well-behaved, and loved almost every ride (he wasn't a big fan of the gun fight in GMR, but other than that). I would suggest it to anyone thinking of bringing a little one. It was awesome! :cutie:

Unfortunately, you've got a long wait. I've got about 3 updates left in Day 1, I'd say (Carriage Ride, then Test Track, then Coral Reef), and then you have to wait through Day 2, Day 3, Day 4, and the majority of Day 5. :rotfl:

But, I'm going to try and get done with my TR relatively quickly before I forget everything. :thumbsup2

We headed to Epcot after our awesome Carriage Ride (I'm not sure it was worth the $40, but it was a great experience and we really enjoyed it!).

We had about an hour and a half, so we decided to ride Test Track, since it was a 60-minute stand-by. We got lucky and it only took 45, including the ride!

We got out of the hotel room at 8:05, and we were on the bus by 8:20. We tried to leave the room an hour before we wanted to be at the park, and it seemed to work out perfect!

Where we left off was that I saw a group of people in blue shirts and khaki shorts.

Well, yes, it was the dream team.

They were standing next to the entrance of a walkway, so we decided to conveniently sit down for a second on the bench and take a rest. Well, this was at a corner in PFET where there was a walkway, an area, and then a walkway. They were in the second walkway. Well, they walked to the end of the first walkway, and started handing out Dream Fastpasses. We walked over, and the girl was a TOTAL biotch. "THIS IS AN EXIT ONLY! :mad: " and she threw up her arm to block our way and glared us down.

My mind screamed, but I barely stammered out "So...rry..." and walked away, almost in tears. She was a total jerk to me. :sad2: Fine if she couldn't give them to us, but geez. What an a-hole. It made me quite leery of the dream team, and I was trying not to cry, and Nic thought I was silly, and I was like "That's probably the closest I'll get to getting a dream this week! And she was a jerk!"

So, no, we didn't get a dream from them. But, it's okay.

We headed towards the front to meet up with my Dad, and saw Stitch, so we stopped and got a picture. This was our first Photopass picture. I don't have them yet, so I'll just do a post later on with them all when I get them.

We got EE fastpasses, then dropped Jacques off to Nana and Pop-pop.

On our way back in, we rode Dinosaur, and then headed to EE to use our FPs.

I think it was because the line for POP was SO LONG. At Epcot, it takes up the two sections, and it was still through all the back-and-forths and then all the way out past the entrance to the line.

Peeking in to say I've been reading, but just realized I hadn't posted. Thanks for all the good pictures. I love seeing Pop always.

We started our last summer's trip by a meal at Whispering Canyon, too, and your food pictures reminded me of how much we enjoyed it. Trent wants to go back there for another meal next summer, so I'm sure we'll head that way for some more cowboy grub!

I'm glad to see someone else takes pictures of Disney lighting. The themed lighting they have all over the place is just so cool!

After dropping off Jacques, we headed over to 50's Prime Time Cafe.

We went in and put in our names, and sat down.

Eventually, we got sat. Not too bad of a wait. Maybe 10 minutes.

Our waitress was awesome. She told us to set our own places, and gave us knives and forks. So, we set them like this.

She came up and was like "Wow. Canadians." and nodded at Nic and we laughed.

Nic got a Cherry-flavored Coke, Dad got a Vanilla-flavored Coke, and I got a chocolate malt.

She brought me this and said "Here you go. The low-calorie version"

The food looks yummy - and so funny about how you guys set your plates!!

I would LOVE to go there but my kids would totally freak. They wouldn't "get" that the waitress was just messing with them and would freak out by having someone else tell them how to eat and what to do. Or else maybe they would listen to her as they barely listen to me......

Our waitress was great about it. The kid at the table next to us was the same way, and she totally took it in stride. He retaliated, and didn't like it, and she backed of perfectly. :thumbsup2 But I don't think all of them are the same way.

After lunch, we were going to use our ToT and RnR fastpasses, according to Ridemax, but were like "OH GOD! No."

After MoDA, we headed over to VotLM to use our FPs. Wow, the acronyms!

Now, I'm lax on pictures of this part, partially because I don't want to remember it!

We decided to head over to Rock'n'Roller Coaster, to use our FPs.

We gave them the passes and headed up the line. We got in and watch the totally dork-fest of a video. My ex would've been in heaven. He's seriously screwed in the head with how much he loves Aerosmith. But, he also (this may be TMI) refused to lose his virginity, unless it was in a threesome. Including after he got married. If it was with Joe Perry and Steven Tyler, I think he'd probably die of happiness!

Anyways, we get through the video and exit into the loading area. Right before we got on, they decided something was wrong. They kept going "It'll be back up in a minute." Well, it wasn't. They gave us re-entry passes and let us out the exit area. This is ride number 1 to break down.

We decided to head over to ToT to use those FPs, then see if RnR was back up.

It took us longer to hike up the mountain that is the ToT line than it did to get through the line once we got to it and the ride combined. Well, we got up there, got through the line, and sat in our seats. Back row, left side.

I've only been to MGM/DHS once before and there was no way in hell I was riding ToT back then, so I was a ToT virgin. It was much different than I thought. I assumed it would be pull us up, and drop us a few times. I was totally shocked when the doors opened and we actually moved through the hall. But, it made sense.

WOW! I love that ride! At one point, my butt hadn't fully sat down and I was up again!

Well, we checked on RnR. Still down. Crap.

We had a DVC tour at 5, and it was 3. :idea: TS:MM! We decided to single-rider line it up. We didn't care too much about sitting together, and if it got us through faster...

Anyways, so, we're sitting there, and a CM comes up (we're at the back of the line) and goes "I need the last person in line to come with me", which is Nic, so he takes Nic and we see Nic appear on the handicap loading area. They needed someone over there. We called his cell and told him to just meet us at the exit. Well, then the guy is talking to the family and come back up. He goes "I need another person from the end of the line, because someone decided they didn't want to ride", so my dad goes. The two of them end up getting to sit together and all! Fine, whatever, I'll just chill. At this point, we were at the top of the stairs going down to the loading platform.

Well, they get through and get off, and wait at the railing outside the little exit gate, so they can still see and sign-language to me. Well, this one car was acting up, so they just sent it through without riders. Fine, whatever, I don't care. No big deal. In the grand scheme, one car doesn't really matter. I get down to the floor, and get in the line. I'm next! Well, it gets back through, and they decide to stop the ride to mess with it. I'm sitting there on the phone with Nic going "Should I just leave? How much longer do you think this'll be?". He asks the CM just standing there, not doing anything, at the exit gate what's going on. She goes "None of your business!" and he was like "I just need to know if it'll be back up soon--" and she totally ignored him and stuff. Wow, what a "B". She could say "We can't tell you that" or "I don't know" or whatever, and it'd be fine. But, sheesh, woman, no need to be that big of a jerk.

Alright, so this is ride number 2 to break down.

Finally, they figure out the problem. I was standing really close to the guy directing people, and he kept me in the loop on what was going on, and then Nic asked the guy that fixed it as he was exiting.

Turns out there's a sensor that goes off if say, a child's hand is under the car and shuts down the ride. Well, that was going off, and they couldn't figure out why. They knew that clearly it wasn't a kid or anything. Turns out someone had dropped their glasses under the car.

So, after more than an hour-and-a-half wait, I get to ride!

Now, remember how we said we had a DVC tour at 5? Well, it was 4:40, and we were supposed to be out there at 4:40. We stopped by the DVC kiosk, and they said it was fine if we were a few minutes late, and that they'd let the driver know, since we were the only ones they were picking up.

We still had the RnR passes. We went over to RnR and there was a couple there, debating whether or not to ride, since it was a longer wait. We went up and asked "Are you going to ride this?" and they were like "Well, yeah, we wanted to", so we handed them our re-entry passes and said "We can't use these, because we're running late for something else. They work just like fastpasses". They said thank you, and we practically ran to the front to the van.

Epcot Day!

Now, this is one of the best parts of the day, and I have zero pictures of it until the end, so please, bear with me!

Well, we used Ridemax, and our touring plan didn't start until 9:30, but we were over to Seas with Nemo and Friends by 9:15 (first on our touring plan), and so we decided to grab Soarin fastpasses real quick.

Well, then, after the whole fiasco of having to leave the stroller out, we decided to risk putting off the touring plan for a few minutes, and used our DVC instant fastpasses. We used up one whole card and my dad and I went in while Nic stayed out with Jacques, and then we'd switch (we did this with Mission: Space and Test Track, too, with me staying out for Mission: Space since I didn't want to ride it again, and my dad staying out for Test Track so Nic and I could get our picture).

My dad and I went into the fastpass lane and the line stopped and we were just too far from being able to see around the corner. We didn't really think much of it until we hadn't moved for a good 30 minutes! We're like "WHAT THE HECK?! Another break down!? You have GOT to be KIDDING!", except, a little more... inappropriate language. Heh.

Well, after another 10 minutes, and an angry call to Nic (not angry at him, angry at Soarin), we FINALLY moved. We were totally ready to be angry, but we saw an amazing sight...

Blue shirts... Khaki shorts... COULD IT BE?!?! IT IS!!!!!

But what are they giving out? I'm happy with anything, of course, but is it...? is it...?

But, here's the problem. There's my dad and I, but Nic is outside, with Jacques. I explain it to the girl to see if they can do anything. She tells me to ask this other guy who's like, the head of their group. He listens to me, then pulls another one out of his bag and goes "Here you go!"

So, we rode Soarin and then went out and baby swapped.

Nic and I got in line and dad waited with Jacques. We got in the fastpass line, and waited. And waited. And waited... And waited. "NOT ANOTHER ONE!!!!"

Yep, another one. After waiting for about 45 minutes, we FINALLY started moving again. AARGH!

We met up with my dad in Mousegears, and I sat with Jacques on our bench while my dad and Nic rode Mission: Space. Remember this, because it comes into play later!

They finally got back and we hurried over to Le Cellier for our lunch reservations.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE IT!

Totally, 100% recommend it.

We only waited twice in a line over 20 minutes. First, Test Track, but that's because we had about 75 minutes to ride something at Epcot, and, well, Ridemax can't do anything about that. And Second, Toy Story: Midway Mania, because we didn't think we'd ride it, but as you saw from our turn of events, we had time to add it in.

It was AMAZING! We actually laughed that it worked TOO good, because we got everything done so quickly! We split MK into two days. The first day, we were done with everything we wanted to do by 3, and the second day, we actually left after the 3 PM parade, because we'd finished things, rode things a second time, sat around, and were honestly SO TIRED (it was our last day).

I completely 100% think everyone should use it. Definitely worth the $15!

Sometimes you do have to work more around the park between locations, but we'd rather that than sit in line, and it still wasn't bad.

We saw people RUNNING everywhere on our MK AM EMH day, and we leisurely took our time and knew what we were doing, and we got more done in 8 hours than I'm sure most of them did all day.

Alright, I'll shut up. lol.

That's what it is. You get a free walk to the major rides/attractions. We've been fortunate enough to have received them at Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and Magic Kingdom - in that order, on three separate trips.

For our first, and only, time this trip. We figured that he had just gotten pinched in the highchair at LeCe. He was all good, and it didn't seem to be bothering him. because I'll totally forget to revisit this later on, it did clear up and get better. It faded alot by that evening, and was gone by the flight home. But man, were we FREAKED out.

Ready for the inevitable?
Well, right before the burning of Alexandria scene, the ride started jerking. And, you guessed it, we stopped! Right at the Alexandria scene. With that horrible burning smell. Then I was like "What if that's not just the scene? What if something's burning?!". But, eventually, after maybe 15 minutes, it started back up.

I don't remember the old version too well, but I definitely liked it!

Oh yeah. Well, Nic's hypoglycemic, so he can't go too long without filling stuff, and we just weren't finding anything that sounded good, and he didn't tell me he really wanted food until after we passed the places that he really wanted to eat.

You see, rope drop was at 8 for EMH. That meant we needed to be on the bus by 7. So, bus stop by 6:30... An hour or so to get ready... and we arrive at 5:30 AM!

First up, we grabbed Space Mountain fastpasses.

I'd like to take a second to, once again, point out the wonder that is RideMax. Everyone around us was RUNNING to rides. We calmly walked to Space Mountain, knowing we were going to pick up a fastpass, and head to Buzz Lightyear. We had the times for walking, and the wait times, and we were completely at ease. We ended up being done with everything we wanted to do by 2, including eating lunch, multiple rides on things, and being rained out for a while, plus a ride around the train circuit that we weren't expecting to get in. For the $15 or whatever, it was SO WELL worth it! And we didn't feel at all pressured to follow an exact schedule. We got there, and used it, but we customized it as we went to fit our needs, and it was PERFECT. We'll be getting it for our honeymoon, and even if the price jumped to $100, we would still get it. It's worth every penny.

They weren't too bad. We got there about 7:20 and were maybe 6 people back in the line. It got worse the later it got, but it was pretty good.

In November, unless it's Thanksgiving, you should be good if you get there around 7:30, I'd think.

Well, we walked down to the beach and picked out two lawn chairs next to each other. We threw our shoes and my bag on them, and walked down to the beach.

I stepped into the lake, but it was cold, so I came back out. We stood there looking over at MK, and Nic put his arms around me.

Then, he let go and after a second, turned me around, and he was down on one knee with the ring box.

He told me "Summer, I've always known I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you. Now I want to make it official. Will you marry me?"

I, of course, said yes!

My ring is a beautiful half-carat 3-stone, with 3 side stones on each side (meaning 9 total. Hahaha.). Nic picked it out all by himself, and it's exactly what I wanted (Well, other than the calla cut ones that are callas on top, butterflies on the side, but we looked at them, and it's like $90k. So, that was QUICKLY out of the question). I had told him nothing huge, but beautiful.

So, then we went back to the lounge chairs, snuggled up, and watched the fireworks.

After the fireworks, we headed back up to the monorail, took it over to MK, and then we jumped on the bus back to Pop.

We got back, told everyone the story (even though they knew it was happening. I was like, the only person not in on it) and then tucked in for some much-needed sleep.

We had decided to sleep in a little today. Our touring plan didn't start until 10.

First thing was to return one of our fridge swap fridges to Luggage Storage, and switch the other to the next person. This was the only semi-disboard-meet we had. We met dydo2424.

We came out, and Nic saw a girl who had pins, that just happened to have a certain dreamy outfit on. Hahaha. So, of course we went over.

She didn't have anything we wanted, but she told us congrats (we had the ears on and just married pins that the people edited to say "Just Engaged". She asked us how it happened. Then, she saw my Ariel pins and asked if I was a fan, and I said yes, that she was my favorite. She asked if we'd been over to see her, and we said no, because Jacques couldn't handle a 90 minute line. She said "Come here and follow me", so we did. She brought us over by the carousel and told us to park the stroller, so we did, and we got Jacques out. She brought us to the exit, and once the people in there finished up, she let us go in and meet Ariel. We got pictures, but I'll post them in the photopass pics at the end.

After meeting Ariel, we headed to Peter Pan.

I am staying at the Poly next month and I read the Poly Thread over on the accomodations board and I saw your post from earlier that said you got engaged at the Poly so I knew the where I was just waiting to read the how!! Sounds like Nik did it wonderfully and you were totally surprised. And what a gorgeous setting for an engagement!!!

I hope you guys are able to honeymoon at the Poly - we are staying there for the first time next month - of course our 3 kids will be with us so no honeymoon type activities :rotfl: but it will still be a blast for us!!!!

A few additional comments....I love your dress that you were wearing at Chef Mickey's.

The Photopass Pics are great! Love the black and white ones, and the one of Jacques...so cute.

I read on another TR once that Disney forgot to add a character to a picture (I think they were missing a Darth Vader in a "fight" against him), and they just called Disney and they were able to put it right back in no problem...might be worth a try!

I am staying at the Poly next month and I read the Poly Thread over on the accomodations board and I saw your post from earlier that said you got engaged at the Poly so I knew the where I was just waiting to read the how!! Sounds like Nik did it wonderfully and you were totally surprised. And what a gorgeous setting for an engagement!!!

I hope you guys are able to honeymoon at the Poly - we are staying there for the first time next month - of course our 3 kids will be with us so no honeymoon type activities :rotfl: but it will still be a blast for us!!!!
