Hi all,
Does anyone have any good "inexpensive" ideas for a table centerpiece, fall theme. We are doing an employee recognition luncheon in October and would like a couple of ideas.

We are thinking of bunching up a couple of the little gourd pumpkins and spreading the fake leaves around them and then sprinkling some fall wrapped candy "Hershey" on top of the leaves.

We are trying to keep the centerpieces as inexpensive as possible as we work for a non-profit organization and money is tight this year, but we still want to recognize our employee's and the great work they do.

Thanks for any ideas.
Jenny

something I have done before is to hollow out enough of an apple to hold a votive candle. You can do this with different colors of apples and mix in pumpkins and gourds and leaves as all are fall themed.

Our nonprofit had a gourd decorating contest for staff -- co. provided the little crookneck gourds for everyone, and it was amazing the creativity. You could use the decorated gourds (on the leaves as you noted) as the table centerpieces, and then offer prizes for the funniest, most original, scariest, etc. It was a lot more fun than I expected.

Are you serving any type of food? We have hollowed out pumpkins (small ones) and put a small bowl inside of it. (It doesn't go all the way down, but wedges right onto the top of the pumpkin) then we put dips in them and a tray of pretzels, veggies etc on the outside around it.

We've also bought those plastic pumpkin and witches couldrons and put chips or pasta salad in htem :)

Glass candle jars filled with candy corn. I saw this done for a wedding and it was great! They used different sizes of jars. Candy corn is inexpensive also.
