I think that time is like that all around Nassau. When we made arrangements to go horseback riding through the tourism office, the stables said they would have someone pick us up at a certain hour. He showed up so late that hubby was firmly convinced he would never come at all...personally, I had faith as I figured that things run on island time.
We once mailed a postcard from CC and had already been on another cruise by the time we got it!

Hi atigeg;

It looks like the Castaway Cay post could make money so easily by selling stamps and then postmarking it and handing it back to the customer. :D

That way the kids don't have to wait and run to the mail box almost everyday!!!!

Back on the question side, does anyone know why it takes so long??:confused: :confused:

Living in West Palm Beach, @ 60 miles due west of the Bahamas, we could have swam faster than it took for the mail to arrive!!:D I mailed 10 postcards to various destinations through out the US and they took 6-8 weeks to arrive. My brother in Ohio got his the same day I received mine. Go figure!:rolleyes:

I don't know why the postcards take so long; but a friend went to Cancun last year and sent me a card. It took 1 day short of 4 weeks to get to Florida. I am really curious to see how long it takes from Cozumel.

:D

I was at Castaway Cay on February 21st, and the postmark was March 6th. Maybe they hold the mail until they have a quantity before they actually send them out?
