Typically, December (up until Dec 20) does not get any discounts other than the 15% Disney Club or AAA. After the 20th, rates go to holiday season and no discounts apply. :(

We have a water view at the Yacht Club, last week of August (value season), $211.95 a night including tax. This is the Fall Fantasy package which includes ultimate park hopper tickets. I had garden view room with Disney Club discount, Resort Magic Package, for $283.74 a night including tax then changed it the day Fall Fantasy came out and got a much better deal.

I booked YC waterview also with Fall Fantasy - for $211 per night which includes ultimate park hoppers, I can't see where you'd find a lower price.

I was at the YC last December, first week, with a rate of $169 for a standard view.

On the Fall fantasy deal........211 per night w/ hopper, how does that work, per family member? We have 2 adults and 1 child.

Marianne,

My rate of $211.95 a night with tax, Fall Fantasy Package, is "room only" and does not include the park tickets. For the 4 of us, all adult prices (two teen boys), the Ultimate park hoppers came to a total of $1,055 for 4 night/5days. The price of each ultimate park ticket (gets you in all 4 WDW parks, all water parks, Disney Quest and Pleasure Island) was $263.96 with tax for our length of stay. If you go to mousesavers.com, Mary has a list of all prices for the ultimate hopper passes and the cost depending on how many nights you stay.

RobinLyn:)

P.S. - I think the rate of $169 a night was GREAT, but this was a time that no one was flying or traveling because of 9/11 and vistors were few even at WDW. Not sure you will see that rate at YC/BC again this year, but you never know.

Hi marianne98,

The best rate at the YC/BC and BWI from 1998 through 2001 was $169 a night plus tax for a standard view room during value season.

But this year, 2002, the best rate seems to be $189/$190 a night plus tax for a standard view room during value season.

The different including taxes is about $22 and change a night more this year for a standard view room in value season.

I'm not quite sure how I managed it, but since my husband is a Dept. of Defense employee, I inquired through Shades of Green and was able to get a rate of $182 - tax included - for our 17-24 August stay at the Beach Club. The YC - our favorite - was not available, so we have decided to try the BC.

We were also there last September - just after the 9/11 attacks and had a rate of $187 - tax included per night, but we had booked that rate long before the attendance fell off. Great time to visit though - no crowds. We rode many rides over and over again and never had to get off. I'm sure August won't be nearly that nice.
