I have a question for you wonderful (and very knowledgeable) Disboards members! I did post this on the "resort" board as well, hoping that between the two places I might get an answer. :thumbsup2

We are staying at Pop Century for our upcoming trip. We have a 7:10 breakfast at Chef Mickey's (we have never been to CM and are looking forward to it)! We will have a car, but I do not want to have to "break down" my rental ECV, plus we would love to be able to simply get on the Monorail after breakfast and go straight into MK! :woohoo:

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to get on WDW busses, from Pop Century, and to somehow get to CM on time? I am guessing no (hoping yes), and I welcome any assistance/input/experience that you have to share! :goodvibes We are hoping to not have to cancel our ADR there, it sounds like a great breakfast!

:flower3: Thank you very much, Kim

If you get the early breakfast bus to MK, when you get to the bus station instead of heading toward MK head over to the Contemporary. The distance to the Contemporary really is not much further than from the bus stop to the MK entrance.

Thank's for the reply Cheshire! :goodvibes By the "bus station" do you mean the area right where the bus drops you off to go into the MK? We would just get off the PC bus there, and get right back into line for the Contemporary bus?

By what I could see the contemporary resort is within walking distance of the MK. I'm not sure if the MK has CR Buses as it is on the monorail.

Yes, you could either take the walkway over to the Contemporary or head to the monorail, where Contemporary is the first stop. The distance from the bus area is about an equal distance from taking either option.---Kathy

There is no bus to Contemporary from MK; it is too close (and it is on the monorail). There is a paved walkway from the Contemporary to MK; it passes right by the bus station. Take that walkway over to the Contemporary.

And as Kathy said, it is as far from the bus station to the monorail station's platform as it is from the bus station to the Contemporary door.

Ah-ha, now I can picture it! :goodvibes

Thank you for the information/clarification, I appreciate it! :flower3:

I am excited to know we can do this and really look forward to our breakfast! :thumbsup2

We did the same thing last year and it can be done :thumbsup2

We walked from MK bus stop to the Contemporary - it's really not very far and is sometimes quicker than waiting for a Contemporary monorail.

Enjoy yourselves :yay:

When we took the "breakfast bus" in April it dropped us off at the Contemporary. The driver just asked everyone where they were eating and planned his route accordingly.

When do the breakfast buses come around? Are they marked? In all of our trips, I have yet to see one and I know we will probably have to use them in December because of some of our breakfast times.

I would plan to be on the MK bus stop at POP by 6:30 am.

Just a note, when coming from the buses to the Contemporary walkway, you have to backtrack a bit. Go toward the Magic Kingdom and continually steer right, you will then do a U-Turn just before you get to the barrier across from the MK ticket windows. Then you will be on the path to the Contemporary.

Oh... OK thank you, this is great info to have! :thumbsup2

I am "copying and pasting" all the answers on here to Word, printing it, and taking it with us!

The Disboards are so awesome, you all have helped me plan and have answered so many questions, I am forever grateful! :flower3:
