Yep, I watched that and teared right up with them!!! Even though he trains at Michigan (rival college) I just adore him!! Won't fault him for going where he can train well!!!

I especially love that mom raised those kids on her own and is so involved and let them all follow their dreams!!!

I watched the women's gymnastics too.. 2 of the girls are Hoosiers. One of the little girls (she did the vault) is from the town just north of us. (about a 5minute drive!)

ETA: I too love the Olympics!!! I watch as much as I can... Also my kids know that March is mommy's basketball time..Once the NCAA tournament starts I'm glued to the tv then too!

Hey Mickster, how are you doing with your running?

I am having shin splint issues, so I have taken a little break. I miss it, so as soon as they feel better, I run and they hurt again. I just hope I'll be ok in 5 months. Keep those fingers crossed. I think I'll get new sneakers - I've read that it might help. I've been stretching (with resistance, without resistance), icing (the kids say it is time for Mom's peas and carrots!) and resting. Something has to help!:confused3

I become addicted to the Olympics. I check the website several times a day, I watch every night...I'm glad there is one only every 2 years...

I've been doing calf stretches to help with my shin spints. That and the ellipi help. The ellipi doesn't help build up the calluses on the bottom of the feet, but it stretches my legs more than walking the treadmill does. I can walk. I can't jog or run. Maybe you need to go get some fancy sports massages?

I understand that it takes time. Sigh...I am not very patient. I have been riding my bike which helps, but not like walking or running. I wish we had a pool. Then I'd swim...

So a good day with the completion of my task list.
Since I have 6 hours a day, I also made a rough goal chart of scrapbooking things I would like to catch up on w/ the kids back in school. Everything each month is do-able if I just go down and get them started!!!

Off to cook dinner and make my task list for tomorrow.. which needs to include a run to town to grab some cloud paper for the t'n't swap because I just love the prototype of one item and I'll prototype my topper tonight and it seems to be going according to plan w/ my idea.. so here is hoping it comes together!!!

I was the dog today...and got another bday giftie from a good friend...my bday has lasted 10 days!!! I really feel special :goodvibes

I got a few things done...mostally cleaning and scraping. Took DS16 for volunteer orientation at a no kill pet shelter that he has been wanting to do. I was able to stay for the whole thing, what a great place. I hope it's really rewarding for him!
