Spontanious Trip to DL!

Woohoo! I just decided today that I want to go to DisneyLand this weekend. :cool1: I managed to get someone to cover my work shift on Saturday and am going to call DVC member services tomorrow morning and see if there's any availability at the Grand Californian or the Disneyland hotel (can't stand Paradise Pier) for Friday - Sunday. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
I so need this weekend away from reality! I need to spend some time in FantasyLand! :goodvibes

Well, no DL trip for me this weekend. All three resort hotels have no DVC availability. We could pay cash for an off site property, which I may end up doing as I just really want to go. I just hate doing that when I have DVC points I have to use up by the end of next month. Plus, we love staying on site.

Oh well...we'll go another time and actually plan further ahead than 2 days! :thumbsup2

The Disneyland Half Marathon. On Sunday, August 31st. Expo and stuff for runners starting on the 29th. I'm actually on the phone with them now. They really can't waitlist me, per se. When they take their allotment of rooms, that's it at each hotel -that's it. I already have a room at the GCH, but wanted to downgrade for less points. Most people don't cancel after the 14 day mark, so I'm SOL.

That, and our party size increased, so now I'm going to have to blow more points. Dang it.

Hey - since I'm on hold with them while they call out her to CA, do you want me to double check this weekend for you when they get back on the line?

It might be extra full this weekend with all of the Eastbound Repo Magic cruisers staying there. Lot's and lot's of people are flying in to bring the Magic home to FL.
