How do you get the podcast to download straight to the ipod through wi-fi?

I don't think you can sorry. The iTunes on the iPod touch and iPhone doesnt have podcasts available for download.
You can however listen to them streaming direct through the podcast mp3 download, however this is literally just listening to it, not downloading it :)

Podcast downloading is something that NEEDS to be possible out of the box! I'm sure it would just require a simple upgrade on the ipod touch.

I completely agree! If you can download songs in 15 seconds or less, why not be able to download a podcast in a minute or so?? :confused3

It also needs to allow 3g downloading rather than just wifi :)

i don't see the problem with downloading it onto a computer and then uploading it onto the ipod.....one extra step...not a big deal.....
