I am packing slowly as we speak and have been diligently reading posts about driving down and crossing the border. We are crossing at Fort Erie and travelling down thru Pennyslvania, West Virginia, Virginia, South Carolina etc.
Any tips for the drive ? Anything to look out for etc.
I know i am going to forget something, what is the one thing you have forgotten?

Hi Micheme!
Another Canadian on their way to WDW! Boy there will be lots of green ribbons around the parks! I know that feeling of anticipation and the countdown until you leave!:bounce:
I hope you all have a safe and relaxing vacation and please make sure you let us know about the drive down as we're looking at all aspects of driving versus flying and would love to hear from you as that's the route we were thinking of taking too!:)
Have a blast!

We leave soon too! Have a wonderful magical trip!
I worry about forgetting stuff at home too. Mainly the important things like tickets and money. I don't worry stuff I can replace, like toothpaste or underwear. My cousine emailed this week saying he forget his 7 DHP at home and his ds had to mail them to him. That's the type of stuff I worry about, or losing things.
The drive should be very nice ~ great time of year! It's HOT in WDW this week! We will be in WDW next week.
There seems to be lots of us Canadians heading down this year. HAVE A BLAST! Sandra

OK all you Canadians I am going out to buy a Super 7 ticket for tonights 17.5 million $draw. If I win I'll see you at the MK on Sunday morning. LOL! Driving down that route we usually make Wyethville our half way point. Lots of good and inexpensive hotels and dining at that exit and it is right on the highway! Have fun all you Canucks!!!!!

By dirving, anything you forget you can pick up along the way. Remember mosquito repellent, extra batteries, and don't overpack. You never end up wearing half your clothes.

WOW ... that makes 3 of us winning that jackpot tonight ! And we too, will be in MK just as soon as we can if that's the case ! And I would never have to "convert" the prices to Can$ to see if it's too much money to spend ever again (lol). I try not to do too much converting now as it is, but boy when that Visa bill comes in and you see it in black and white ... OUCH !
Have a great trip, Micheme !

Have fun Micheme...it's snowing here today...wish we were leaving soon (my neighbour left yesterday & just e-mailed me - it was 34 degrees when they arrived yesterday).
Have fun & hopefully by the time you come home, it will be summer. :)

I hope you have a wonderful trip, Micheme. We have been driving down as well. It's a long drive, just make sure that you stop for frequent little breaks to stretch your legs and breath some fresh air, as well as the meal breaks. It makes all the difference! :)
