Today is the first time I've felt like canceling...
As some of you are aware, my son is unwell and we have to get his meds to our hotel..
We use Homeward who supply all our medical equipment through the NHS.
We were originally told that they would need our passport copies, Letter from the doctor and copies of our flight tickets..
Today they have told me that they need the social security details and name of someone at the Hard rock who is willing to sign for the meds...
There is noway anyone is going to give up these details for me, especially when they have never met me. I have rang the hotel and they seemed perplexed.
On top of problems with getting my tickets so I can get them copied and now this today is the first time I have thought, is it all worth it?

have you visited the disboards disability board? they might have some ideas....

Another problem is we have a letter detailing his meds, and they have just been changed, so we have to get another letter organised.
I am still in shock that Homeward seriously need the social security number of someone willing to accept the delivery. That won't happen in a month of Sundays.

Oh Kevin,i am so sorry with this latest hurdle you have to get over.I really hope someone from the Hard Rock is willing to do this for you.Although there social security number is pushing it.Please keep us informed of this.
And YES of course it is worth it,you will all have a lovely time-deep down you know this,what you're thinking now is spur of the moment/off the top of your head.I have been wondering where you have been,you have'nt been on for a few days now.Take care+Good luck.x.

don't give up :hug: are you able to have the items sent to a local medical centre for collection? you might need to do a bit of research and pay a few dollars for the service but it might be worth it?

Oh no - its not a disaster - just another step on the way to the house of the mouse.
Its difficult enough planning etc without all the extras, but when your starting level includes all the extra requirements, you just have to dig deeper and think it'll be more worthwhile when you get there.
Can your consutlant/doctor not help?
I'm sure you'll get it sorted - lots of pixie dust coming your way:wizard:

Forgive me if I'm being particularly thick but can you not take the meds yourself?
If we're talking bags of feeding formula I see the problem so ignore my suggestion :goodvibes
Can they be delivered elsewhere?
A local hospital or something, rather than the hotel? :confused3
There has to be a way.
Maybe try contacting one of the organisations that arrange 'magical' trips for children to see what they do :flower3:

Nice one, there are good people out there Kevin.
We all sympathise and whilst my situation is not the same with Joshua's 'special needs' it does make life very hard sometimes and there are so many things to take into account. Holiday's are never 'straight-forward'.

As some of you know Daniel has to be fed through a feeding tube, now I had an email from the manager at the HRH yesterday explaining that one of his managers has a son with exactly the same condition and he see's the stress he is under everyday and they wanted to help us.
