Could you post a link to where this is on the DVC Member website. if you can't post a direct link then post instructions on where to click to get to the page.

I don't think I'd like to be inputting my details and member ID on the URL above, there is no proof that it is genuine, it redirects to a different website etc etc.

All over sudden I wish I had gone with the 7 day premium hopper with non expiry option instead of the 14 day ultimate ticket. We are flying in from the UK that day as we are going on a DCL cruise the next day. Unfortunately if I use the first day of my pass on August 31st then my pass would expire three days into my actual stay at WDW.

Mem,

I think all the sessions are filled. Yesterday when I signed up, there were time slot choices that you had to select, then you were prompted to enter all your info in. My guess is that you're not seeing the rest of the fields to fill in because the slots are no longer available. :confused3

I have a question about our "reservation" for the tour. I booked for 5 people but there was only room for specific information on four guests? There appears to be a 5 at the top of my confirmation letter, I'm assuming that is my party size. But for the page asking for guest info it started at "2nd guest" and went up to "4th guest" there was no where to put my last guest???:confused3

I agree ... when I was calling and frantically looking for a studio so I could take the tour there were no rooms available anywhere for the 31st (except for the last studio that I got at SSR :cool1: ) When I mentioned that it was probaly because so many members wanted to take the Castle Suite Tour the CM I was speaking to had no idea what I was talking about! :confused3 Since then I have called MS a few times to update things on my reservation ... Magical Express, Building Request, etc. and none of the CMs I have spoken with know about the tour!

I thought there were 30 through per hour (20 minutes slots of 10)...so that would be 450 guests divided out through 45 members.
And I'm not one of them even though I'm already on vacation there and already have a party to tour with me as opposed to booking 5 and then hoping I can get a room and/or find someone to go with me :sad2: I couldn't do a 3 am booking.

Wow, I guess I should apologize because I think that I am the member that you are referring to. I didn't realize that I had done something wrong.

When I first found out about the tour I instantly knew that I had to find a way to go. It was too late in the day to call MS about a room, but I found a flight for my family of 5, which I put on a 24 hour hold, and then I looked online to see what rooms were available through WDW and what the cost would be. ONLY THEN did I get on the site and book the Castle Suite Tour for MY FAMILY OF 5.

Hubby got home from work and I told him about our last minute trip. Unfortunately, he could not take leave from work but volunteered to stay home with our 2 older kids over the weekend and Labor Day. They can both go to a neighbor's for the final day of my trip. I asked both my sisters to join me, no luck. I asked a couple of friends, no luck. So it became a quick trip for me and baby and I bought our airline tickets.

The next morning I called MS at 8:00am and got my room, when I asked about taking some people off my Castle Suite Tour, the CM didn't know anything about it or how to help me. Later that day I came to the Dis and found a few members to offer the slots to.

I apologize again if I did something wrong and I am sorry if I and/or Disney made you bitter.

I hope that you and your family have a wonderful trip.

Jennie's right on this. When I signed my family up for this tour, I put in for 4. When it came to #3 and #4, I put in my children's names, but there was no category for infants, only for adults and children 3-9. Mine, as you can see from my siggy, are 2 and 1.

I have called MS twice and WDW tours once to find out what to do. I didn't know if my kids were supposed to count toward the head count or not and I DEFINITELY didn't want to take this away from anyone else.

1st call (MS) - had NO CLUE about this tour

2nd call (WDW tours) - had nothing to do with this tour, but said to keep my infants listed as children

3rd call (MS) - knew about tour. She said that it was full and closed. I told her the situation and after 15 min on hold, she came back, after talking to everyone she could, and told me that my infants would probably need to be listed as part of a head count. Even if this was not the case, that they would not reopen the lines for 2 people.

My DS (2 year-old) will be walking in the tour, but my other DS will be carried. I've already PM'd a member to talk to them about meeting us at specified time to see if they can get in with us. I don't know if it will happen or not, and hate to get anybody's hopes up, but it's worth a shot.

I just want to thank the OP once again. If it hadn't been for you, so many of us wouldn't have gotten the opportunity to do this. Thank you!!!:goodvibes

I say never apologize, everything happens for a reason. When you want something go for it. DH booked us a time slot at 1am on 9/1. It was not until after he booked the tour did he realize we don't get to WDW until 10 pm 9/1 well I was not going to let a once in a lifetime opportunity pass us by I got a studio for 1 at SSR before moving to BCV for 13 nights and changed our flight with jet blue using a credit and paid only $80 to go the night before... I am excited for us and all the members who get this chance and hope you and your family have a great time, and just thin of the magic you are creating for those Dis Boarders who without you would not have the opportunity to go at all. :wizard:

I saw the information on AllEars late that night and was only able to get a ressie for 2. I imagine that I was close to the last one to get it because it is for 3:40 am. Problem is that I had to decide if I should take my DD4 and go down for the weekend or give the tour to my parents who always made sure to take my brother and I every summer for a family vacation to Disney World. So, as most of you can imagine, my DD4 and I will be enjoying their pictures when they return. I am a bit jealous but can only hope that they will offer this at another time. I can't wait to hear all about it. Congrats to all the others that will be enjoying this. It is like winning the YOAMD's contest and not even being in the park. :dance3:

I was on the member site yesterday because I needed to call up and book for next July, and it seems that the link is totally gone now from the News section. Maybe it's moved, but I couldn't find it. I thought that was sort of odd, considering older articles are still up there. :confused3

Maybe they just didn't want to get anyone else excited now that the slots are totally filled up, so they removed it completely.

Now that I have given my 2 ressies away to my parents (could only get 2, not 4), the jealousy is getting very bad. If anyone decides to cancel and would be willing to give up their spots to 2 very sad DVC members, I would forever be grateful. Pixie dust :tinker:

My parents just got back last night from doing the tour. In fact, they went to the check in at opening and asked if there were cancellations in any of the groups so that they could go sooner (longer story than that but I will leave it at that) and the two of them were actually given a private tour. They said that it was amazing and they are so glad that they were able to do it. The only thing that they said was interesting was that the room was smaller than it has looked in pictures. They were told that it is only 900 square feet. I will try to download their pictures and attach some but I have never done that before. I wish that it had been me but I will just have to live through their pictures.

We did the tour last night and it was awesome. We were on the 6:40 tour and checked in right outside the Liberty Square bridge restaurant with 2 DVC guides seated near the tables. They gave us little stickers and took us to the castle near the entrance to CRT. We were led behind a big blue door, where we went to a smaller door on the left. There was a small lobby where the concierge sits and an elevator. We were led up to the suite on the elevator by a concierge named Michael. He told us about each design in the elevator and how basically everything in the suite was planned with lots of details. We had another concierge named Michael (yes 2 Michaels) tell us about the actual suite. As the previous poster said, the room is much smaller than what it appears on the commercials. There are 2 queen beds and then a sitting room that has a fold out couch. There are 2 tv's which at first look like a mirror/picture. He showed us how to turn them on and that they have the same channels as all the other resorts. They can also pipe in the Wishes music straight inside. There are windows in the suite that he said tell the story of Cinderella. He said they are alarmed and if they are bumped or someone tries to open them, an alarm goes straight to 911 to report it. He showed us how an armoire type wall unit hides a refrigerator stocked with sodas and water and a dvd player. Michael said that guests get robes 4 inches thick to wear and can ask them for anything. I asked him what the weirdest request he got was and he stated some college age guys asked for a top hat with motor oil and an apple rapped in tin foil. He told them sure, but why and they said just because they wanted to see if he'd get it. He said the most common thing people want is pizza. They told us that the room will never be sold/rented and will always be a prize given out somehow.

Michael also showed us how the fireplace turned on with a remote and had fireworks bursting in it and how what appeared to be books on the mantle were speakers. There were large concrete colums near the bed with very beautifully carved images of Cinderella's mice sewing her dress. The floor's tile had glitter in it.

The toilet really had a throne top and the shower had a ton of shower heads. There was a glass slipper towel design made. There is a jacuzzi tub and all of the products they had were H20 like on DCL/the resorts, only bigger and more of them.

We were in there for about 10 to 15 minutes. I took lots of pictures but will have to wait to upload them sometime tomorrow.

We were there at 1:20PM and it was really special. My 3 y/o daughter thinks she sat on Cinderella's bed and has told everyone she saw for the rest of the day.

Our concierge told us that many people wait until the park is empty, then put their robes on to take pictures in front of the castle. Sounds like a very original family photo! :)

We also took lots of pics, but won't be able to upload until later tonight.

I'm off to DHS with the family including my wife's two grandmothers...both in their mid 80's. They are having a blast! :thumbsup2

By the way, crowds at MK yesterday will very low. We waited less than 10 minutes for everything, including walking on to splash mountain and thunder mountain.

Here are the pictures we took during our castle tour:http://s208.photobucket.com/albums/bb91/Romanoff1996/Castle%20Suite/

The battery on my smaller digital was totally dead after a few pictures (I let ds7 take parade pictures earlier and he left it on) so I had only my long lense/Nikon camera to use for most of the tour. I had to step as far back as I could to get the shots.

I too have lots of photos, if I see anything that is missing from the previous poster I will add it a little later today.

It was great hearing our guide Debbie say that there are 60,000 cast members who will never see that suite and we did! I will agree with other posters that I was surprised how small it really is, but still very nice!

We had the 1 pm tour with another couple who were on there anniversary also dissers, hello out there!!!

It was beautiful, attention to detail and a hidden mickey!!! I too took tons of pics, I just wanted to put on the robes and get into that bed!!!!

I consider myself very lucky. The DVC guide said that each year they are given one evening in the suite, last year they had the sweepstakes, this year they wanted to try to have many members enjoy it, we were definately in the right place at the right time.

We were speaking to a DVC guide near Space Mountain after our tour (she was going herself at 10:40) and she said the suite tours booked so fast and were so popular with everyone wanting to do it that they were definitely considering doing it again. We ran into a dream squad member at Epcot and she said she was only in the suite once for 2 minutes so we were definitely fortunate to have had the opportunity to tour it.

Cool! I was there during that tour also. How did our tour of 5 end up being 7 anyway? Did you catch Michael had a hard time turning on the spa lights like it was his first try "in the dark"? I'm sure that was the upteeneth time that day for him.

I also think the suite was smaller than I thought it would be. Very nicely furnished but still small. It was indeed cool to see and was thrilled that it happened during my visit.

Some of the fun tidbits I learned on the tour...

1. There is a grandfather clock in the foyer before the elevator that is stopped at 11:59 -- that way the magic is still in place for everyone and the spell hasn't been broken.

2. The interior of the private elevator was designed to match the interior of Cinderella's coach.

3. Her glass slipper, size 7 1/2, is on display in the upper foyer along with her crown and a beautiful pumpkin.

4. There is a beautiful mosaic of Cinderella's coach, similar to the ones in the pass through of the castle, on the floor of the upper foyer.

5. The story of Cinderella is shown through scenes in the stained glass windows and carvings around the suite.

6. Fresh flowers are delivered to the suite 3 times a week.

7. Out of 60,000+ CMs, 24 were chosen to be Concierge CMs for the suite ... a very select group!

8. The fireplace also has a "fireworks" show in it, which includes a hidden Mickey.

9. The music from Wishes and SpectroMagic are played in the suite.

10. The sunken tub has colorful lights in the bottom and a stary sky above.

It was absolutely GORGEOUS!! princess:

Anyone else?

Yes, So far no one with a Service animal has won the suite.
(Technically the suite is considered same as a hotel room and must be ADA acceptable)

There is also a possible hidden mickey in the sunken tub.

Our 7:00 tour learned that there is a secret door on the opposite side of the foyer at the entrance to the suite.

Our CM asked one of the children on the tour to knock on the door to see if Cinderella was ready. Each time the child knocked on the door she stepped back and waited. Nothing happened. Our CM was visibly concerned that no one was opening the door.

Finally the CM said "knock louder". The child knocked loudly and stepped back. At that time another door behind the child opened and struck her in the back, startling all of us.

It seems that the door conceals the stairway entrance used by the CMs to get from the 1st floor to the suite. 7:00 was shift change and the now very embarrassed CM who was to answer the door was a bit late reporting for duty.

We also were surprised at how small the suite was. It was lavish but small.

There is an exclusive towel creation to the suite. In the bathroom, at the dressing table was a towel shaped into a pillow with a slipper on it. It was totally cool! Our guide told us it is only done for that suite! The flower arrangements were just beautiful! It really was spectacular. Pictures just don't do it justice but if any of mine come out well, I will post them.

Hey everyone!

I thought I'd pop in and share some of our pictures, since we had a magical time too! I agree - the suite was smaller than I expected, but it was still amazing. I could've spent hours in there (at least!) exploring and taking pictures. There are so many nooks, crannies, and details...it was beautiful. My sister actually got to go up in the afternoon while my time was later in the evening, so we got pictures from both times of the day. Obviously, this didn't make much of a difference, except in the sitting room, but it was still a neat experience.

Hope you enjoy the pics - granted, some of them aren't great (it's a lot of pressure to capture the moment and actually experience it at the same time!) but it certainly was a dream come true!

Edit: Just a warning, I just checked the link and the photos are somewhat out of order...sorry for any confusion. If you have questions just ask...I can't figure out how to move them around on photobucket! :)
