...07.03.09!!
The date it all ends, as confirmed by the Autumn/Winter 2008/09 official brochure is the 7th March 2009.
Will be interesting to see what plans DLRP have for 2009.
(However that does leave another 7 months!!!)

Could be a mini-moon- A new trend! Going away before you get married. Having said that it's only meant to be a couple of weeks before your wedding. I think a year is stretching it a little bit!

I agree. I think they will keep the parade and the Characters Express and possibly a new show on Central Plaza. Would imagine that they will keep EMH too.

Mickey's Magical Party
Mickey and his friends are throwing a gigantic party all over the resort. Join along in the succeeder to the 15th Anniversary Celebration.
Early rumours about Mickey's Magical Party features:
DISNEYLAND PARK
» New stage with 3 satellite stages on Central Plaza.
» Daily show on the new Central Plaza Stage featuring characters, dancers and puppeteers.
» Disney Characters' Express repainted.
» Small show in Discoveryland.
» New (but mostly recycled) decorations on Le Chateau de la Belle au Bois Dormant.
» New decorations on Main Street, U.S.A.
WALT DISNEY STUDIOS PARK
» Playhouse Disney Live on Stage (confirmed).
» Disney Stars and Cars Event (confirmed).
The theme for the year seems to be very modern, not nostalgic at all. The focus is on a "party", but not really a birthday celebration. Think Toon Circus meets Kids' Carnival

Wow this all looks fab :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes glad we were already planning to go back again in June next year ;)
I'm sure they're going to continue with EMH.
Do you think they will put on another kids go free type offer?

Personally, I think they will. They seem to always have a free childs offer of some sort on when I look at booking.
What they could do with doing is a single parent offer. A mate of mine wants to take his daughter with him to DLRP but ends up getting quoted more than the wife and I as he is a single parent!

I think that is due to the single supplement, as for kids under 7 to go free you only need a paying adult. It might be worthwhile for you friend to see if there are any holiday companies that don't charge a single supplement.
As much as I really enjoyed the 15th Anniversary celebrations, i'm looking forward to the change.
Its going to be interesting to see if they follow through with the plans for the Village. When they restructured finacially a couple of years back. the plan was to have a new ride in the MK & 3 new rides in the Studios & come 2009 the Village would have a revamp with a chinese restaurant & the Sports bar become the ESPN Lounge.

From what i have read it all sounds interesting and I may be tempted to go whilst this is on theres def going to be somethings added to keep the momentum but i cant imagine that it will be anything too big like 15th Anniversary additions. But i have heard very interesting rumours about the 20th Anniversary which should be 2012, and i will def be going during that.

I'd happily avoid being in London in 2012 - hate the thought of London being more crowded than it is now and all the prices going up for the Games. Honestly, I never wanted London to host the Olympics:scared1:
So DLRP here we come!!!
OMG, just counted... In 2012 Mia will be 10!!! Another very good excuse to have a little celebration:love:

It's great to hear about what will be going on next year. Since I'm in the comfortable position of not having to plan but just go , I'm sure I'll be there a lot.
However, I'm already brewing on an idea to celebrate my 30th :scared: birthday there next year. It'll be on a Sunday, so I plan on stuffing my car and my borther's car and maybe a third company car with friends, leaving around 7am in Brussels, driving to DLRP, having brunch at the Steakhouse (with characters!), having some fun at the Village and then driving back home.
It should be fun, give a Disney-experience without having to buy everyone passes for the day!
For my 25th birthday, I had breakfast at Cafe Mickey with my mom. I literally faced death, because I had my thrombosis and wasn't even supposed to leave the house, but I went 3 days to Disney anyway. It made me not kill myself because of the depression and allergies (to the drugs) I had.

Sad time, Sandra. Glad you're still here with us.
2012...... my son will be approaching 20 :scared: Seems to be a good enough excuse for another visit.

I can't say I've ever really wanted kids (Apart from when I was 3 and wanted ten....).... Robert's mother can't stand this fact and says we're being selfish... :confused3 I would much rather have a puppy....
I like to sort of, "borrow" kids, take them for a fun day out, then give them back so the parents do all the actual work... Lol!!
