OT - Propane Explosion in Toronto

Anyone feel it - see it??

I was so freaked out last night. I happened to be awake watching the olympics and the whole house starting shaking and my water bottle even fell off my table. I saw one of the big explosions and then after that the sky was just filled with black smoke

Luckily I'm not close enough for evacuation or anything (and my thoughts are with anyone who has) But very scary. :sad1:

I saw that on the news. I am not close by but I heard they closed the 401 down:scared1: People that lived close said that they were ejected from their beds while they slept by the force!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I too hope everyone is okay!!!

I didn't feel anything, but have listened to the news all day.
My heart broke at the news that a firefighter died at the scene.

I hope everyone is safe and okay.....my prayers are going to the family of the firefighter...I also hope they find the person that is unaccounted for!

Has anyone heard of why it happened?

I am in the "safety" business, and I can only think of what procedure was not followed properly that caused this horrible explosion. Or what was overlooked (could have been even a faulty valve, damaged tank, etc)

I cannot stop thinking of all the people affected by this, and to the families whose lives have been changed forever.
