This is for anyone interested in how slow the Bahama's mail service is...We sent ourselves a postcard from Castaway Cay on March 27th. (We wanted to remind ourselves of how much we enjoyed the trip). We just got it in the mail yesterday, April 16th...almost 3 weeks. It was a lot of fun sending it and finally getting it back, some of you might enjoy it too!! We wish we were back there now. :(

I had the same experience from St. Marten. Very Slow. People eventually got the postcards.

We sent a bunch of postcards from CC...ones to Canada took 3-4 weeks.

The postcards to Virginia took 2 months!

I think when the mail leaves the island, they're thrown overboard in bottles and the one to Virginia just caught a rogue current!

LOL!

We were wondering what happened to Castaway Cay mail too!!! Hope to see it soon!!!

Gee I "wonder" if it would be simpler to go to the post office, buy the stamp, get it postmarked and bring it back on the ship with you??? LOL :D

I wonder if they would let us do that? It sure sounds like a fine idea to me! Mine took over 3 weeks to Idaho and FOUR weeks to Florida from CC!

I had gone to the US Post office in St. Thomas to get stamps and mail, and i have yet to recieve these cards. This is one thing i thought Disney could improve on. Other cruise lines sell the postage at guest services and have a drop off for the post cards in the guest services area. When i had asked about this in January, i was told by guest services that they did not provide this to cruisers.
