Hello,

We are planning a July 09 trip and are looking into the DXddp. We were on the reg ddp in 07 and didn't do any signature rests. We did do Lecelier, thought the steak there was very good, we also did concourse steakhouse and hated the steak, which was very tiny. How are the steaks at yachtsman? Are they decent sized portions? Is it worth the 2 credits?

They are decent portions, but the quality seems hit or miss. I have been 4 times. Twice the steaks were excellent, once fair, and once poor.

Would you say it is worth the 2 credits?

me I would say it is worth the two credits. The steak was delicious, I can't remeber what i had for a side and dessert, it has been 3 yrs but I bet it is still good. the wait staff was very attentive, the abiance (SP was wonderful, I think you will enjoy it. As far as the serving size it was enough for all 5' of me :rotfl:

I would say it is worth the 2 credits. The times we had excellent steaks it was great, but it is a little roll of the dice.

I'll chime in as the dissenting vote here, only because I haven't found any of the signature restaurants to be worth 2 TS credits. Our meal there last year was excellent, by the way, and we had no problems at all with the portion size, food quality, or service. I've done the math, based on how we 'value' the new DDP, and it just doesn't work out for us to burn 2 TS credits anywhere at WDW. Under the old plan, it was a toss up, but with the DDP changes now in place, it just doesn't add up, IMHO.

Still, it was a very good meal. Not knocking the place at all, just chiming in on the use of the 2 TS credits.

thanks for the replies. We are going to try the deluxe possibly and just wanted to try some new things. We love steak, I just didn't want to have a piece the size of a deck of cards set in front of me like at the concourse.:lmao:

Signature (2 credit) restaurants are mostly the only places to get a great meal in WDW anymore. You may not get "value" , but you are likely to receive a memorable dinner.
