From reading some of the trip reports on here, the film is dubbed in french and you have to use headphones to hear it in english, but due to the noise its hard to hear the film in english??

When I last went in 2006 the film was in english and you had to sit at the back where there was a section with headphones to listen in french, german etc.

Has this changed now or do you have to watch HISTA at specific times to get the english version ?:confused3

Everytime we've been to see it its been in French with headphones to listen to in the back sections. They've always said that that particular show will be in French as if saying others are in English but Ive never seen anything anywhere which says what times English ones are so I think they are all now in French

From what I remember we had to go in the back set of doors and then put on headphones for the english.

Oh well I did see HISTA in Jan at Epcot, so its not too much of a big deal to miss this....although I do like laughing at bf when he thinks the lion is really attacking him!:rotfl2:

Its worth seeing just try and get the headphones as tight as possible against your ears even if it means holding them at one side and pressing against your ear.

I was disappointed with this one last month. Hasn't aged well at all. But then I think that whole area of Discoveryland seems to have been left to rot....a real let down :(

The one area that I just can't feel the magic in.

:scared1: :scared1: Discoveryland was my favourite land!!! Not been to DLRP since 2006 so I hope its not aged loads in the last two years!

I value you it even more now since I went to Florida - I didnt think much of Tomorrowland at all!

Discoveryland is amazing, and looks good..until, you go behind Space Mountain.

Buzz Lightyears pizza planet is just embarrasingly bad! It could be SO good, but is just awful! I was also really shocked to see how the bit after Star Tours that used to be reall good fun is now some grubby games arcade - what a shame!

Wouldn't worry too much Rena123 - the area does look a bit 'unloved' perhaps, and seems strangely empty - as if its missing something, but the attractions are still worth it.

I am SURE we have seen HISTA in English, but even if its not then its good with the headphones (do hold them tight against your head though). Star Tours is great fun, just ignore the rather sad arcade at the end.

discoveryland has a lot to recommend it still. Its not my favourite land, but its still definitely good. Lion King show, Buzz, Space Mountain, its all jolly good fun.

I'm reall sorry if I've upset you rena - discoveryland is one of the best looking lands from the entrance of it - you wont be dissappointed, honest. Just there needs to be more towards the back.

Someone posted a while back about how originally it was going to be covered over, this would work great at the back, like a 1900s 'future' town, so you didnt notice BLPP was a metal shack out the back, and even with the train coming through and stopping indoors, would be awesome, :)

Waste of time in my opinion. Loved Captain EO and wish they would bring it back!

I completely agree with you on this. This area was a real let down for us. Lets hope it will be the next area to be refurbished and we'll see some excitement soon.

I'd agree with this, especially the Pizza Planet restaurant. I really hope they give it a touch of pixiedust: before they move the tea party there in November, otherwise the tea party is going to be ruined in my opinion.

I seem to remember it's being moved there from the 7th (i.e. from the start of the Christmas season I guess)

Im not sure if anyone has posted similar but im at work and not got time to read through the thread....anyways

on our last 3-4 trips HISTA has been in english......they have all been very early in the day too so not sure if they maybe alternate the languages or something. Its funny seeing almost everyone except our group with the headphones on for a change.

Hista is designed for them to take account of guest flow and switch the languages. so if there are mainly French it is supposed to be in french. But if there are a large number of British and non French bookings, then it is supposed to be in English.

I remember them trying a test a few years ago of it in English in the morning and French in the afternoon.
