:flower3: That just stinks Debbie!
Why couldn't this happen when it was cold enough to just keep the things outside?
Today I don't have a vent.
We are going to Lexington to pick up Eldest.
Haven't seen him for two weeks.

2 hours each way.
My Little Bit really misses his brother. I know these are the only grandchildren my ILs will ever have and that the time they spend together is important, but oh my I miss them when they are gone.

My vent is for yesterday. New carpet being installed in lab i'm responsible for. COntracter started taking old carpet up - oops - cracked tiles = asbestos. Room now sealed waiting abatement.
Day got worse - took cat to vet as she was acting odd and she had to be put to sleep - kidney's were shutting down. One day she seemed fine and the next... She was 13 and really my daughter's cat but she had been with me since dd went to college in 1999, so she was my cat. She wasnt' an overly affectionate cat but I was fond of her so yesterday sucked!
On the other hand, people several miles away were hit by a tornado and lost homes and businesses, and some friends of mine haven't had electricity since Monday night. We weren't touched other than lots of wind, rain and branches in our yard.
Today - starting over again and hoping for a good day!

My vent for today is that I just got back from the doctors and he says I have pink eye. ARRRGGHHH. Never had it and boy does it suck. And I'm not fond of putting anything in my eye, but now I have these thick eye drops that I have to put in every 3 hours for seven days. But I'll be sure to do it if it'll make me feel better.

:confused3 Adults get pink eye?
Dang, that stinks to know. I never really worried about me getting when the boys would bring it home. Now I have something else to fret over. My DH will NOT thank you. :rotfl2:
The medicine does make it feel better fast. After one day on the medicine the boys can go back to school.

Yes, adults do get pink eye, and it sucks! I get it all the time, unfortunatly. Seems that my lids open at night...gross...and if the sheet hits I can get a scratch...top that off with a bit of dry eye, and you get the perfect environment.
The drops work great though! By tomorrow you will feel much better. The easiest way to get the drops in, is pull out the bottom lid, and drop in the cup there...just FYI, incase you didn't try that...

I just had to update...I have a new vent... I was rear-ended on the way into work today. I had to follow her as she was leaving the scene (even though she was saying she wasn't, the accident happened on the main road, and I caught up with her turning in a parking lot), and then the cop gave me attitude, and to top it off I was 2 hrs late for work...
OK, vent over...but GRRRRRRRRR!!!

The cop gave YOU attitude? She was the one leaving the scene.
Hopefully she had decent insurance.

I wish I was kidding! The cop was mad because I got her yelled at by the dispatcher (I heard him ripping into her). But I ask you, when a cop pulls up, don't they get out of the vehicle? We were waiting by our cars (outside), and she pulled in the lot, made eye contact, and never got out of her car, just was typing on her puter. Then a new accident happened, and off she went. So, after 20min I called the dispatcher again, and I heard him yelling at her. He couldn't believe that she didn't talk to us, I think she reported that we weren't there or something... So I asked him if she should have gotten out and he said yes... So that is what she is yelling at me about...my not approching her window...yeesh...
Anyway, Tomorrow, I will be the dog, because these hydrant days stink!!!

tomorrow you can be the dog! for sure!!!
Vanyel, I am so sorry about your kitty. Losing a pet is so hard.
