Hey Everyone: I figured what better way to celebrate the start of the Olympics than with a trip to IHoP. You know what a fan I am of IHoP ;) . Plus, IHoP always makes me think of the DIS now. And it's kids eat free night too - so I'm goin'!

I have discovered that all IHops are NOT created equal! There is a brand new one near my home which we LOVE. I've been to a few in CA that were great and one in VA that was nice. However, I was just in one in FT. Lauderdale, FL that was disgusting! That's actually being nice. It smelled like urine and was absolutely filthy. In this case I think it's safe to judge a book by it's cover, or an IHop by it's exterior!

IHOP - now you're talking my language! :thumbsup2 We have a great one just a couple of miles from our house and it has become our family tradition to go there every Monday night for dinner! Grandma watches DS on Mondays when me and DH work, and our family dinner has migrated to the local IHOP on that night (our family dinner night has been a time-honored tradition in my family since I was like a baby, but that is another story). We've gotten to be such regulars we know pretty much all the staff, have a designated table, are like old family friends with the Mgr who used to be our designated server, and occasionally get our own menus and seat ourselves when they are busy.
I agree with poster that said that not all IHOPs are created equal though - there is one across town that I wouldn't go to if it was the only open restaurant in that area that day, so we stick with "ours". Love breakfast for supper... Mmmmm...pancakes, omlettes, french toast...mmm...
