Transportation impact from WLV

Have the WL Villas negatively impacted the transportation at the WL? I know people have had bad experiences.

Quite honestly, a November stay in '99 for the Millenium Celebration found the service to be fine for our family. We waited the longest for a boat to MK.

The Villas were only under construction then. I just wondered if WL vacationers found the buses way more crowded.

Have stayed in the villas 3 times over the last year or so - twice at Christmas. The transportation has been excellent - by both boat and bus. The buses have not been crowded on the way to the parks. Crowds on the way back to the resort depend on the time you leave the park - buses after Fantasmic and Illuminations are always crazy regardless of the resort. We were absolutely delighted with the transportation this past December. No worries!

We stayed at the WL villas last January. I was worried because of things I had read about trans problems. We were so happy with the transportation that we wondered what all the fuss was about. We thought the boat ride to the MK was actually more convenient than the monorail ride from the Poly (no stops and less waiting). January is a slow time though, so maybe we were just lucky.

Transportation system has changed as of this month. Still boat to MK. Used to be busses to other parks shared with Poly and GF and they could get pretty full, not because of the villas but because they served three resorts, particularly at any busy time of day. Now busses are shared with FW and no other. Should be an improvement. In fact WL is apparently being given bus trip time advantage -- bus goes from FW to WL to a park and coming back it goes park to WL to FW, meaning it is a direct run from WL to a park and from the park to WL.
