You're welcome tink,too. Be sure to take advantage of the walkway to Marketplace, or enjoy the boat ride over. And you can also take the boat to Marketplace then hop the boat to Port Orleans French Quarter - a great boat ride and lovely resort to visit and walk through too. The connectivity to Downtoan Disney and four other resorts via boat and walkways is what makes Saratoga nice...and the big, sprawling grounds usually result in plenty of peace and quiet and plenty of places to walk around and enjoy the scenery.

It is really a great resort. We had a lot going on this past June for our first trip home, so we hardly took any pictures of the resort. I am going back in December and will take many, many more - plus I will get the Christmas shots and decorated rooms/balconies!

Thanks for the great photos. I've met a good friend on the Dis here and she has urged me to try the Saratoga Springs. After looking at these pictures, I just may have to do a split stay with the CSR on our visit next September.

SSR has really "grown" on us. We've stayed there the last several WDW visits and love it. We originally stayed there for our NON Disney trip a few summers ago but have really gotten to love it for our regular Disney visits.

IF there's any negative the only one I can think of is that we don't love the bus transportation but since we drive up from here we do have our car so we do use the car a lot.

We find the grounds and the accommodations very cozy. Mousekeeping is great. We also like the main pool area and I love the work-out facilities when I have a chance to use them.:thumbsup2 When it's cooler out, I love being able to do my morning run through the resort and then across through DTD. It's really a nice perk having DTD across the way. The boat ride over there is fun as well.

We just returned from our trip to SSR...You will love it. The layout of the buildings creates nice quiet relaxing place to take a scroll or play a round of golf.

Beautiful pictures. I am torn and maybe you all can help. We will be going Dec. 25-Jan. 2 and I can either stay at a 1 BR Villa at SSR or a regular room in the Garden Wing (not main tower) at the Contemporary. I am afraid with the crowds the monorail will be the way to go, but being a horse girl, and loving the look of SSR, I'm not sure what to do now? I'm afraid to rely mainly on the buses during such a crazy busy week there. Can you help?

There are small drawing easels on various tables around AP. Kids (or kids at heart!) can draw a picture on them and hang them in the entry way to AP. It was always fun to see what the "featured art" was each time we walked into AP.

This is our home resort and we've stayed here 3 times. It's beautiful and I can't say enough about it. I love the gym a lot. We like to stay in the Paddock and walk accross the bridge to the main building with the big pool and community center.

We leave in 1 day and these pictures are making me so homesick. Can't wait to get there.

I wasn't too fond of the HIKE from Congress Park to the Carriage House (esp since a couple days I ended up doing it several times!), but if you are aware of that and prepare for it (and the weather will be warmer!), it's not so bad. :thumbsup2

Just got back from SSR the resort was very beautiful! The only thing i have to complain about is that the pullout bed was as hard as a ROCK! and they only gave you a sheet and thin blanket i gave my kids our comforter.

We recieved the free upgrade to SSR from POP! Our stay was September 20-26.

We left IL and drove through the night and arrived at SSR around 10:15 AM. We checked in online 10 days prior. Check in at the resort took about 10 minutes. Our room was not ready. They gave us all our paperwork and maps and told us we would be in Congress Park in building ____. I was super excited it was the building we had requested! They said they would send us a text message when our room was ready.

I loved the big shower! I liked being able to wash a load or two of laundry every night! The grounds are beautiful! I walked around and took pictures of everything. Funny, I never saw the Mickey head on the shingles. LOVE IT!
I went swimming every afternoon and evening.

Wasnt crazy about Artist Point tho.

We stayed in a one bedroom in the Grandstand section in May and loved it. It was our first time staying at SSR and we were not disappointed. The grounds were immaculate and the walk to DTD in the evening was great - so beautiful.

We did stay in both a 1 bed and a Studio - the majority of the stay was in the 1 bed, just one night in the Studio.

There are some comments on my TR about the resort, and more pics. The walk to DTD from Congress Park is fantastic. The views along the waters edge is beautiful. It really is a stunning resort. I wasn't too fond of the HIKE from Congress Park to the Carriage House (esp since a couple days I ended up doing it several times!), but if you are aware of that and prepare for it (and the weather will be warmer!), it's not so bad. :thumbsup2

I cannot say enough good things about Studio #1301. STUNNING views, very fresh and bright - we liked it better than the 1 bed in some ways!

I have my suspicions as to whether the pics are for real or not. Somehow, I doubt it.

We stayed in the Grandstand Sept '09 and LOVED it! It was VERY clean, we saw nothing that was in need of repair, or needed cleaning. We bounced back and are going again this Sept! I honestly cannot think of one negative thing about this resort. :cloud9:

Just a quick note...
The pictures in post 112 are mine and on our arrival day there was mold on the shower grout and door. It was gross and I prefer to not take pictures of that so I didn't. We left a nice tip for mousekeeping and it was taken care of and everything was cleaned. It might have just gotten overlooked the last time the room was cleaned.

If you look hard enough you can find things wrong everywhere...even at Disney. Best thing to do is not dwell on it, *nicely* bring it to someones attention and enjoy your stay at the happiest place on Earth! ;)

I think each Disney resort has a room or two that are left off the mousekeeping list. They are given to guests with attitudes at check in.
I doubt that my theory is true, but one can dream.

I don't have any photos, but I can tell you that SSR's doorways are outdoors. Because the resort is not styled as a hotel, the hallways aren't inside the buildings. However, not all of the hallways are facing the outside so they do not all have a view. :)

our balcony...we were on the 2nd floor in Paddock building closest to Carousel. Right outside our building was the Carousel bus stop which was closer to us than the Paddock stop. We never waited more than 10 min for a bus.

Wow! Amazing photos! Thanks so much for posting. Problem is, now I miss my home! Our last stay was in Nov 2008 - Grand Villa (which was AWESOME!). We stayed at BCV in Feb. and will stay at AKV in Nov. My kids made me promise that "after that, we can go back to Saratoga Springs right!?!?!" Answer: YES! I am looking forward to trying something new...but I do love our SSR and look forward to coming home again!!

Everyone's got their favorites for different reasons. Some like to be by the main pool/building for access to that...so go with Springs section. Some like uber quiet and the first bus stop...so go with Grandstand section. Some like close walking access to Downtown Disney...so go with Congress Park section. I don't usually hear of any special request reasons to get the Springs or Paddock sections - not that there's anything wrong with them...Paddock's 65-68 building is a good backup choice if you like Congress Park for the Downtown Disney access but couldn't get in.

My personal favorite is Congress Park, building 1. It's the closest for walking to Downtown Disney/Marketplace...and I like walking over to the bus stop at Marketplace and grabbing busses to other resorts.

We stayed at SSR in a 2BR villa and THV (and BC) on our most recent trip, and THV definitely felt like its own resort to us. We did pick up packages and swim over at SSR proper a couple times, but we stayed in the THV area most of the time. It was wonderful!! Our villa was right on the water, and the kids LOVED waving at the boats as they passed.

Bumping case anybody has pictures of the new pool?I just booked yesterday for next October and can't wait 3 adults and my 3 boys:) was really worried to start with as my boys lived AKL but they actually loved POP even more!!!! So I was scared they wouldn't think the place was fun enough:confused3Or Disney enough for them. after looking at all these wonderful pics I'm now much happier to see the pools and water jet areas look really fun my boys are sure to love it:cool1:...... I was just desperate to see the new pool I've been looking everywhere for pics, also have they upgraded the TVA to flat screens yet? No big deal if not I was just curious...,.thanks for all the pics I'm now sooooooo ExCITED :woohoo:

When I was there in March the TVs had been upgraded to flat screens :)

Thanks for the youtube link of the new pool. We really enjoyed SSR last year and can't wait to go back next May. The new pool will be such a great bonus. Our only slight complaint would be the queue at Artist Pallet at breakfast time. Has this new area helped ease the queues at all?

Thinking about staying at SSR this summer! Thinking about a split stay with SSR and Bay Lake Tower.

We visited there this past August and the Paddock pool was very nice!:cool1:

WE ALWAYS RENT A CAR, BUT HOW CONVENIENT WALKING IS IT TO DOWNTOWN DISNEY WALKING IF WE GOT THE PADDOCK POOL AREA?

My family and I will be heading to SSR the last week of March(next month can't wait) these pictures are amazing. I have a question I have heard that sometimes if you ask upon check-in if there are any upgrades aval that you sometimes can get upgraded for free. Is this true? Has anyone out there had this happen? Already staying in a 2 bedroom suite, not sure what can be bigger then that. Any info from you all out there would be great. Thanks
