I'm not sure if other resort bars have this option, but The Wave at the Contemporary has the option to get drinks to go and they are delicious! I recommend the Ultimate Long Island Iced Tea.

They also have really nice lounges where you can relax with your drinks. I know I saw some posts about drinking around the monorail... I guess you might be able to drink on the monorail if you want!? :laughing:

Yes we had our long islands to go in plastic cups. They were really neatly garnished with what looked like a palm leaf sword through an orange slice.

When I ordered she said "is this for here or to go?" and we can say "can we take them anywhere?" she smiled and said "yeah anywhere!"

Yes, but anywhere doesn't really mean anywhere. I don't think you can take them in your car and drive around Disney World.

How about a little walk over to the MK and onto the Speedway? :woohoo: On second thought, I might get into a fender bender with the 8yo in front of me :scared: but then again, that happens all the time with sober drivers. ("Breathalyzer officer? No, It's the breaks, I swear it is! There's something funky with the brakes!")

Are there other bars/restaurants with this same option? I know alcohol is not sold in the MK, and you probably can't bring it in, but it might be fun to watch the Floating Water Pageant on the lagoon at the Cont/Pol/GF with a nice, refreshing beverage...

It's good to know that The Wave is one spot where we could do this. I think there's a Pool Bar at the Polynesian, and perhaps other resorts as well - likely in disposable cups...? I figure if Disney is driving, we may as well enjoy a tasty beverage. :yay:
