I've talked with Susie and she's letting me take the hostessing for the School Swap. Now, I've never done a swap, so I'll need some help picking dates and such.
Questions I have for y'all are:
1. Would a Topper & 2 elements work for you for this swap or would you prefer Topper & 1 element?
2. I'm looking at a possible sign-up time for in November and due mid to late January
What do you think of that?
3. Lastly, topics. I was thinking of the following:
Group - General Preschool
Elementary Grade Group: Grades kindergarten - grade 5
Middle School - Grades 6-8
Upper Grade Group: Grades 9-12
High School Events: Prom, Graduation, Science Fair, School Trip
Holiday Fun group: Fall/Harvest/Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine's St. Patrick's Day
Daily Grind Group: Bus, Lunch, Homework Time, Reading
Special Days/Events Group: 1st day of school, Last day of school, Field Trip, Performance (play or singing), Field Day, Graduation, Science Fair, History Fair
Activities Group: Band, Drama, Clubs, Sports
So, how does this sound to you? Would you be interested in a school swap?
Thanks for the help!!!

DS is starting preschool next month so I would definitely be interested in a preschool group.

I have one in preschool and one going into 2nd so I definitely would be interested in joining. I find the school pages are sometimes the hardest ones for me to do.
Either timeframe is fine with me.

I'd prefer due in January.
I would be interested in preschool group, and grades 1-6, but where would my Kindergarten kid be? Around here, it is not considered preschool. Full day, no naps, homework -- it is school. I could do a group of just preschool and just Kindergarten.
For grades 1-6, is it each person picks a grade? THat sounds good to me -- less photos as they get older. The teachers don't invite you in as much - -too busy teaching:thumbsup2
The other groups maybe. Daily grind sounds neat. Special day sounds good too. What is a field day? We don't use that term.

Depending on what else is going on at that time, I might be interested in a high school group (not so much if it's lumped with grades 7 and 8 though.) Titles for Freshman-Sophmore-Junior-Senior would be good. Topics like Graduation, Prom, Science Fair, School Trip, etc.

I would be interested in the preschool and lower grades group. the others sound great as well but i tend to over do it so need to limit myself. the jan due date is better for me as well. we go away for the holidays so no scrapping

If it's due in Jan I might be interested in several groups. Need to see what my schedule looks like first though.

Oops, I forgot about kindergarten!!! That would be in there too. Would you want it in with preschool or in with the elementary grades 1-6?
I was thinking that for grades 1-6, that each person would pick a grade.
For grades 7-12, we could separate and have a group for middle school and possibly put grade 6 in there as well since some have middle school for grade 6, and then do a separate group just for high school. We can add the specific high school things (prom, graduation, etc.).
It looks like a January due date is working best.
I'll make changes to the original post for what we've come up with so far.

Around here it is the last week of school. Each grade gets their own day to play games outside. They rotate through the games as a class. They always sell T-shirts the month or two before and then all the kids sign them on that day.

Sounds fun. We don't have an equivalent. I love te tshirt idea. I'll bring that up at PTA.

I would do the K-5 group for sure. I might do the preschool group...my 4 yr. old doesn't go to preschool...her daycare provider does a preschool program, but the items would probably still work for that. I would possibly do the middle school group as well...not sure if I will actually have any pictures of my 7th grader in school.
