I used to post here a lot but needed a break from drama.. and then life got interesting... but I find myself with a bit more free time (here and there) and wanted to return.
So... where are my Disney Divas??? Chick Chat, anyone?
I'm a 32 year old public relations professional and VP of a puppy mill rescue from the Cleveland, Ohio area. I'm single, no kids, not able to go to disney NEARLY enough because of debt.. but these boards used to give me a fix.
I'm still a kid at heart but I DO know when it's time to grow up.
Anyone care for some senseless babble, new friends, disney related or not?
And yes.. men can come too... play nice :thumbsup2

Hey Cin -
Nice to see you posting - I'm busy finalizing wedding plans and my move to Florida. Life is crazy - but I'm the happiest i've ever been. I guess that's what happens when you find a awesome man who understands you completely.
You'll have to let me know when you are going to make it to WDW so we can meet up since i'll be so close :thumbsup2
Keep in touch!!

So glad to see you! I've always enjoyed your post!
put in bay is great. It's typically a party island but we didn't party too much (pay no mind to my drunken eyes)... we relaxed by the pool a lot:)

I kind of stopped posting and chatting for a bit too, needed a break. I have only been back for a few weeks.
btw those pictures tell a different story...but if you say you weren't partying...than you weren't partying (wink wink) J/k
that is my idea of a perfect vacation though...relaxing by the pool or ocean and not doing anything. :)

Nice to meet you! :flower3: and I very much like your avatar, too, and it is so true. :flower:
It is wonderful that you work at rescuing dogs from puppy mills, it is so sad, that they actually still exist in this country, and it makes me wonder, what that subject may be like in other countries.

Puppy mills are everywhere I"m sure tho the Amish are the main culprits here in the US... Ohio's one of the worst. They use the bible to defend themselves believe it or not.
We have a 3 lb poodle that' 10 years old right now that is so terrified it's sick what a tiny dog that should've been a pampered pet must've gone through. We may not be able to place him as we temperment test and he's going to need a lot of work if he ever gets to the place he's fit to be a pet:(
What's everyone up to today? I'm at work. I'm meeting a friend for lunch soon.. and I have a date tonight:) meeting a guy I"ve gone out with 2 times now and he's bringing his dog and we're going to a waterfall near my house. My idea of an awsome date :thumbsup2 A dude and his beloved dog and the great outdoors!
He looks like a lumberjack. so that's what I'll refer to him as on here.

Hi Cindy!
I just noticed your post. It's really good to see you on the boards again.
I hope things go well with the new beau and his pooch! So great that he's a dog guy. Speaking of which, I got a mailing about MV becoming a 501c3. Congratulations!! I hope that'll translate into more donations for your work!
Be well

Have a wonderful lunch, you know once a week, you can eat whatever you like, and it does not have any calories in it, he he! ;)
Have a great date! :) that is nice that he has a dog, I hope that he likes cats too.
Great news too, for your organization being granted it's 501c3!

Thank you thank you thank you!
Lunch was ok.. Aw wish I'd known about the whole once a week thing. I just had a salad. Hmmm.. tomorrow I'll splurge!
The date was ... well... I just got back and am still speechless. The puppy is great too. We had a ton of fun in the park playing in the creek:)
YES we're 501c3... this opens so many doors for us. We're now a petsmart approved rescue. We're having a big fundraiser in Oct and lots of media will be there and Jana Kohl and HSUS guy and it should be a GREAT success.. we need it. Our vet bills are insane.. we have a few special needers we recently rescued:(
Great to see everyone. Hope everyone's weekend is as great as my tonight was. I'm taking him to Blossom.. an outdoor ampitheatre.. the orchestra plays there in the summer. I"m making a nice picnic/wine and we'll see how cultured the lumberjack is:)
Tom... it's awesome to see you again

Gisele... I'm in Ohio... we're based out of the Cleveland area... Ohio's one of the top states in puppy mills. we're oh so proud:(
Hi Sha!!
I've been so out of the loop.. not even lurking aside from here and there on my disney trade thread I like. So no clue what everyone is up to.
Sand that stinks. For me, the more I see someone I'm dating or whatever... the more I miss him when we're apart. I'm sure your time together was wonderful:)
Seeing some old high school friends for dinner tonight.. some I haven't seen in 14, 15 years! Tomorrow my niece and nephew spend the night after I get my hair done...
Sunday I have an adoption event then I'm taking the Lumberjack to see the orchestra.. I have to think of nice things to pack for a picnic. Thinking fruit, cheese, crackers, bread, olives, wine (coors for him)...
I don't know what Lumberjacks eat and I Don't want to being steak and beef jerky :confused3

Hey Cin,
Sounds like things are going good for you. I hope this new guy in your life works out for you.
I also wanted to say that living here in Washington State, we don't call them Lumberjacks anymore but rather Loggers (in fact I'm going to a Loggers Festival (http://www.loggersjubilee.com/) in Morton today)
Thanks to Monty Python (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5zey8567bcg), things have changed.
Have a nice date.

I should know better than to get too excited. Ah well.
Hope you're doing well..

Hi Cin - 'It's another Sat. night and I ain't got nobody', as the song goes (well I do but he's 1000 miles away, camping with boy scouts) ... I came across your thread. Fun thread!
Glad to hear things are well with you! I like the Lumberjack nickname. I have always given guys I dated nicknames sometime my friends and family didn't even know their real names! ;)

Hi Bren - I totally relate to the living in 2 states...I have 6 weeks until we end our LDR and finally begin to live a 'normal' life! Seeing them everyday will be wonderful, wont it?! Have fun with the wedding plans, very excited for you! Trying to coordinate the move is not so fun - it's not exactly like moving across town but instead 1000 miles. :scared1: Thankfully when I sold my house last year I really trimmed down my 'stuff' but it's still a bit overwhelming!

Congrats on only having 6 weeks - but honestly I'm only about double about 12 weeks since I'm moving to FL at the end of the year - can't wait!
Having lots of fun planning our Disney wedding. We should have meant up when we were both in WDW in July - but I'm sure we can on a future trip in DL or WDW. I can't wait to be with him everyday but I know your understand. I'm trimming stuff alot. Keep in touch!!!! Best of luck with your move :wizard: - since our relationships are so similar it has to work out great for us both! :thumbsup2
Take care!!!

Your time to move will be here before you know it! I can't believe how fast this past year as gone. A year ago I had no idea I would be moving to CA!
We would love to meet you both sometime when we are at WDW again! And do let us know if you are ever planning a trip to DL! Mr. CA lives about an hour from DL, very easy to drive there.
Our relationships are soooo similar and I have no doubt that we'll all live happily ever after! :grouphug:
When we were in WDW in July celebrating our 1st year anniversary,
we got some really cute but positive remarks from everyone we told about how we met. I'm sure you do too!
Let's do keep in touch and I'm looking forward to hearing about your Disney wedding!
