I need to get 2 77mm lens cap for my Nikon camera. I have looked online and have seen some for real cheap on ebay. Has anyone bought a lens cap from ebay and if so what do you think of the quality of it. Most of these caps seem to be coming from China and cost about 10.00 shipped. I can get one from b&h video for about 18.00 plus shipping.

IMO, a lens cap is a lens cap. I have never worried about the quality. Even the cheapest build will work. I have bought off these guys a few times with 100% satisfaction. http://www.camerafilters.com/pages/lenscaps.aspx

You might check a local camera store that's been around for a while. I've seen some with a box full of old lens caps for virtually nothing.
Who knows, you may even find a WDW lens cap like I did in a photo consignment shop... and then lose it at Disneyland a year later. :(

Adorama and Beach have some. I bought an inexpensive, off brand one at Best Buy for my 50mm lens- fits just fine. They must be universal since they will fit different brand filters.

don't know where you are located but i ordered something from hong kong off ebay once, ( 2 step up rings, 2 different sizes) they sent 2 of the same size took about a month to reach me then they wanted me to send the wrong one back at my cost before they would send the right one which would have cost me more in shipping than the rings originally cost ( ebay stepped in and made them send the right size and said they would have to pay to get the other one back which they never did). the rings must have been really cheap since they bent and i could only use them a couple times before they wouldn't screw on,,,never again :) i'd try a camera store that might carry a quantrary or sunpak type brand of stuff and see if they don't have a spare, you might be able to get one for around $10 ( what my last one cost when i thought i lost one, bought one then found the first one of course, stinkin black inside of the camera bag won again)

I have gotten pure crap from hong kong on occasion but I have also gotten some decent stuff it all depends on what you are ordering I guess.
I got a remote for my camera that is a clone tried it this weekend and works great, some of the cheap filters I have seen leave much to be desired.
The stuff from deal extreme I will bet dimes to doughnuts is from hong kong also but will probably be ok.
