I was wondering if you're on the basic ddp, and you go to a signature 2 credit restaurant, does it include the appy, or is it just if you're on the deluxe plan?

Not sure if you count it as a "signature" meal, but the exception on the 2 TS credits is at Cinderella's dinner meal...the fixed price meal is 2 TS, and on the DDP you do get an appetiser. The choices in May 2008 were a BLT salad (very, very good) or corn-crab soup (also very, very good) or a spring roll (don't know, our party didn't try it.)
Also, the Fantasmic Dinner Package at Brown Derby (2 TS) includes an appy, as does the Fantasmic Dinner Package at Mama Melrose (1 TS) They include the appetisers on these because the price is fixed for the Dinner Package, so you can't order the cheapest thing on the menu & get the reserved seats. We did the package in May 2008, and we're doing it again in September. Both times we got the reservations we were reminded that it's price-fixed and does include the appetiser. (they also charge your credit card if you're a no-show.)
We were on the basic DDP in May and will be on Free Dining DDP in September.

Appetizers are not included on the basic (regular) dining plan for anyone over age 9.
The exceptions seem to be: fixed menu all you can eat meals that include appetizer offerings, and the Fantasmic Dining Package.
