Christmas Festivities

Oh I'm full of questions today. I'm thinking of maybe changing the dates of our next trip. When do the christmas festivities end? Do they go on for a bit after christmas? I'd love to go for it all, but we can't go over christmas and oh can't get hols before, so was just wondering if they go on for a week or 2 afterwards?

I think they run until 6th January.

Indeed they do. But... We've found in the past when we've gone just after the Christmas season that a lot of the decorations are still there for a while after, even if the parade etc aren't.

Thanks everyone. I actually answered my own question after I posted, typical eh? :rotfl:

What would you all do? I was going to book at the end of January, but if I book to arrive on 4th January for 6 days it's the same price and we would get 4th, 5th and 6th with all the christmas goings on. But with a months less spending money lol. Do you think it's worth moving it forward? Or do you think as it's quite a bit after christmas it wont really be any different? I'd love all your thoughts on this please?

Christmas at DLRP is completely stunning, and if you can, personally, I'd move your trip forward to get to see it.

It really is so beautiful around the Castle and on Main St especially, it honestly makes me cry :love: :love: .

I'm planning on exactly that time in early January, 2010 (who knows, it might be 2009 if the lottery fairy visits in time)

Cool. Is that because you all secretly know it's a good time to go? Maybe for the reasons I just said? Or does that mean it's going to be really busy? And all our little secrets wont really be secrets because the parks will be full of Disers?

Seriously a Dis meet must be arranged, so many DISers in the same place at the same time it must be done!
