Ok, so I have done a whole Disney theme to all my displays in my classroom this year. Lots of red, white, black and yellow. I'm stumped right now, because I need to do a hallway display with all the kids names, does anyone have a cute saying that I can put in the hallway to welcome the kids for the school year?

How about a teacher with mouse ears holding balloons with each kids name on it?

That would be cute- what kind of title would you use? I'm really brain dead tonight-

How about something like:
Step into a World of Wonder
Your Name's Mousketeers

I think on it overnight.

Adorable..

We had a teacher one year that did a cowboy them.. and the first day of school she wore a "cowgirl" outfit, hat, and sheriff badge and as the kids entered the room they were given straw cowboy hats and handkerchefs!! It was the cutest thing in the world!!! The kids that they were at a party instead of the first day of school!!!!

I love your idea MT!!! Love it!!! Can't wait to see photos!!!

How about "Hey there Hi there Ho there, you're as welcome as can be" and then have mouse ears with each kid's name.

I think we need to have a bulletin board crop to all get together and work on this. It would be a blast! šOš

A few years ago I had DH make me a larger sorcerer Mickey. He was in the center of my hallway display and I had glittery stars with the kids'names on them. I think the title was "Welcome to a Magical Year".

I am a second year elementary reading teacher and LOVE all of your ideas! My goal is to have a Disney themed classroom because it is one of my favorite things ever. Do any of you have any other suggestions on how to make my room Disney themed by bulletin boards, classroom ideas, etc?

Also, since I am new to the board are there are other posts about Disney themed classrooms on here? I'm a little lost on this site right now! Thanks for all of your help. :-)

I don't know about any other threads but hopefully another teacher can help you out.

Hmmmm, what can you do with Disney. A pic of the castle of course. Since you teach reading there are tons of Disney stories. Anyone who does math can talk about distances to WDW, Paris, Hong Kong, Tokyo and DL.

Oh how about a writing assignment for Flat Mickey instead of Flat Stanley! My DS6 did Stanley last year and loved it!

Can you do your alphabet and numbers on Mickey heads? If you do a number pocket thing for the number of days of school you could do the mickey head paint chips from Home Depot, of course you would have to pilfer a few at a time. :rolleyes1
