I just have a quick question...no flames please. I understand that for a family of 5 that you should be in a 2 bedroom ( we have no one in a pack and play), but I have read on here that sometimes they will let you stay in a 1 bedroom. :) If this is the case, can we(all 5) still get the DDP? or is the # of people only listed as 4 on the ressie so no can do the DDP? I am a rule follower, don't want to offend anyone-no flames please-thanks

they will let you book 5 in a one bedroom. They will not furnish bedding or towels for that person though. It appears from most posts on here that it is sort of hit and miss. However, the AKV 1BR units are supposed to sleep 5 because they have a chair in the living room that makes into a single bed besides the couch. You should be able to put all 5 people on the DDP.

If you tell them 5 and they book it you can get the DDP if you want.

You can't be a rule follower if you are putting 5 in a 1BR. Can't have it both ways. In the interests of accuracy , perhaps it would be better to say "I take advantage of situations in which rules aren't being enforced."

She IS following the rules if she books at AKV.
I have 5 of us booked into a 1 bedroom at AKV in December for our first night, just because I want my niece and nephew to see AKV. Then we move to a 2 bedroom at VWL for the rest of the trip. I'm also on the wait list for a 2 bedroom for that first night at AKV but if none comes through, we can be a bit crowded for just one night.

Since the OP's original question about the DDP has been answered, this thread is now closed as it is turning into an occupancy discussion. Please visit our Occupancy Thread if further discussion is desired. Thanks all! :)
