No problem..

we have to rent our books every year.. yep, seriously.. we rent our books!
we have to pay for our agendas, home room folder (of which I don't recall ever seeing or maybe that was the manila file folder that we saw at parent/teacher conference)..
we pay for the locker rental, technology fees, lab fees

plus his yearbook.. usually you have to buy a gym uniform but that said I can reuse the one we already have! Thank goodness!!

I had to buy my books in high school too, but renting a locker?! That surprises me. Wow.

we don't rent or buy books at all. but we do get a letter once a week from the pto wanting money for this or that. it seemed to me last year that i really got something every other or sometimes every week.

Our PTO does various fundraisers but they are all events.. like a Fall Festival, Santa Shoppe (they buy 1.00 items sale them for 1.50 and they make the 50 cent profit). I think we sold pizzas one year right around Super Bowl time..that is a big hit.... but we don't send stuff home weekly...

The only fundraisers I know that my kids deal w/ is Middle School for the athletics when school starts...
and HS~ I know they do car washes and such for some of the sports...but not for CC.. I think since it is such a small team the parents just pay for it.. which reminds me.. need to budget out some money for the team t-shirt... and might want to ask Coach what else they plan on buying as a team!

Lol! My mom was a 3rd grade teacher and knew EVERYONE! All the way up through high school. So my brothers and I couldn't get away with anything. When I went to the local Jr. college, I thought I was in heaven with new found freedom. Nope. My dad taught part time in the English department. I didn't even think about it until one day I skipped my English class and the professor asked my dad if I was sick. :scared: Oops. Fortunately my dad is laid back and just laughed.
