Hi

I've been reading with interest all the threads about virgin Premium economy.

I think Im going to try these next year and in the next few weeks the flights will become available to book. I was wondering if you could give me some advice - so i'm ready as as soon as the dates become available.

I will be flyin from manchester- MCO

Can you chose your seat numbers when you book? If so anyone tell me what they think the best seats are -(on some of the threads I searched it mentioned upstairs- but not sure if that is just flights from london?)

How is the food - do you have a choice?

Any other info you think I need?

I appreciate all help

Many thanks;)

we flew PE from Manchester earlier this year. We had seats upstairs and chose the ones on the left side at the back (so nobody sitting behind us). I would stay clear of the ones near the front as they are close to the toilets and the smells aren't always that pleasing ;)
Food, just a plain choice like in economy (2 meat choices and 1 veggie option), a bit nicer though, but nothing that special.

The upstairs ("bubble") seating is most people's preference since there is better service and it tends to be quieter. Once you book your flights you'll be able to log on to the VA website and make seat requests. Flights from both MAN and LGW offer the upstairs seating, although there is a rumor that upstairs will be changed to UC in the future.

The food isn't great, but you do get a choice and it is served on china and with proper cutlery unlike in Economy. In addition, the cabin crew come round with bread rolls and a fresh fruit basket.

when you book and get your reference number just go to the virgin website and to amend booking you will then see all the seats that are available in PE.
As said, the seats at the back or good - row 79 or row 80.
If you are phoning to book ask them for those seats:thumbsup2
remember though these seats are not guaranteed..

Thanks for the prompt replies

Just to confirm

ask to sit upstairs row 79 or 80

Will your seats still be able to reline fully if sitting at the back?

No, none of the PE seats fully recline. The seats at the back do not recline any more than the other PE seats.

Sorry

I just meant that the recline is not hampered by being at the back

On other airlines I've been on, The people sitting at the back were at a disadvantage as thier seats did not recline at all.;)

The back seats recline as much as the other PE seats do.

Also, the last row on the left hand side (79 A&C i think) has an extra little side table on the aisle - which is very handy. The shelf that they leave the drinks and fruit on is also behind these seats so very handy.
